Villa Agnel is situated on top of a hill with a magnificent views all around over the Chianti hills, Castellina in Chianti and as far as Pistoia. San Gimignano can be seen from a higher point in the Olive groves. The extension of the land is 19 hectare and the production of wine, Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG is at the moment in a transformation because of the new investment of a bigger wine yard. The farm produces extra virgin olive oil and seasonal fruits. There is a farmhouse in the property where there is an \"agriturismo\" in an original and simple version. Villa Agnel has its first origin in 1700 and in the first part of 1800, the villa was... added with one new part and the next part in the middle of 1800. The villa's frescoes are painted in natural colors and the walls are painted in some beautiful salons. The owners has made some important restoration as the staircase in marble from Siena, the entrance with 4 columns on top of where there is a terrace. Other columns were placed in the living rooms and a coffered ceiling. On the facade pieces of sculptures in marble. The last restoration was made in 1980 by the present owner. Wonderful marble bathrooms, decorations made by artists in the bedrooms and places to use outside as well as the kitchen where there had been a stable. The park that includes the lovely swimming pool which measures about 4000 Sq.Mts. The pool is surrounded by a brick wall with lances in iron. There are two ponds with red fishes, water lilies and a fountain. Barbeque in the garden outside the kitchen with all necessary furniture to sit in the sunset with a glass of wine. The atmosphere is very private and secure and a large parking area is just outside the brickwall with access through a little iron gate. There are all modern utilities as laundry with washing machine, dryer, shower, well equipped kitchen and pantry (micro oven, sink with cold/hot water, large fridge with freezer, pots and pans). TV with CNN and BBC, DVD, CD player, stereo that can be heard in the living areas as well as in the kitchen, High speed wireless Internet connection and on request a cell-phone can be provided during their stay.
