Casa Puesta del Sol is a great place for a family vacation. We were there with our 3 year old son and another family. The late check in was very smooth. Gus, the Property Manager, was friendly and helpful with all our needs. The main house is more spacious than is aparent from the photos and the daily maids service keeps it tidy at all times. The view of Playa Hermosa is magnificent. A variety of of tropical birds visit every morning. We spent our days in the pool, in beautiful Playa Hermosa and in the Condovac club. It was a relly relaxing vacation.

Beautiful homes with un parallel views of the pacific. Time stands still on lounge chairs or hanging your arms over the infinity edge of main pool. Puesta was well equipped both household items and staff. Cleaning girls did a great job and Gus accommodated every request our group had.
Almost 2 weeks back in the rat race and already I am planning the next trip. The culture really grows on you fast and you can't help wanting to return and experience what you missed on this trip.
Thanks Jeff, Gus and staff for making the first of many trips unforgettable.

We throughly enjoyed our family stay at Puesta del Sol. All 8 adults had more than enough private space but we had lots of time together in the main room and around the beautiful pool. The furnishings and kitchen gadgets were a bit dated but sufficient. I never tired of the incredible view. The Hermosa area is lovely and very convenient with fun restaurants and bars nearby. It's a short walk to the beach. Everything was very well maintained and super clean. All maintenance staff and our hosts were very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back.

I have stayed in several homes leased by Jeff's company and this is my new favorite. The swim up bar and outdoor kitchen area were great!! It has an outdoor shower and a restroom so you rarely have to go inside for anything. But when you do go inside everything was perfect. This home has all of the entertainment electronics you could ever want, including a land line to the states. I saved hundreds of dollars on my phone bill alone! Once again, thanks for a wonderful vacation! I am already looking at my calendar for the spring. Paige. Germantown, TN.

We stayed at the main house which was great for a small family vacation (4 adults and 2 young children 4y and 10m). All three bedrooms are of nice size with comfortable beds. The house features a very open floor plan that combines kitchen/dining room and living room, again good for families and entertainment. From there one can get incredible views of the Playa Hermosa. The house is situated on a hill above the tree lines facing west, so we had some incredible views of sun setting over the ocean. The house is spacious with all the amenities, comfortable furniture and TVs/Dvds in each room. My daughter (4) loved to watch her own TV in her room. WiFI worked great. Kitchen had nice granite countertops, all the appliances, which were quite new and several bar stools that served great when we wanted a quick snack. The best part of the house was the infinity pool and the grounds outside which were beautiful, well maintaned. The pool was one of the biggest that we saw (we toured several houses), had a wet and dry bar (we did not use it much, but it's a great set up for a party)and had a deep end (great for diving). My daughter still keeps reminding me how much she loved it. We spent hours just hanging onto the edge, overlooking the forest below and the ocean only a mile away - fantastic views. They had a charcoal fireplace ouside, but we did not use it. We would relax in the comfortable lounge chairs poolside, where I would also read books in the evenings. The pool has great lighting for an evening swim. We walked to the beach several times (about a 10 minute walk). There are a lot of animals in the forest around the house (monkeys, hudnreds of birds, lizards, etc.) that give it a great feel. We also peaked into the cassita and it was very clean, well set up. Beachfront, especially Gus, provided excellent service and would take care of anything we wanted/needed. Just call his cell Overall we were highly satisfied. P.S. there are several great restaurants close by.

We had a group of 10 friends that stayed at Puesta del Sol. Since it was our first time to Costa Rica we had tons of questions and we could not asked for a better person than Guss to help us out. He spent several hours with us when we first arrived going over places to go and answering our questions.
The casa was a wonderful place to gather around the pool and enjoy the beautiful views of Playa Hermosa. Some of the group enjoyed the pool everyday while watching unique birds, monkeys at a distance, and iguanas. Others of the group took a tour to Nicaragua and had a thrilling time on a canopy tour. The casita was perfect and had its own kitchen for those early morning coffee drinkers! The beach and restaurants were very close to the casa. We enjoyed eating at Ginger's in Hermosa, Father Rooster's in Ocotal, and Coconuts in Coco. Everywhere we went we found the people warm and friendly. We will definitely go back and hope to stay at the Puesta del Sol.

