We were looking for peace and tranquility; of course all you can have with a 3 years old girl!
We found it at Cielo Rosa. Amazing place.
All the appliances and facilities are there for you, comfortable house, security, nice garden and views.
The pool was great for my girl and the sun sets every single day were breathtaking.
Nearby you have restaurants and at Playa del Coco, supermarket. pharmacy and all you might need.
I would recommend:
Hire some help for cleaning in advanced
Make sure you get the full knowledge of the house and how everything works with the managers when you arrive.
International phones (at least ours) did not work there; but internet connection is OK. Take this in account (just in case)
You will be visited by a neighbor dog "Sam" which is friendly. If you do not like dogs you will have a problem, because he can get in and out easily.
Finally, be careful leaving thing outside because my husband`s crocs were missing!Response from Anita and Dean Lanford - 02/13/2013

I was a little concerned about sending the postal money order to pay for our rental a month before our trip to Costa Rica. But Dean and anita proved completely trustworthy, so if you're worried, don't be. I can honestly say that the photos do not do the villa justice. The place is spectacular. The view from the pool/deck area is astounding. We had activities planned every day, but we didn't want to leave the villa!! The two women managing the property for the Lanfords are terrific... I can't think of a single negative thing to say - it was the highlight of our trip!!

Hello Todd,
We're extremely glad your trip was everything you had hoped for. A family reunion is always a time to remember, no matter where you are. Although, Costa Rica is not a shabby place for a family gathering.......
Again, thank you and keep in touch.
All the Best,

The best for us in Costa Rica
Left on 11/11/2010 for a stay in February 2010
I believe we have stayed three times now and anticipate our fourth in February. Absolutely love staying at Villa Cielo Rosa. It keeps us from spending our time traveling the country looking for lodging as we have done on five of our eight visits to Costa Rica. Dean and anita have created an ideal spot for rest and relaxation. Wonderful, perfect place for us to unwind. Having our own swimming pool is ideal. We look forward to visiting our favorite restaurants in the valley and walking the beaches. For photographers, the area is perfect.

Second honeymoon
Prattville, ALThis vacation saved our marriage
Left on 04/08/2010 for a stay in March 2010
My wife and I were having problems with our marriage. The excitement was gone and the love seemed to be fading. We're both in our 2nd marriage and have 5 kids between us. Our regular routine revolves around our kids. After agreeing that we needed to get away for some time alone, we had heard that Costa Rica was like a Central American Hawaii, so we decided to go there.
We didn't want to stay in a crowded hotel, as we wanted to spend some time alone. Some friends told us about a romantic place where they had stayed and put us in touch with the Lanfords. I contacted Dean and he sent us information/pictures for Villa Cielo Rosa (VCR). After confirming our intent, we flew down to Liberia and when we arrived at VCR, we found everything to be exactly as we had been told. This vacation home was incredible. It had everything we needed and then some. The view of the Pacific was breathtaking, the landscaping was like a tropical garden, the pool was awesome, complete with a tiki hut and inside, the furnishings had all the comforts of home. The kitchen was well stocked, but I didn't want to burden my wife with cooking, so we had the majority of our meals at several of the cozy little restaurants in town (Playa Hermosa).
Pictures don't fully provide what this vacation home truly offers. The sunsets looking out over the Pacific from atop this mountain ridge were nothing short of spectacular. We spent quite a bit of time relaxing poolside, listening to the tropical birds singing. We also went on a guided fishing trip and in addition to both of us catching our first sailfish and roosterfish, we caught a lot of tuna and dorado. We even experienced an incredible sight with thousands of dolphin swimming around our boat while we were fishing.
This vacation provided everything that we had hoped for and more. I can truly say that our accommodations and the overall experience provided the opportunity to put a spark back in our marriage. We definitely recommend Villa Cielo Rosa. -

In February, 2010 five of us visited Costa Rica for the very first time. We did some research as to what area we wanted to stay however we had never rented a villa before. What a delightful place we found in Villa Cielo Rosa. We certainly hit the jackpot. The villa is absolutely wonderful, with its very own pool and a spectacular view of the ocean and gorgeous sunsets night after night. The villa itself is well equipped with all the amenities necessary and then some. The beds are comfortable and the BBQ/outside sitting area are great - we ate all our meals outside (we were only inside to shower and sleep). The weather was great the entire two weeks of our stay - HOT and SUNNY. We did various tours (e.g. ziplining, deep sea fishing, water tubing, thermal baths, mud baths, etc.). There is no lack of activities in the area however you do need to rent a vehicle to get around. Anita and Dean were very forthcoming with whatever questions we had for them and provided us a list of DOs and DON'Ts before we arrived and also a list of restaurants, etc. All the information they provided to us was greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend this villa, we were made to feel very welcome and actually would have easily stayed another two weeks. We are very grateful to Dean and Anita for sharing their villa with us.

Grapevine, TexasViva Cielo Rosa!

We wanted to plan a great trip for our family, but stumbled on a trip of a lifetime. The pictures do not do this home justice. The accommodations are 5 star. As many adventurous things that we did on this trip, the best memories were in the back yard taking in the indescribeable views from the patio and pool. Upon arriving we went to the Realtor for the key. It was there we met Bernal. He made our vacation first class, from Caneoing down rapids to zip lining down volcanoes, to planning the perfect birthday party for our twins. You cannot go wrong with this spectacular home.

What a beautiful place! We truly enjoyed the house and what a view!! The home was beautifully furnished and still very comfortable. I could have spent every minute of everyday sitting at the pool and looking out over the ocean and been happy BUT there was so much more to do nearby. We loved the beach, the snorkeling, the wildlife and most of all the trip to see Mount Arenal. We saw the live volcano erupting at night and did the Canopy Tour in the day. What a blast! Lots of howler monkeys and exotic birds and gorgeous waterfalls in the park too. We also enjoyed going into town and eating at some of the local restuarants. Great seafood! Nice people and interesting shops. If you've never been to Costa Rica you can't beat Villa Cielo Rosa's sunsets and atmosphere take my word for it!
