One enjoys amazing ocean and beach views from every room of this spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath cliffside home. Casa Mega is one of 4 units in a small vacation resort. This house has an outside deck and two spacious outside porches. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, the living room leads via a bar into the kitchen and into the screened porch area. This house has access to a community pool. Amazing ocean... and beach views are to be enjoyed from any room. This house has all the modern amenities one expects from a modern house but the house has a traditional Costa Rican spanish and tropical living design . The large deck has a rancho that offers shade all day long. The privacy of this home is amazing and one feels as the Flamingo South ridge belongs all to oneself.

  We came to Playa Flamingo for some much needed R&R.; We have stayed at the mega resorts in Mexico- which have their plusses and minuses, but we wanted something different, more relaxing. Casa Mega and Playa Flamingo fit the bill.We stayed the first 4 days in Casa Leon, which is below Casa Jungle and beside Casa Mega, which is above Casa Tigre. Casa Leon has more of the jungle feel, and is the most private of the 4 rentals. Casa Mega is a much larger rental with spectacular views! The house has a very nice set up- two air conditioned suites, both very private. The kitchen is nice, but the fridge, which works great, is a bit beat-up on the outside. Most of the indoor furniture is nice, including the screened in patio area, but the outdoor furniture is getting a bit worn out. I talked to the owner after our trip and she said that they are constantly working on the villas (which is apparent) and new outdoor furniture is on the list. The BBQ and the pool were definitely two great plusses, although if you stay at Casa Jungle, the common area is in your front door. We never could hook up to the internet- you need to be able to hook into the cable, and we only had a tablet. But, we were really there to unplug, so that was okay. Chico and Jan where the best part of our experience. They took very good care of us and were always very accommodating and friendly. They are proof of "Pura Vida" in CR. Jan even did our laundry a couple of times. I could have packed much less. Don't be too intimidated by the walk down the hill to the beach- it is not too bad. The hillside neighborhood has great charm. Do stop at the office next to Coco Loco to get the key and have a Roberto take you up the hill the first time. The roads up the hill are a maze. We bought our food at the store and cooked in . Our patio was the best dining room in town! Take the extra 20 minutes to go into Liberia for groceries once you arrive, much cheaper than the markets in the small towns along the way.

  Thanks for your feedback. We just got a new beautiful wood table and 5 traditional costa rican style chairs with engraving "Casa Mega" on the leather. I will update some pictures shortly. We also finished some improvement for the garden, stairs, and etc.. Plus, Casa Mega has its own wireless access now. Hope you will get the chance to come back soon and enjoy Casa Mega again.