We stayed in Casa Puesta del Sol for 7 days. We were 6 adults and 4 children (age between 4 and 70 years). We were a little worried about coming there in the rainy season, but for no reason at all. It did rain, but only for short periods and always at afternoons and at night. The house is located perfect in calm and beautifull surroundings. Rooms are big and you have plenty of space to whatever you bring of luggage. We spent most of our indoor-time in the combined kitchen and livingroom, which is really big but very cozy. Also here you have a great view of the pool and the bay.
The pool is perfect situated with view over the ocean and bay. We did spend many hours just lying there enjoying the view.
Both Gus (concierge) and Elsy (maid) gave us the greatest service ever. And also the all the people we met in Playa Hermosa and surroundings were very helpfull.
We will for sure come back to Costa Rica and Casa Puesta del Sol. -

Our family of five spent a fantastic 8 days at Puesta del Sol. The location ( Playa Hermosa) for us was ideal. Several trips up and down the coast as well as a few inland made us quickly realise how fortunately placed we were. The house is roomy and comfortable and we at once felt quite at home. The pool was wonderful, however the beach is a mere minute or two away, and was never even close to crowded. The luxurious views from the patio and the pool at sunset are amazing !!!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Puesta del Sol for a belated honeymoon this past December. I chose the house because some girlfriends and I had stayed there 4 years ago for spring break and loved it. The trip was absolutely everything we could have hoped for. We initially planned to have a rental car, but when that didn't work out we were so relieved to discover that we absolutely did not need a car anyway. The concierge, Guss, made sure we had a ride anywhere we wanted to go. But almost everything was walking distance anyway--two groceries, restaurants, and even the beach was less than 10 minutes away. The house was pristene, the pool was gorgeous, and the whole week was wonderful. We took one adventure trip to Rincon de la Vieja national park, and Guss organized a ride and a tour guide for us. The rest of our days were spent at the beach and at our own private pool. I would encourage any couple or small group who wants the benefit of total privacy and the convenience of a great location to make a reservation here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Puesta del Sol. Gus showed us around when we got there and was there to answer any questions we had after and throughout the week. The maids were very pleasant and stayed out of your way. We didn't spend a whole lot of time inside (except to sleep and some prep work in the kitchen) because the outdoor living space was awesome. We used the pool(s), outdoor bar,the deck and the BBQ daily. The few times we did leave the house for a while, we we glad to get back to our home away from home. We have a three year old daughter and the main pool was great for kids. We preferred being away from the beach (better view) but the beach was only a short walk or a 3 min drive from the house. We would highly recommend the Casa Puesta del Sol to any family.

Great rental. As the name implies it has wonderful views and sunsets. We really liked the little touches (cellular phone, c.d., satelite t.v., garage door opener, etc.). Elsie the housekeeper was so sweet and kept the house and grounds immaculate. Short walk to laid back Playa Hermosa beach and restaurants. Will certainly stay here again.

