Description

Set in a quiet residential area, a mere 500 m from Robberg beach, Bayside encompasses peace and tranquility while offering upmarket accommodation and friendly personalized service. Included in the room rates are scrumptious English and Continental breakfasts which are served in the dining room or patio overlooking a tranquil garden. There is a secluded salt-water pool, ideal for soaking up the sun, relaxing and listening to the twittering of the birds. There are barbecue facilities on the patio where guests often enjoy a sundowner while listening to the sounds of the waves on Robberg beach 5.

Each of our spacious, well-appointed suites have been individually styled and decorated.

"Finch Cottage" has a separate entrance, queen with en suite, lounge with divan couch, barbecue and self catering facilities.

"Harmony" has its own lounge with divan couch, dressing room and shower in the en suite.

"Honeysuckle" has a jacuzzi and shower in the en suite.

"Sunkissed" is a family suite with two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Our comfortable guest lounge with under-floor heating and fireplace is perfect for relaxing and browsing through books or brochures. The suites are individually decorated and all offer percale linen, dressing gowns, guest bathroom amenities (shower gel, hand wash, soap etc), tea/coffee making facilities, homemade cookies, snack baskets,complimentary sherry, fridges and beach towels/umbrellas/chairs. All rooms have mini safes and guests are provided with their own remote controls for the electric gate.We offer flat screen televisions with DStv, free WiFi, off street parking and a laundry service. There are fans and heaters/underfloor heating in all the rooms.

Most guests enjoy the half an hour walk along the beach to the Beacon isle resort or Central Beaches restaurants and then take a taxi back to the lodge afterwards.

We recommend a three night stay in order to enjoy the Robberg Nature reserve hikes (three levels of difficulty), beaches and wildlife sanctuaries located at The Crags half an hour's drive away. Storms River mouth, Natures Valley and Tsitsikamma are a popular day trip with all sorts of adventure activities on offer. There is also a Game Reserve for game drives and horse riding and plenty on offer when it comes to sea and river cruises. Plettenberg Bay has its own wine route with superb wines and restaurants to visit.

We live downstairs in the main house and are on hand for information and assistance. On check in guests receive maps, discount vouchers and lots of local information. Taxis, restaurant and activities can also be booked on request. We have a friendly dachund cross called Daisy.
