Come to Costa Rica and stay in a home by the beach, not an overpriced hotel! This is a beautiful, family-owned home in a secure complex of beach bungalows off the beaten path in the Playa Hermosa. The bungalow is raised on stilts for views to the ocean, which is about 100 yards away. It is located directly behind the pool, central in the complex, and the large balcony has awesome views of the pool day and night, with the Pacific Ocean visible beyond the pool.

Hermosa Beach Bungalows is a unique beach community of mostly American owners, some of whom live on-site and some who rent their homes. It is an ideal location in Playa Hermosa, just a few minutes south of the town of Jaco, but feels very remote. There is 24-hour security.
Just in front of the bungalow complex is the Almendro Tree, known by the surf community as a landmark for incredible surfing. The beach is a beautiful black sand beach, and is often empty of anyone except the occasional surfer. International surf competitions are annually held in Playa Hermosa, within walking distance up the beach from our bungalow.
There are several things to do in the area, including zipline canopy tours, ATV tours, horseback riding, hiking, birdwatching, deep sea fishing, jet skis, and golfing.
Within driving distance is the Carara natural bird sanctuary, and Manuel Antonio national park where capuchin monkeys are frequently seen swinging above in the trees. The Marriott Los Suenos resort is about 15 minutes north where the marina and golf course are options for a get away to ocean sports or a day on the links.