We just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had in Playa Hermosa over Christmas 2008. Casa (and Casita) Puesta del Sol were amazing, with plenty of room for 4 adults and five teenagers and beautiful views and a great, relaxing environment. Sitting on top of the hill overlooking the cove was the perfect location. It was close to town (we actually walked home from the beach one day) but peaceful, too. I think we could have spent the next 10 months just sitting out by your pool from sunrise to sunset. Playa Hermosa was definitely a good choice for us. There were lots of places to eat -- Ginger, El Velero Hotel, La Finisterra and Villa del Suenos for New Year's Eve was really a great evening. And these were all in Playa Hermosa. Of course, we loved Father Rooster's in Ocotal on the beach and Papagayo seafood in Coco. Don't go to Ocotal Beach Resort for dinner -- YUK!, with racoons on the patio to boot! Guss, our concierge, was so great in helping to set our activities, getting us settled and fixing the very few minor things that we needed. Our housekeepers were also very friendly and it was such a nice luxury to have a spotless house and clean clothes to come home to after a day of fun activities -- there were always plenty of clean towels. Please continue to recommend Rafael at MOA to your other clients, as he was fabulous and made all of our excursions totally enjoyable. We loved the white water rafting, ziplining, trip to Miravelles volcano and the rainforest climb including the swim in the waterfall. The snorkeling/sunset cruise with Tahini tours in Hermosa was also a lot of fun. Marisio at H2O Sports in Playa Panama was very accomodating for our jet ski adventure. This was one of our best vacations ever -- for the teenagers AND the adults. We will definitely recommend visiting Guanacaste and Puesta del Sol to all of our friends. I just want to thank Beachfront Properties and their staff for showing me and my family a fabulous time while staying at the home Casa Puesta Del Sol. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. The house opens up to the backyard and overlooks the ocean. We sat on the veranda and watched the rains come in around 5PM almost every evening. We had a cleaning lady and concierge everyday. While me and my family rented the main house, my brother and his friends rented the casita and it worked out perfectly. We went on several excursions (Uno Mas Adventure Tours)(horsebackriding, fishing, snorkeling) and loved the local guys who took us on them. We became good friends and even had them to dinner!! My family and friends stayed at Casa Puesta del Sol in the summer of 2008. The weather was nearly perfect with only one day of rain out of 9. To say the Casa and casita Puesta del Sol was great would be an understatement. We stayed in the casita and our friends took the main house. The casita is beautiful with the gardens and pool and is very private from the other house. Yet, we were seconds away from joining the others at the main pool with its great views to the ocean. We had an ocean view too from the second floor.
What was really great was we had everything at the casita 2 bedrooms and 2 baths a full kitchen our own pool. It's really a shame that you can't rent the casita by itself because I'd stay there again. The main house was beautiful too and had much more room. Most days we stayed at the upper pool which easily handled out group to 9. One night we cooked on the BBQ, which was custom built out of brick and tile. It was charcoal and the food tasted better than the gas one at home.
Beachfront, the property manager was awesome. Guss, the concierge was like having a friend in town! He was so helpful. We had a maid, Elyse, I wish we could have taken her home with us. Everything that was said in other reviews was accurate about Puesta del Sol, it is an amazing place, great sunsets, easy walk to the beach. The perfect home. -

The house and pool area were absolutely amazing. We felt right at home because the house had every amenity you could ever want. The kitchen and dining area were wonderful as we cooked big family style meals every night. It barely rained but the few hours it did during our ten day stay were hardly ruined. There is a large outdoor covered patio we were able to stay under. The views are amaizing and I would highly recommend this home to anybody and everybody.
We were able to conveniently drive from the house to many different places and a small market is right around the corner making our life very easy. I cannot say enough about the area but where we spend most of out time is the pool. Relaxing and perfect with breath taking sunsets ending every day. The staff was fun and very helpful from the pool boy to the maid. We felt lucky to stay there! -

My family plus inlaws stayed at Casa Puesta del Sol for 6 days in May 09 and were very pleased with all it had to offer. There was 5 of us total and the home was very adequate for all of us. We didn't think the swimming pool was going to be a big deal...it really was! All of us were in it every day, even the grandparents. The kitchen was better than expected. To me that was important. We cooked at the house as much as possible. The bbq was great for the fresh wahoo we caught that day. One piece of advise I'd give is to read the instructions and advise sheet at the home when you get there. We used way too much water doing laundry and showers as soon as we arrived. Be careful-you can run out of water! It comes back the next day. Guss was the best. We loved having the gals come to clean. Supurb home Jeff. Thanks again. You were a pleasure to deal with.

