We stayed at Villa Del Mar which is absolutely beautiful and comfortable! The view is exceptional. But what is "home" without a wonderful staff? Julia and Gerard took absolutely wonderful care of all of us!! The food and service was unbeatable. It was always so nice to see those smiling faces greet us in the morning and tend to us all day. For a bunch of independent old broads, we sure became needy for a week!! Antonia and the rest of the staff were also very good, taking care of our clothes and sleeping quarters. This trip rates in my favorite top 2!! can't wait to repeat it!! mk

The villa was beautiful and perfect. It was huge but offered tons of privacy by the layout. The view was stunning! Quick access to town and beach. But the staff...they made the entire vacation. Wonderful people! The food was delicious..julia is great...i highly recommend villa del mar to anyone! I cant wait to go back:)

My family and I, consisting of me, my husband (40's), our 3 daughters, 18, 10 and 9 and my mom (60's) recently returned from our amazing trip to Villa de la Luna. It was absolutely perfect in every way. The villa was gorgeous, with 5 beautiful bedrooms, each with its own full bath and plenty of closet space. The woodwork, tiles, windows were stunning. The kids spent at least 12 hrs. per day in the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the bay. I have traveled fairly extensively and the view is perhaps one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The food was beyond delicious! Lobster, steak, shrimp, veggie dishes for me, drinks made for us all day and served by the pool by the amazing Douglas, meals that were culinary delights made by the sweet chef- my mom is a picky eater but raved about the food- highest compliment possible!!! Mackenzie and Kojack made sure all excursions were planned and booked for us- everything from snorkeling trips, whitewater rafting, zip-lining, horseback riding, even trips into town at night to dance and visit the casino- all taken care of for us- including transportation. The owners of the villa were super accomodating and always available for the multitude of questions and concerns I had! We loved the trip so much that our family has expressed interest in booking an extended family trip in the near future. If you are even considering going, my advice would be to just Gooo! Most amazing experience ever!!!

Villa del Mar and it's staff are truly in a class of their own. The breathtaking view never gets old whether it is beautiful sunshine or thunderstorms. I still dream of standing at the edge of the infinity pool staring at the ocean. I also cannot say enough about the staff. Douglas and Kojack made sure that all our needs were met-from towels, to papaya daquiris, to once-in-a-liftime excursions. The food served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was out of this world. Fresh fruit for breakfast, eggs any way you want them, the best chicken quesadillas/tacos for lunch that we all were asking how to make them, and then fresh fish for dinner. Where else is "Catch of the day" that literal? The home itself is beautiful - each bedroom has a perfect view of oceanside Costa Rica and is how you imagine you would want to spend your mornings waking up. I can't wait to go back - it was just perfect.

First off I want to say the service and staff were absolutely amazing. We were greeted at the airport by our guide who was ready to take us to this fantastic villa. When we arrived, we were welcomed with margaritas and a breathtaking view of the ocean. The property itself was perfect. The infinite pool, the amazing views from the rooms, the large living space, Wifi, and of course the staff who made this trip truely amazing. I honeslty do not have one bad thing to say about this villa and my stay in Costa Rica. The villa is conveniently located minutes away from the small town of Playa de Coco and our guide was more than happy to show us around. Great town with a fun nightlife and nice shops. Our guide was super knowledgable and knew everything that was happening in the town. The escursions that our guide arranged for us where also unbelievable. From zip lining, horseback riding, mud baths, sailing, snorkling, and private beach picnics. I would definitely recommend this Villa to anyone visiting this part of Cosat Rica. You will not be dissapointed! Pura Vida!

I just arrived home from a 7 day spectacular vacation at Villa De Mar. We were greeted upon arrival with margaritas and a wonderful lunch on the pool deck . . . accompanied by a gracious and helpful staff ready to accommodate your every need!! I had a huge air conditioned master suit with private bath and shower, with inviting outdoor balcony overlooking the breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. I enjoyed many sunsets reading my book, relaxing in the custom made rocking chairs. Long days spent lounging in the infinite edge pool while sipping tropical drinks . . . Villa De Mar is just the place to go to find rest and relaxation. If you have to stay connected they do have wireless internet that worked great with my Ipad. Endless amount of activities from fishing, diving, ziplining, horseback riding and a dip in the hot springs!

