Left on 05/23/2013 for a stay in April 2013

Freeport, Maine, United StatesWhat an amazing vacation, and an amazing house!
Left on 05/14/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We came down and stayed at Casa Blanca during my kid's april vacation. We have three teenagers and my husband and myself. One of the owners of the house was there and waiting for us when we arrived, and was able to help us navigate the town. That was most helpful! The rooms were extremely comfortable, with a fully applianced kitchen so that we made many meals at home. Each day we were able to drive to a different beach. Long beaches with hardly another soul! Great restaurant recommendations as well. One of the best things about the house was the pool. The kids just loved it! A great way to cool off! We also appreciated the washer and dryer that we used. Made packing so much easier. Highly recommend and would go back in an instant!

MaineA relaxing getaway!
Left on 05/01/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Blanca in Playa Portrero in april of 2013. The house is well equipped and very clean and has a full kitchen for those who like to cook while on vacation. The pool in the backyard is perfect for a quick cool off or for a relaxing swim. The house is close to many amazing beaches where you can swim, surf, or just relax. We found everything we needed right in the area as well, including a fantastic fruit and veg stand just down the road from the house where they sold great produce for not much! Other staples are easily found at the local Super in Flamingo. The property management company was also fantastic with anything we needed and they are a great resource for information about local restaurants and whatever else you're looking for. We definitely recommend Casa Blanca for a Costa Rica adventure!

Wow, what a great trip and place to stay!! The house was clean, comfortable, well stocked and nice big bathroom. It even had WiFi for those who want to check in to reality. However, you really should just sit back and relax and enjoy this amazing location. We were a five minute drive to spectacular beaches, local restaurants and markets. Ah, the beaches, miles of beaches, and hardly a sole on them. The food has great, fresh fish, fresh fruits and local flavor. It was awesome to come back from dinner and take a dip in the pool before bed. Thanks for sharing your house. I will definitely come back!!

Left on 03/10/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Casa Blanca is an extremely well-equipped home in a very convenient location. Having the swimming pool available is perfect for relaxing around the house, but there are many adventurous activities very close at hand! The beaches are beautiful and quiet and there are so many within a very short drive. The local cuisine is amazing...so fresh, unique and satisfying! Having a car is helpful to take advantage of seeing more of the area during day trips or overnights. The arenal Volcano area is a must see!

We had a wholesome and adventurous experience in Costa Rica, while staying at Casa Blanca. The community was very special, the food markets have fresh food, and the beaches were luxurious. Day trips to volcanic national parks were amazing!

Bristol, MaineCasa Blanca is Pura Vida!
Left on 07/07/2011 for a stay in May 2011
I spent a week at Casa Blanca with my two daughters, ages 19 and 21, and it was the best vacation ever! We all loved the house and the peaceful location. There were a lot of animal noises (especially frogs) during the night, but that made it even more charming.
Potrero Beach was a 10-15 min. walk away and by far our favorite place. Since it was off-season we had the beach to ourselves and it was lovely. A great place for swimming!
All the locals were exceptionally friendly and the local restaurants were really good. The store had the essentials we needed, but I would recommend renting a car for a day and drive to a larger store and stock up.
The wireless internet was very spotty. We were told that's very common during the rainy season.
For young people wanting more action, they might get a little bored in Potrero, but my daughters absolutely loved it. They especially liked speaking Spanish with the locals. We did one excursion to Buena Vista for a day of horseback riding, hot spa and zip-lining(arranged through Lent Eckhart Properties) and that satisfied our need for adventure. We didn't do the arenal volcano excursion as my girls had already been there, but that is on my list for my next visit.
All in all, this was our dream vacation. A beautiful house, very few tourists, warm weather, swimming in the ocean, a pool to cool off in and lots of wildlife. I can't wait to go back! -

Pittsburgh, PACasa Blanca is the perfect place to experience Pura Vida in Play
Left on 05/19/2011 for a stay in March 2011
My wife and I have stayed at Casa Blanca three different times. Casa Blanca is located in the Surfside Estates plan in Playa Potrero. We love it! The house is on a quiet street within walking distance to several restaurants, markets, entertainment, and Playa Potrero. The home is fully furnished with a beautiful pool. The Guanacaste trees in the backyard are full of wildlife. We've sat poolside and watched many species or birds, monkey troops, iguanas, and the occasional wondering cow. The home is safe and secure, Surfside has it's own security staff that patrols the area at night.
The food in and around Potrero is phenomenal. Some of the best fruit, vegetables, seafood, and chicken can be found in any of the restaurants or markets (don't miss the farmer's market at La Perla's on Thursdays). My wife and I have cooked at Casa Blanca to save money and take advantage of the fine fresh food available at the local markets. The kitchen well stocked with plenty of counter space. The only thing missing is a microwave oven, but they aren't very common in Costa Rica and you tend to eat all that good food anyway.
Playa Potrero is a quiet beach. The beachfront is mostly 4 to 6 unit condominiums that don't overburden the landscape. LasBrisas, a local joint with out of this world food is on the north end of the beach, the South end is home to the Flamingo marina where most boats in the area moor and where you can find guides to take you snorkeling, diving, fishing, site-seeing, or surfing.
If you need anything while you stay in Potrero. check out Claudia's Bike and tour rentals in Flamingo. Claudia will make it happen and she's a sweet lady. -

GatineauGreat house - all the amenities
Left on 05/17/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We stayed at Casa Blanca with our two young children. The house is wonderful, with all the amenities one could ask for, and was well maintained and clean. The pool is a perfect depth for young children and adults and best of all the outside doors of the house can be locked with a key, for the security of young children around a pool!
The Potrero area is also great, with many different beaches to chose from and the owners of the house were welcoming and accomodating.
I would definitely stay again. -

South Portland MaineGreat stay, great time!
Left on 07/31/2010 for a stay in March 2006
I had a wonderful time in Playa Potrero. The house I stayed in had plenty of room and amenities (comfy beds, big bathroom, full kitchen and pool) to make me feel like I was home. Playa Potrero is low key but offers a lot. The beaches are great and uncrowded and there are plenty of little restaurants in the area as well.

MaineA little piece of paradise!
Left on 07/31/2010 for a stay in February 2010
Casa Blanca, is a wonderful 2 bedroom home with it's own swimming pool. A short 15 minute walk gets you to Playa Potrero with it's dark volcanic sands. This is a wonder home to rent, with very reasonable prices. The house is in the back of the neighborhood so there is no traffic noise. The people of the town are very friendly, we will definitely be returning.

Portland MaineRelaxing, refreshing, sun and fun.
Left on 07/28/2010 for a stay in March 2009
Our flight had to be changed (snow here)so we arrived later than planned-not a problem as the caretaker made sure we had beverages available when we got to the rental. Easy to find even in the dark. House had everything including a beautiful walk in ceramic tile shower. The rental fees split between 3 or 4 made this an embarrassingly great deal-house is big enough to not have to see each other if you have had too much togetherness traveling.Private clean pool right outside the sliders -we could have cooked meals/barbecued at the house (hey I was on vacation!)but liked the restaurant a few blocks away at the beach. House is in an island type setting where everyone's dog lays in the middle of the dirt roads-there was also a neighborhood outside cafe/bar that had live entertainment at night. Easy to do daytrips if you dont want to just bask in the sun at the beach the whole time and we did one overnight to the arenal Volcano Hotsprings-don't miss that or the chance to feel like you are flying on a zip line canope tour.
