This unit is amazing. First and foremost, the location is outstanding. The view from the living room and the master bedroom are right onto the ocean, and in the winter, you will also see whales, turtles, and the sunset directly outside. You are a short walk to swimming beaches, and a short drive to numerous restaurants, stores, Starbucks, etc.
The unit itself is full of upgrades and conveniences. The kitchens and bathrooms are fully upgraded and gorgeous. Unit has awesome extras, like filtered water taps downstairs and upstairs in the master bath, in-unit washer and dryer, jetted spa tub in master bath, and fully stocked kitchen. You could spend weeks here and never miss home. The only thing they could do to make this unit any better would be to add air conditioning. There are fans throughout, but the afternoon/evening gets very warm (even in Dec/Jan) and it takes a while to cool down the unit to sleep comfortably. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this unit!
The staff and service at the complex were also great. Super nice folks in the office, and the housekeeping service did a great job. -

This was a delightful vacation for my mom & myself. Being right on the ocean front was so relaxing and a terrific place for my 93 yr. old mother to watch the world go by. Poipu Kapili #5 was comfortable, roomy enough to entertain family & friends. It had everything you could need in the kitchen and plenty of closet & drawer space in a spotlessly clean place. Made great use of the ice makers, in the fridge & at the bar. The fridge made ice faster and had a cold filtered water spigot inside. Quite a treat! Did some grilling & the Bbqs were a few steps from the front door, right in front of the tennis courts. Helped myself to the herb garden for my beans & rice. The property really looked lovely, everywhere you turned there was something blooming, smelled nice too sometimes. Thank you all for working so hard to make Poipu Kapili a beautiful, welcoming home while visiting the Garden Island of Kauai.

My Mom and I loved staying in Poipu Kapili #5 ocean front condo. At 93, Mom was happy to sit on the lanai and watch the ocean, the people, the birds & turtles. The spaciousness of the condo made it easy to entertain family & friends. We made good use of the BBQ grills and herb garden by the tennis courts, only a few steps from the front door. I enjoyed walking to the harbor and down to Sheraton beach to swim almost daily. The condo had everything one could need and then some. Made good use of the ice maker and brewed up sun tea on the lanai. Even baked a couple batches of cookies. The electronics could be a little daunting but once I played around with it, I was able to get the CD player and TV working just fine.
The location was great; made it easy to get around the island for site seeing. Only negative is road construction during "rush hour". Traffic just creeps along.
Kudos to the front office staff for making us feel at home. Housekeeping had the condo spotless and the grounds and gardens were gorgeous, blooms everywhere! Thank you for making the vacation that much more enjoyable. -

BoiseTropical Paradise Enhanced and Whale Watching Galore (In January

First time to Kauai and this lovely condo made the stay even better. Our favorite past time was watching whales breach from our patio all hours of the day and then watching the sunset every evening.* Spotless clean, completely equipped with everything you need for coming and going from beach visits and hikes. Can't say a bad word about the condo and the grounds themselves. *however, one thing that many people may want to know ahead of time is that while the bedroom and patio face the beautiful ocean and the sound of the ocean is lovely as background noise throughout, around 4:30 or 5:00 pm every evening cars would gather directly across road (between us and ocean) to watch the sunset. Many have their music blaring and they stay well until after the sun has set. We learned to embrace this very quickly and did not let it adversely affect our vacation but some people may want this info adhead of time and choose a different unit not ocean front (even though you pay for ocean front and the view is worth it). Also, the TV/DVD and cable channels were difficult to navigate even for my tech savy husband so if tv is important you may want to request help on that. We loved Condo 5 with these tiny annoyances which were easily overlooked with everything else for lovely about this unit.

Beautiful equipped, decorated and presented condo with all the amenities you could wish for on the doorstep either within the property, directly from the resort or within a 15 minute walk.
Falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing and waking to the sight of Whaels leaping. It just doesn't get much better than this. -

As always, Poipu Kapili offers the best place to stay in Poipu. The staff is friendly and helpful, the condos are well appointed, the pool and grounds are lovely and always groomed. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.
