Photos do not do this place justice. It was gorgeous and perfect for our 2-week vacation. We have stayed in some beautiful places in this world but this place took our breath away...literally. The house, the property, the views!
We are booking our flights this week to return for another 2-week stay in January and there wasn't even a question of where we would stay.
This definitely will be our annual family vacation spot. -

The house is beautiful and spacious! We had an awesome first 3 days, and then tradgedy struck our group. Without the help of Rory (Rory's Rides) we would have been cluesless. Rory and Guss were so sweet and kind, they got us through one of the most difficult times in any of our lives. We all thank Rory and Guss for their help. The house is fantastic for mulitple couples or families. We had 8 people in the main house with out a problem.

TorontoThe perfect homebase for our Costa Rican Christmas.
Left on 01/15/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We rented Casa Cox over the 2011 Christmas holiday and would do it again in a flash. The view knocked our socks off and is enough incentive to return. The infinity pool was enjoyed by all 12 of our party, aged 8 months to 73. We didn't want to be right by the beach and really valued the tranquility and privacy of the location, both the Monte Paraiso development and Casa Cox, which was at the top of the hill within the development. We felt very safe in the gated community. The gatehouse was usually manned by two guards, but sometimes they would be patrolling and you would have to call the posted number so they would come back and let you in. We were willing to pay the roaming charges, but it's a bit of an inconvenience. The en suite baths for each of the 6 rooms were essential for family harmony and the kitchen and great room were perfect for meals and gathering. Housekeeping was adequate though understaffed at times, perhaps because of the peak season. Furnishings were comfortable, particularly the beds. We really appreciated the management company making sure there was a pack-and-play for our infant traveller as well as a high chair. The kitchen was well equipped (North-American calibre appliances), though a few good knives would have been appreciated - hacking through a pineapple with a paring knife masquerading as a butter knife was frustrating. There were three coffee-makers but no kettle to be found, but Tim, the owner of the property mgmt co., promptly arrived with one, along with 3 blow dryers because there weren't any. The one glitch in our stay was a problem with the water supply on New Years day. At about 10am, the water supply suddenly just stopped. Calls to the concierge went unanswered and our calls and emails to Tim were not received due to an overloaded mobile system. Late in the afternoon, I was finally able to reach Tim on his cell and he rectified the problem promptly and knowledgeably. Overall, we would not hesitate to rent this property again.

Holland, MIA beautiful house with an excellent view!!
Left on 03/05/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This house was awesome!! The views were better in person than on the internet. Rooms were big with private baths (bedroom off kitchen was a little small). The pool was great, the house is close to Playa De Hermosa, which is a nice little town. Could see howler monkeys from the pool. Hidden gem is the sunsets from the upper baloney. The house is taller than all others in the area, makes for exceptional views. A must stay!!

MinneapolisAmazing Costa Rican Vacation
Left on 01/12/2011 for a stay in December 2010
I have nothing but the very best comments regarding our vacation in Costa Rica. The house, casita, and grounds were spectacular- the photos really don't do it justice. The million dollar view is amazing! Everything that was arranged for us by Guss, the concierge, such as a cook (Rocio) and tours (Tico Tours/ Bernal Mata) made the vacation that much better. Our extended family traveled to celebrate the holidays, and I was a bit nervous as I planned the trip using only information on the internet. I was thrilled at the results and so were all my family members! I have already recommended this house to two groups of friends. We look forward to travelling to Costa Rica again and will again use the services of Beachfront Properties.

The Woodlands, TexasBeautiful Home with Beautiful Views
Left on 12/09/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We traveled with our grown children (in their 20's) and another famiy. Casa Cox & Casita Cox was the perfect place for everyone. The home is beautiful, security it top notch, and the service was so good I did not want to leave. The pictures on the website do not even begin to show how beautiful this location is.
We were close to beaches and to downtown Coco -- what a great place at night. It was also very relaxing to just sit around the infinity pool (we had 2 of them) and just kick back and grill on the patio.
ur last night they cooked a dinner for us in the house. The woman that cooked it worked on it for probably 6 hours. It was great.
The people that run the property managment there were on call 24/7 to help with any problem or question. This place is a much better value than any hotel you will find there -- and if you rent the 2 villas, you have toom for 10 people to be very comfortable.
The only mistake we made was to fly into San Jose airport -- if you are coming here I strongly recomment you use Liberia - it is only 15 minutes from the property.
This is a great place with great people -

Echallens, SwitzerlandAbsolutely perfect dream vacation!!!

We would like to say thank you to all of the Beachfront team!!! They were all so incredibly helpful, from the organization of our trip to the reception and all of the help once we were there!
Casa Cox has to be one of the most exquisite homes we have stayed in. Its location is perfect. Just a 5 minute drive to the beach or 10 minutes to Playa del Coco for grocery shopping.
The house was immaculate and even more impressive then the photos we saw. Incredibly spacious, with its vaulted ceilings and huge windows, the view from Casa Cox has to be one of the finest in Playa Hermosa! It had everything we needed inside and out, from the kitchen appliances and utensils to the iPod station. The only drawback with Casa Cox was that the beds weren’t very big, but that just made for cozier sleeping.
The maid, who came every day to clean, was really nice. She gave us lots of info on Costa Rican culture and life style. We had maid service every day. Only once did the electricity go out during our stay, but Gus, our concierge, let us know plenty ahead of time so we could plan our day around it. Any questions we had, Gus was more than pleased to answer and help us out.
Our fondest memories will be sitting in the infinity pool every evening after a long, hard day at the beach. A perfect way to watch the sun set. And we are already planning our next trip to Costa Rica!!

Buffalo, New YorkWish we were still there!

We had a wonderful week at Casa and Casita Cox! There were 12 of us and every day was better than the one before!! 4 of us stayed in the quaint and charming casita and 8 of us stayed in the main house. The main house is suited for 8 people (4 bedrooms); however, just be aware that one of the bedrooms is not as luxurious as the other 3 bedrooms. The house was absolutely gorgeous though, the view was like no other, and the pool was our favoite place to take in the sun, fun, and watch the monkeys play in the trees below us. (we wish there were more lounge chairs around the pool though, as it was a mad dash every morning to claim your seat). The girls that came everyday to help out with the cleaning and laundry, etc. were wonderful too and all they were all smiles all the time! The location was perfect for us. Only a short drive to the hustle and bustle of Playa del Coco where they have great shopping, restaurants, and a great supermarket, and an even shorter ride to beautiful Playa Hermosa right at the bottom of the mountain. We cooked at the house almost every night and that was great! It felt just like home. The Arenal Volcano tour is a must and we highly recommend contacting Bernal at Tico Tours. A great value with lunch, dinner, hot springs, zip lines, transportation, and a visit to the hot springs! We had fun times on the water slides and a few too many drinks at the wet-bar! We got to see the "entire" volcano too before the clouds rolled in! Stunning and beautiful!! The other tour we booked was a snorkeling tour and really was a big big dud -- all I'll say is BEWARE OF TAHINI TOURS and Captain Joe!! Don't do it! Find another snorkeling excursion if snorkeling is your thing. He practices "bad business".
I'm planning on returning to Costa Rica one day again and would definitely use Beachfront Properties. Jeff Grayson was a pleasure to work with -- honest and followed up! Thanks for the great memories!!! Pura Vida!!
