This charming turn-of-the-century home sits directly above Long Pond in Plymouth on six gorgeous acres of woods, rolling lawns and hundreds of feet of direct lake frontage.

A winding driveway leads you to the secluded home. The classic New England style house sleeps 10+ people, divided between the main house with four bedrooms and the adjacent guest cottage with two bedrooms. Winding steps lead down to a stone boathouse on the water’s edge and a swimming dock, which extends out into the clear waters of Long Pond.

The main house features a spacious, bright kitchen with all the amenities, along w...ith a washer and dryer just off the kitchen. Double doors lead from the wood-paneled living room to the light-filled dining room, where seating for 10 overlooks the lake and an enclosed porch offers space for relaxing. Outside the main house is a remarkably large deck, measuring over 800 square feet. Sit back and relax as you gaze across the lake and enjoy the cool evening breezes.

Upstairs you will find four bedrooms. Three of these rooms have full-sized beds suitable for two adults, while the fourth bedroom has a single bed, along with plenty of space for cribs, etc, in each of the three large rooms. There are two bathrooms on this floor, one with a shower, the other with a claw foot tub for soaking.

Next to the main house you will find the cozy guest cottage, complete with two bedrooms, each with a pair of single beds. In between is a bathroom with a toilet and cold-water sink. Behind the guest house are mowed lawns, a tire swing and hammock, and a former tennis court which provides a great area for outdoor fun – volleyball, croquet, and badminton.

Follow the trail through the woods down to the water’s edge and you will find a stone boathouse complete with canoes and kayaks. A dock extends out into the lake for swimming, sunbathing and boating. You will be amazed by the privacy as you enjoy the view across one of the largest lakes in southeastern Massachusetts. Boats with engines up to 50 horsepower are allowed on the lake which contain landlocked salmon, bass and trout.

If you are looking for entertainment, the house is less than two miles from the Pinehills Golf Course, with more than 54 holes of championship golf, shopping, cafes and art galleries. Another two miles down the road are some of the South Shore’s most beautiful ocean beaches, with sandy shores facing Cape Cod Bay.

A ten-minute ride from the home puts you in downtown Plymouth, with all the history and charm of America's Hometown. Visit Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower, or spend the day at Plimoth Plantation. You can hop on a charter fishing boat or a whale watch from Plymouth Harbor, or spend all day wandering the antique shops, bars and restaurants that line Plymouth Harbor.
