The villa is a fully furnished and equipped 5-bedroom, 4.5 bath luxury vacation home which boasts mahogany doors and cabinetry, granite countertops, ceramic tile throughout, a chef’s gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, an infinity oceanside pool all located in the heart of the Riviera Maya will make you never want to leave….

The Villa is located along the coast of the Caribbean Sea in the heart of the Mayan Riviera on the beautiful beach of “Playa Paraiso” in a gated community between the Mayan Palace and Iberostar resorts. The Villa is just 25 minutes south of the Cancun International Airport, a quick 5 minute drive to Puerto Morelos and a 10-15 minute drive to Playa del Carmen in a quaint resort-type residential neighborhood in Playa Paraiso, which boasts one of the most beautiful beaches of the world.

You will enjoy the tranquility and relaxation you’ll experience in Playa Paraiso, but if you’re looking for activities, there is plenty to do in the area. Playa del Carmen and Cancun both offer many opportunities for dining, shopping, and nightlife.

  The good: The home and beach it sits on is nice. Water is crystal blue and sand is clean and soft. Staff is friendly and helpful and kept things running smoothly. Private chef for the neighborhood is awesome!
  The bad: The house sleeps 10 but the family room and dining room are only set up for 6-8 max. We could never all have a meal together at the table or watch tv/movies together as a family. Same with lounge chairs around the pool. Not enough. It is not on a private beach so you will get many people either walking by or parking themselves right in front of your house. The pool was frigid (in april) and not heated and it is all 4 ft deep so not great for small kids. The neighborhood, although gated and secure is under major construction so most plots are being built and in rough condition. Except for a few high end villas, most are in need of repair or finishing. The area is isolated, not much near it except the Iberostar resort which we day passed for a day and it was really just okay. Food was horrendous. No matter what you read, Puerto Morales is 20 minutes away and Playa del Carmen is 45 minutes away. Cancun is about 30 mins away.
  Recommendation:
  If you are looking for a 4 star property then you won't be disappointed. We were looking for a 5 star so we weren't entirely happy. If you want to stay in most of the day and enjoy the beach and just head out for dinner here and there then this is a good spot. If you want to do a lot of excursions, shopping, dining out, then be prepared to drive alot. Book for 6-8 adults and you will be comfortable. 10 was too many for this home.

  The home was lovely and the proximity to the beach was great. However, the pool was ice cold, home's common areas were too small for 10 guests and the neighborhood was not as nice as we had hoped for. Generally good security but under major construction all around. Also, proximity to dining and shopping was at least a 20 min drive and larger towns were 40 mins away.   Our stay at Villa Carolina was Great! We all had an amazing time and the People were very nice and were always there if you needed them. Everything from booking to coming bake home went smoothly. The housekeeper was there every day and kept our place spotless. The property manager was always there and helped us with everything including grocery shopping and getting us to-go food at local restaurants.We will probably do this again. - Gerald K., New Hampshire, USA

  I could not have been more thrilled with the villa and the staff at Luxury Retreats and staff on the ground. Frederick and Jennifer were prompt to answer any questions are were very personable. Jorge the property manager went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Jorge was ALWAYS one call away and never disappointed! He introduced us to a friend who cooked a beautiful dinner which included wine service, he found us a great deal to go snorkling and he came over at 10pm to fix our wifi. The cleaning service was the cherry on top, she did a great job cleaning, arranging our stuff and even re-filled the fridge with our beer! I was so impressed with the overall service, I have and will recommend Luxury Retreats to all my friend and family. - Kristy J., ,