We spent a fantastic week at the house, relaxing after stressful exams. Everything went smoothly. The manager met us at the house with keys and had helpful answers and suggestions. The beach was close, but the pool and view made it hard to want to leave.
We cooked out and used the full kitchen to make wonderful dinners. The cleaning service did laundry, keeping us well supplied with clean beach towels.
We felt safe at night, and enjoyed resting by the pool. I would highly recommend Casa Puesta del Sol to anyone. -

was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The house was great
and the casita was adorable, as well. My friends and I had a fantastic
vacation. The beautiful beach is just a short walk or drive, and it was
an incredibly relaxing trip. We ate at a great restaurant within walking
distance and the grocery store was right around the corner. Perfect

We came back for a third visit to CR and it was our third stay at Casa Puesta Del Sol. On our first visit two years ago, our group decided the pool and deck at PDS was "the best place in Costa Rica" as you get nice breezes, a great view of the Pacific, and the house and property are truly deluxe.
The concierges are helpful and can help you plan events like the sunset cruise on the Tahini, a 52-foot catamaran out of Hermosa. The beach is only a few minutes away by car or foot and we think staying there isn't nearly as nice as this private neighborhood overlooking the beach. We feel very secure and safe at the Casa and spend more time in the pool than anywhere else!
We recommend hiking in nearby Rincon Volcano park, and doing a day trip to Arenal from PDS. Costa Rica beats out Mexico and the Caribbean in our opinion on so many fronts. Whether you want to chillax by the pool all week, or mix it up with nearby adventures, CPDS has it all. -

One of the best vacation rentals we have booked in our twenty years of traveling. The photos didn't lie - the home was exactly as we had hoped. The natural landscaping surrounding the house was lush and tropical and the handcrafted wood living room and kitchen made it seem like our home away from home. It featured 3 bedrooms & 3 very spacious bathrooms. The Master suite had a private entrance opening up to the patio and pool. The elegant decor and design of this home made us feel right at home.
The view overlooking the bay was breathtaking during the day. One night we had a passing thunderstorm, the lightening reflecting over the bay at night made it absolutely thrilling to see. The maid service was delightful and she even surprised us and cooked us a real costa rican lunch.
Mr. Grayson was so helpful. He recommended the best place to see, (highly recommend going to see the volcano); the best local restaurants to eat; and activities for the kids (zip line was a blast).
The Casa home was just being finished but looked just as elegant as the main house. The swimming pool with waterfall design leading down to the two bedrooms - I wish I could design for my own home in the states.
I would highly recommend staying here and we cannot wait until we can return. Next time we will be bringing friends. -

We spent a truly amazing month at Casa Puesta del Sol.
The house was everything we had imagined and more. The Pasific Ocean dominates the view especially when looking out from the infinity pool.
Everything you will need is at the house and shopping is just minutes away..A ten minute walk and you are at beautiful Hermosa Beach.
Water sports are available as well as local boats for snorkling, fishing or just sightseeing. We went out at least once a week and saw Dolphins, whales and a variety of colourful fish. There are lots of wonderful beaches that you can only find in a boat. There is a great zipline place close by and Coco Beach has lots of restaurants and shops. Hermosa also has a lots of great places to eat but we did enjoy barbeques at the house.
The staff at Beachfront really made our stay enjoyable and worry free. Gus was available for any questions, Elsie and Diana took great care of the house and Cujo was the guy for all things around the pool and yard.
Our friends really enjoyed their holiday at the casita(guest house) It is a very roomy two bedroom two bath house with its own Kitchen and small pool. It is just steps away from the main house but still very private.
We spent most of our time at the pool and around the pool bar.
we had monkeys in the trees beside the house and casita and parrots nesting in the trees.
You will not be disappointed if you spend some time at Casa Puesta Del Sol.
