Regency at Poipu Kai is centrally located on Kauai`s beautiful South Shore in the heart of Poipu. This vacation haven is equidistant between the Grand Hyatt Kauai and Shipwreck Beach and the world famous Poipu Beach and Brennecke`s Beach. Less than ten minutes walking time will take you to either. The Regency at Poipu Kai is graced by a beautiful walkway called the greenbelt which provides you with walking paths throughout the Poipu Kai area, a 70-acre resort consisting of several unique condo developments, a residential area with homes, a large tennis facility (Poipu Kai Racquet Club), and garden paths connecting the areas of the resort. The Regency at Poipu Kai has access to two swimming pools, one fronting Building 6 and one five minutes away--both have hot tubs.

Imagine yourself walking to beautiful Poipu Beach, perfect for swimming, snorkeling or laying out in the sunshine. Poipu Beach also has a large grassy park with a children`s play area, showers, bathrooms, restaurants and shopping. Next door, you will find Brennecke`s Beach--Kauai`s premier body surfing and body boarding beach.

In the other direction, you will discover the beauty of Shipwreck Beach to watch the sunrise or climb the Mahaulepu Coastal Trail beginning just beyond the beach. This trail is a special part of the Kauai History Heritage site and the last stretch of accessible coastline on the South Shore that has not been developed. The trail leads to beautiful Mahaulepu Beach, a great place to spot whales in the winter or observe (from a distance) a monk seal napping on the beach.

Or, try wandering around the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa`s lush tropical gardens or indulge in a reviving treatment at the resort`s world-class Anara Spa. Poipu beach also has a large grassy park with children's play area, showers, bathrooms, restaurants and shopping. Next door you will find Brennecke's beach and Shipwreck beach great for boogie boarding or surfing. Keep your eyes peeled for turtles and Hawaiian monk seals!   We had a pleasant stay at Regency 824. The condo looks and feels like it's new or recently remodeled. We do a lot of cooking and the kitchen was great.
  
  My wife and I are both light sleepers and were very pleased and relieved with the master bed which was really comfortable.
  
  The location is ideal. You can walk to either shipwreck beach (where the Hyatt is) or poipu beach park. Both are a lovely walk through Poipu kai resort grounds. A highlight for us was walking on the coastal trail past shipwreck beach (4 hour hike). It's breathtaking scenery and leads to another beach.
  
  The pool around the corner from the condo was our favorite at Regency. It's more private and less busy and gets sun all day long.
  
  The trade winds blow straight into this condo and we never needed to turn on air conditioning. Being on the second floor we felt comfortable sleeping with Lanai doors open. However, when other units turn AC on it can be loud if you have your doors open because the AC fans are located on the ground below the condo.
