This beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house is just two blocks to the Playa Grande beach, you can hear the ocean when sitting on the porch or watch humming birds and butterflies flying around the tropical flowers planted right in front of the house. The house is furnished with custom made teak furniture.
Upstairs is a large bedroom with king size bed, teak ceiling and private bathroom with his and hers sink, walk in shower, private toilet and jacuzzi tub. This bedroom opens up to the private upstairs porch where you can enjoy beautiful sunset relaxing on the oversized daybed or watch rain coming down in green season.

The apartment is short walking distance to the beach as well as all the local restaurants and bars. There is a medical and dental clinic only 5 minute walk from our place.
Once or twice a week you can buy fresh fish from our local fisherman or pastry from German bakery that comes to town as well.
If you won't have a car there is a option to have your groceries delivered from one of the biggest grocery stores in area for a small fee right into your apartment.

Our family just returned from staying at this home in Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. We had a wonderful trip and the home was extremely comfortable and close to the beach, restaurants, and even surf shops.
The veranda was great, relaxing sitting outside after a day exploring the area. The rooms are very comfortable, with a wonderful great room and full kitchen.
We would definitely stay at this home again. -

1st impression; the place was bigger than expected... the entire 2nd floor is the master bedroom with a large bathroom and private balcony. (something to consider if splitting with friends or couples) 1st floor has two smaller bedrooms (adequite size), bathroom, and the rest of the house is an open floor plan. This includes a full functional kitchen, dining table, and living area with ample comfortable seating and a TV that would be more fitting if it were attached to the exterior of a building in Time square.
Accomodations very close to "the strip" as well as the surf shop, Hotel Tortugas, and the beach. The low comparative cost to rent the property, as well as the centralized location more than justify the lack of an ocean view.
This is a generally clean, comfortable, and pleasent place to stay. -

I wanted a quiet, get-away vacation; but didn't want to be too far from amenities. This was perfect. The clean, beautiful home was only 200 yards from the gorgeous, pristine beach, and some mornings we had the beach completely to ourselves. The friendly owners provided anything we wanted; and directed us to two great little restaurants that were within walking distance. One night we joined in the fun of a 5:00 drink at the beach (a sunset-watching ritual). But we mostly stayed to ourselves and had the most peaceful vacation ever. The house is beautiful.

Our family enjoyed week in Playa Grande in January 2012. We have chosen this place due to it's location and mostly due to reasonable rates. We were so pleased as to how clean and new everything was, the convenience of beach, restaurants and shops. Even though there was no pool here we did not mind at all as the beach was very close. The owners were very helpful with any questions or needs we had. Our kids took lots of surfing lessons and my husband and I enjoyed many sunset walks on the beach. We also took a trip to the arenal volcano, which was only about 3 hours away, well worth it. Over all I would highly recommend this place, if it's for romantic getaway, surfing trip or family vacation. We will be back for sure very soon!
