Let me say first off, I have rented from Milagro for the past 4 or 5 years and have always stayed/rented in Playa Hermosa because I love it there.
I was reluctant to go anywhere else but thought a change would be interesting in Playa Ocotal as I had never been there...it was! I was told by Jennifer that Villa Familia would be very secluded/ quiet (that is what I like). She delivered...this was the most incredible home I have rented yet. Spacious and well appointed to say the least, but, the view of the ocean was really out of this world...every single day...for a month...nice!!!
The house is situated high on the side of the hills in Ocotal...quite high in fact. Views of the volcanoes to the right...views of the ocean in front and to the left. Nice way to start your day on the deck, with a coffee, listening to the parrots chattering. I referred to the view as a post card from heaven...kinda sappy...but true!
The town is rustic and you certainly know you have left your own home and have found a place out of the ordinary.
The people I met in town were wonderful. Always helpful. Driving a car through Ocotal is like an obstacle course of people on bikes and on foot, and crazy/funny dogs that have the obvious right of way on the roads (...as they should...we always had a great laugh at this and had to take more than one picture.
My family and I missed the peace and quiet of Ocotal and the view, the day we left...absolutely beautiful!

All of our requests were answered professionally and we would rate the service on a scale of 1 - 10 at an 8. Had it not been for a disappointing fishing excursion where we felt the guide and boat driver were taking advantage, our rating would have been a 10.

The property has great views in a private setting. The beach at Ocotal was never crowded. I was surprised to find good quality shopping only 5 min. away. The grocerey stores were great.
Milagro Management was always there to answer any question we had and helped us with all of our stay while there. -

Cambridge MAGreat place for exploring Guanacaste

Villa Familia was a great place to stay in Guanacaste with a fantastic view, a nice balcony, infinity pool, large bedrooms (all with private baths), and a nice large kitchen. Nearby Playa Ocotal is a great place to swim and enjoy the beach. Larger Playa de Coco is also close by with more bars/restaurants. We also found the location convenient for excursions to other beaches and tours. Overall I highly recommend Villa Familia as a place to stay in Costa Rica.