This was my first time in Costa Rica and definitely not my last! Although we were there for the "rainy season" I would not let that deter youWe had an awesome time and our staff was amazing. Douglas took great care of us and the cooks and housekeepers were wonderful. Our guide, Kojak, took us on fabulous excursions to zip lines, mud baths and secluded beaches. Could not have asked for a more fun guide that made us feel at home!
The house was very spacious and was more than enough room for the 8 people that stayed there. The house stayed very clean and every need was met by the staff. I would recommend this trip to anyone. Thanks for the amazing vacation!

The accomomdations were better than advertised. The staff from Francisco to Kojack and the cooks, maids and bartenders were wonderful. Our group consisting of 6 couples rented both Villa's and it worked out great that we could have some alone time but also have sunset dinners together as a group. The daily walks thru the bayside developments was very challanging but worth the exercise in that we saw all sorts of animal life from exotic birds to monkeys. We took a zip-line excurion which was fantastic and I would go back just for that. The women went into Coco Beach for shopping and had fun bartering with the locals. All-in-all we are going to book another trip for next year.

Everything was great! Kojak met us at the airport, as arranged, and on the way to the villa he informed us of the many excursions he and his crew could take us on. We did take him up on two days of tours, one was to Tamarindo beach, which was a great beach for surfing, some of our group took surfing lessons and had a lot of fun. The other tour was to see the monkeys, birds and crocodiles, plus a lovely lunch. Would recommend both of the tours.
The villa was perfect, the View, the meals, the drinks, the cleanliness, beautiful bedrooms and washrooms, the pool deck and especially the staff were excellent. Nice beach and bar a walk away, except for the steep hill coming back.
We then used Kojak to drive us to the next hotel and then he came and picked us up to take us to the airport. What great service, at reasonable prices. No need to rent a car!
We will be back! -

Our vacation stay was perfect. We had the most amazing time thanks to the wonderful staff. They took such great care of us. The food was wonderful, there was not one thing that we didn't love, especially the fresh fruit we had every morning at breakfast. Kojak and Makinsie were wonderful tour guides and took us to all the best spots. We rode horses in the mountains, zip lined, took mudd baths, fished, had massages on the balcony of the villa with the sound of the ocean in the back ground, and shopped. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. It by far exceeded our expectations. We can't wait togo back!

What a perfect vacation! We are already planning our next trip! From the time that we arrived in Costa Rica, everything was amazing. The house was absolutely perfect with more than enough space for our group. The views from the patio are impressive. The pool was fantastic and the beach below was lovely.
Everyone created a stress-free, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable vacation for us. Antonia, Gerald, and Julia made our stay at the Villa de la Luna wonderful. Julia cooked excellent meals with fresh fruits, vegetables, and fish. Gerald kept us well-hydrated. His piña coladas were fantastic! He also helped with any questions that we had or assistance that we needed. He was very attentive. Antonia maintained an immaculate house which was not an easy task with seven people.
Beyond the amazing house and staff, our outings were great! Kojakc and MacKenzi were both a lot of fun and made our excursions a blast. I can't imagine a better team to show us the best of Costa Rica! It was a pleasure to meet everyone and spend a week with them. We were definitely sad to leave them but anticipate seeing them again very soon!
Overall, I think this vacation experience can be anything to anyone. It can be extremely relaxing or it can be a non-stop and action-packed trip. It is all available to you for you to create the vacation experience that you want.

First of all I was picked up by both trips by Bill and Kojak, the manager. On my first trip I was kind of shocked when we got in Ocotel, like out of a painting. Up the winding road to the villas was a trip to paradise. You walk in and the Pacific is right outside, on the other side of the infinity pool. The staff welcomed us, and were excellent and fun...The food was served by the staff and was gormet. All inclusive. Hey, another glass of wine please... It was the ultimate escape. More to do than you can imagine.
On the second trip, I was greeted by a TV team filming a commercial for the Costa Rica tourisim agency. Wow. Anyway did everything I could fit. Let me tell you, for the money, there is no better deal for the food service and beauty this Huge vill offers. If your drawers are dirty, snap, 30 minutes later they are cleaned and folded on your bed. When you leave you feel like you are leaving old friends. Highly reccommend it. -

My wife and I honeymooned at the villa and the entire experience, including the staff,the accommodations,the food, the service, everything, was nothing short of extraordinary. We surfed, caught rooster fish, zip lined, rode horses, took the river boat tour, fed monkeys & crocodiles, you name it, we did it, and at the end of every day we returned to a first class place to stay with the most friendly staff in the world. We would go back tomorrow if we could. This was by far the best vacation experience I've ever had. Thanks!!!

