We found the accommodations pleasing and mostly to our expectations. Spacious, clean, and convenient to amenities such as ocean, pool, and tennis.
Positive suggestions re: our unit-patio door off living area difficult to manage. Needs work. Screen window adjacent not secured, needs replacing.Master bedroom had two different lights, bedside. I prefer the traditional light bulbs to the efficiency bulbs.
We were glad to not be overlooking parking lot. Next time we'd prefer more open location with sunlight and garden, pool, or ocean view. Noisy teens above us (swim team from Canada). Better if they were all in same bldg. with chaperone who was nearby, but different bldg. with more kids. -

3 for 3!!! Which is to say, this was our third trip to Kauai and our third time renting with Great Vacation Retreats and we are never disappointed. Regency Villas #214 was a fabulous condo with great amenities (A/C, washer/dryer, etc)...plus a great location!! (Centrally located between West and North Shore with easy access to Lihue and helicopter ride.) But, the real star (as always) was amy Grant and her team. From the initial contact, booking the condo, rental car and our activities...it was quintessential of our previous bookings/experiences with GVR!!! One stop shopping for all of our needs with excellent "Preferred Vendors". We're, already, looking forward to making it 4 for 4 and 5 for 5... Thanks (Mahalo) to amy and her entire team!!

This was not that old looking inside and out. There was a lot of condo building around that appeared to look older. The one issue is the pool, this unit is a bit far from the pool. With that said it is a place for walkers.
We chose this place as we had a elder couple with us and we didn't want many stairs.
The only reason I marked the cleanliness down was we found a dirty diaper in the closet by the kitchen. Other than that the place was very clean.
We liked the location as it was for walkers. They have walking paths to take you to the beach and to the neighbor hoods. There is so much to see and do on this island, we plan on returning in Feb. this is now my favorite island.
My favorite thing was walking down to the beach to see what was there, as the turtles and monk seals would come up and nap on the beach.

The photos of this place are gorgeous, but when you walk in to this villa it only gets that much better! It is absolutely stunning and so well kept. The Master Bathroom is enormous and was just such a special unexpected treat. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if/when we come back to Kauai!!! :-)

My daughter, granddaughter and I had a fantastic stay at Regency Villas. I love the tennis courts and walk to the ocean. The location is nice, quiet and beautifully green. It was fun being close to Poipu and Brennecke's beaches.

we had a verty lovely stay at Poipu KaI. Not an ocean view but close to the beach and a great condo. great for cooking in and seperate space for spouse/kids in our 2br unit.

We loved unit 214, well appointed, comfortable and clean.
Making the reservations was easy, we stayed late to catch a late flight and it worked out great. Close to beach.
We did a lot of cooking in the beautiful kitchen. My only gripe was the noise from the upstairs unit. Next time I would only stay on the 2nd floor. -

We could not have had a better experience. Amy and Celeste were wonderful to work with. We needed a few extras like a baby bed and an extra exercize room key and late check out. They were able to accomodate everything with cheer and ease. Highly recommend using GVR. We will, again.

The place had all of the basic necessities and was very clean and comfortable.
Nicely decorated and updated kitchens and bathrooms. The location was great
as the kids (15 year olds) could walk to the beaches, lunch spots, etc. The
condo has two lanais, one private off the master bedroom, a spacious dining
and living area, and plenty of room for four. The surrounding grounds are well
taken care of. If we return to Poipu, I would definitely look into renting this
same unit again. Working with Great Vacation rentals was also very easy and
they were very helpful in providing a lot of good information about the area.
