Description from the owner
Perched on a hilltop above fields of vineyards and forests of regal cypress trees stands an ancient farmhouse dating to 1200 and built in the ochre stone so indicative of the Tuscan style. Here, in the very heart of the Chianti, the stress of everyday life recedes into mere memory, replaced by the gentle rush of olive branches swaying in the breeze and the heady perfume of wild flowers. Il Casale di Villore and its six newly renovated apartments invite you to live the Tuscan dream in this genteel country setting.

Additional Location Information
Centrally located near the cities of Florence and Siena. Villore is as lovely outside as it is inside. The vast garden surrounding the property leads to a large swimming pool built at the edge of a hilltop plateau and nearly hidden amongst olive trees. On the hillside below, six hectares of cultivated land make for lazy summer afternoons wandering the vineyards or savoring a ripe fig just picked from the tree. Relaxing at poolside, guests can sip a cool drink while taking in the breathtaking view of the valley and the distant outline of charming medieval villages on the horizon.

We were 2 married couples traveling through Italy by car. We wanted old, authentic, Tuscan feel and found it here. We cannot adequately describe the views, the lawns, the quietness and richness of this property. Why drive back to town to eat when groceries and wine from local stores, prepared here, and enjoyed alfresco was so much better. The rooms were immaculately cleaned, bright and airy. Antonio was always there to give recommendations and directions. It was wonderful to share a bottle of wine with the other guests, out on the lawn, and did I mention the views!!?? This hilltop location gave us sunrises and sunsets. Poggibonsi was close to a major highway and manageable by car to find anything we needed.

We had a wonderful week at Casale di Villore. The property is very beautiful and its location is perfect to visit Florence, Siena, and the Chianti region. The owners are very gentle and helpful. We look forward to be back.

My wife and I shared a wonderful villa at Casale di Villore with four of our friends. Villore is beautifully situated atop a hillside looking west towards San Gimignano, which can be seen off in the distance. You can see beautiful sunsets looking out over olive groves and the Tuscan valley. While Villore is out in the quiet countryside, it's still a reasonable car ride to many great places - Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, wineries on the Chianti trail and many other places. Antonio is very friendly and helpful and has many recommendations for memorable things to do. He'll make arrangements for you, if you'd like. The villas are incredible. Old world charm outside and very nicely appointed inside. Internet access is hit or miss; but otherwise everything thing is great. We highly recommend it.

We were recommended to Villore by a family who had stayed there and highly recommended it. They were especially happy with the hospitality. We were also a family of 15. The villa is beautiful and very clean. Enjoyed the pool and the serenity. We were very disappointed with the hospitality. Our flights were delayed because of bad weather which made us very late and were told that we would not be able to check in. Fortunatly, our travel guide interecepted for us. I just wish that we were shown a little warmth and appreciation.

I am really sorry for your review regards the hospitality. I used to give all of myself for all my guests. IL CASALE DI VILLORE is a private villa and there's no concierge 24/24 but I can assist the clients for all their needs. Yes, there is a check-in time 15:00-19:00 but, on request and in case of any emergency or late arrivals, I am always at disposal...also over 19:00 and during the night too....and that's the proof (TRIPADVISOR Reviews) :
"... Delightful service from Antonio who greeted us with a smile despite an unexpectedly delayed middle-of-the-night arrival. Would not hesitate to stay here again..." June, 28 - 2012
Anyway, I am sorry for the misunderstood and I really apologize for any inconvenience caused ...I really hope to host you again at Villore !!!
Antonio.

We loved this apartment and rural location.
Antonio was the perfect host making sure our every need was seen to. He replaced a light bulb instantly, and didn't fuss about a dent we made in the bath!!! He speaks perfect English and is a very helpful guide for the area.
The apartments are large and airy with stunning views. It was too cold to swim in april, but it wasn't too cold to sip wine and watch the sun go down behind St Gimignano!

We stayed at the property in June-July, 2011. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was beautifully done. Bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen large, the living spaces large enough for everyone. The grounds were beautiful. The pool was a welcome relief in the afternoon and well used by our children. We were also blessed with other delightful guests here.
Antonio, the host, was outstanding. He was like a personal concierge. He helped arrange anything we needed during our excursions thru Tuscany. I will definitely return.Response from Antonio Pagliai - 07/15/2011

We were hoping for a perfect Tuscany experience with our European holiday and we got it when we stayed for 11 nights here in Casale Di Villore with antonio as a perfect host.
The Villa was incredible and the location was amazing.
We were greeted on arrival by antonio, and he was very helpful during our stay when needed.
A hire car is a must, with so many beautiful towns to visit within 1hr drive away it was a great location to day trip from. (close to Sienna, Florence)
If your looking for a peaceful Villa in Tuscany at a reasonable cost, do yourself a favour and try this one.
Thanks antonio for a great stay.

We were both pleasantly surprised as we entered this Villa complex. It was more than we dreamed about. We were looking for a spacious dwelling at a good price and location. Our apartment was lovely.Simple and rustic furnishings -very much in the Tuscan style- all tastefully done. We were fortunate enough to share the complex that week with great people. Cocktails - poolside, perched high on this little mountain, looking at San Gimignano , lovely gardens, was a wonderful end to day of sightseeing. The owners were helpful as to where to go and what to do. My husband enjoyed walking in their vineyard and picking figs which were in season. A must is a car with GPS. Tuscany has many roads which are sometimes not easy to navigate. We were very close to Siena- a quick 20 minute drive. We highly recommend this villa!