The vacation was wonderful but what made it the best vacation is the staff. Abraham and Julia truly made this vacation one of the best if not the best we have ever had. The service was great. Food was great. The home is beautiful. The weather was great. Janet did a wonderful job taking care of our laundry and we had an infant so there was plenty of laundry. It was relaxing. Again, what made this trip the best was the staff. We hope to stay there again in the fall and I would want abraham, Julia and Janet to be there to make our experience another great vacation!

Upon arriving at the airport we were greeted by Kojak - our tour guide for the week who knows everything and everybody in the area. He made it real easy to get around and communicate with the locals. A short ride later we were at the Villa and greeted by abraham (who I unoficially adopted as my new son), Dona Julia and Lina - all of whom I can't wait to get back down and see. Their service is non-stop and will stack up to any Five Star property we've ever been to.
Food and drink are far too plentiful - when mixed with poolside massages and in house marichi bands you will think you have died and gone to heaven.
Loved it and can't wait to return to enjoy another margarita by the pool and watch the sunset over the Costa Rican Bay... -

Overall the place was great. The views are incredible and the staff very accomodating. One issue was the fact we only had hot water in one shower the whole trip and it was 9 guys on a bachelor party. The food and beverage was great and Kojak was awesome. Had a blast.

Traveling to Costa Rica made for one of the best vacations I've ever been on! This gorgeous villa we stayed at made it even better! The views don't get much better than right here. Set on the side of a hill, you get it all! And an infiniti pool, too! It's incredible!
The villa itself was so nice and spacious. Rooms were great! Nice area for outside dining as well!
The staff that runs this place is amazing. Some of the nicer people I've ever been around who truly do everything they can to make your experience that much more enjoyable!
I have not one bad thing to say about my stay here! Highly recommended and I will definitely be going back!!! -

Everything about the Don Bill Villa was great. It's located on the edge of a slope overlooking the ocean. The vila was very nice on the inside with five bedrooms that open up to a back patio. On the patio, there was music, booze, and an infinity pool; plenty of places to lounge with amazing views. There was a cook and house keeper that were very enjoyable to be around and also took very good care of us. The food was amazing, cultural food with fresh juices served for each meal. The location of the vila is also very nice. There is a strip of bars, restaurants, and a casino just a few miles away. There is also a strip of local shops nearby. You can walk down to the beach where you can catch a charter fishing trip and also eat at a restaurant. Away from the vila there are many other attractions. Transportation was provided everywhere, so that was no issue. There's a surf beach located a few hours away. There, we rented surf boards and shopped at the many stores along the mile long strip. In another direction, there are several mountain resorts where you can ride horses, take a zipline canopy tour, bathe in mud, relax in a natural sauna, and swim in a pool; all of this in one day. We made a four day stay at the vila and certainly could have stayed longer.

My vacation at the Villas was one of the most relaxing, yet eventful vacations i have ever had. The service at the villas was excellent and the staff were great. Words nor pictures can't describe the views when you wake up in the mornings. The staff gave you a list of trips to take to see Costa Rica. The trips were affordable as well. We did everything from deep sea fishing to zip lining through rainforest. We also got in room massages to end the trip.

The service was top notch. The location is amazing. You can't beat the views of the ocean and the sunset. I really enjoyed the infinity pool...it looked as if it ran right into the ocean. The food was amazing...every night it was a different and delicious dish - there wasn't a thing that I did not like. The rooms are very large and spacious. Each one opens up to either a large balcony or the patio. The patio space was large and we spent most all of our time there...it felt like an extension of the house, like a large living room.
The views are amazing and the beach is just a short walk down the hill. I would definitely go back, and would recommend this to friends.
