Penthouse 407–Our Beautiful Penthouse condominium is the largest most elegant 2 bedroom unit Kuhio Shores has to offer. Come enjoy the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of Kauai in our recently remodeled and richly decorated, luxurious two bedroom two bath condo with over 1200 sq. ft. sleeps up to 6 guests. The ocean, mountain and coastline views are spectacular and the condominium is immaculate.
Soak up the morning sunrise on your own private lanai while watching the sea turtles feeding just below you. Small sandy beaches flank both sides of our complex allowing easy access to the best snorkeling and surfing in Poipu.

Don’t be misled by large “Oceanfront” resorts where your room is actually blocks from the water. This is the real thing: Hawaii’s Garden Island of Kauai at its best! Kuhio Shores is on it's own little peninsula surrounded by Blue Pacific Ocean, Surfers and Sea Turtles. "If it was any closer to the water, you’d need a boat". Directly out front of your lanai is Kauai’s premier surfing and snorkeling spots. Five additional beaches are located within walking distance, as are golf courses, tennis, restaurants, shopping and the spectacular Spouting Horn blow hole.

Did not realize there was a surf board rental shop right next to the restaurant. Great learning waves and wish we had known. Snorkeling right off the hotel. As you face the ocean the snorkeling is better on the right side. Lots of turtles. If you are arriving at night a little key light is helpful for entering combo to get the key.

My family and I stayed at Rick's amazing condo for 8 nights in January. The condo was comfortable and offered gorgeous ocean views. We woke up every morning and ate breakfast out on the lanai while watching the sunrise. Most mornings we are also greeted by turtles swimming below our lanai and whales migrating in the distance. The condo is in a perfect location. It's within walking distance to a few nice restaurants and Island boutiques and a short drive from several of Kauai's top attractions. You will feel like you're staying in a luxury hotel with all of the conveniences of home. Rick makes sure to provide beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, and a cooler so you don't have to worry about packing or purchasing anything extra. I would highly recommend this condo if you're looking for the perfect accommodations for your family trip

My husband and friends had to drag me out of your lovely condo on the morning of our departure. The view from your balcony cannot be described in words and it was our favorite aspect of the condo hands down. We literally were mesmerized every morning by the breath taking view. Second, we just loved being lulled to sleep and waking up to the sounds of the Pacific ocean. The deoor was perfect for Hawaii and extremely comfortable. Your kitchen was beautiful and wonderful to cook in. It sure beats snow and freezing temperatures. The location of your condo was really convenient to all of our needs and adventures. We never could decide if we preferred sitting on the balcony for sunset or walking over to the Beach House to enjoy the spectacular view. Heaven truly cannot be much better.

You always take some chances renting accommodation sight unseen. Especially, in a place as far away and remote as Kauai. Rest assured that a rental at Kuhio Shores, Unit 407 will go beyond your expectation. We arrived at the unit and were completely "blown away". Best views in Poipu/Kuhip. Ocean cove and coastal panorama. Trade winds blowing through the unit. Spotlessly clean. All the amenities. What an extraordinary place. Imagine running out to Kohalo... Going to one of the best fresh fish markets on the island... bringing back some fresh caught Mahi-Mahi to grill out in your island pad. This is what we did daily when we were there. What a blast. The owners were very gracious and made the process simple and turnkey. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone who really wants to pretend that they are a native Kauaiian. Btw... Tremendous value. You will not find like accommodation at these prices. As I type this I have great memories of sitting out on the Lanai. Frosty cocktail in hand. Watching the moonrise over the ocean with ukelele music softly wafting in the trade winds. I cannot wait to get back there and will book this unit again. Mahalo. Martin and Sheila

Our stay in Kauai with our family was absoultely fantastic. Just as Rick and Kathy said the view from the lanai is fantastic, not to mention seeing turtles every single day. We were up early every morning to watch the beautiful sunrise from the lanai and every evening we watched the sunset from the Beachouse Restaurant. The condo had everything a family of 6 could want. This was our familys first visit to Kauai and it will not be the last. We loved Kuhio Shores and will be back.

This condo is absolutely gorgeous and a fantastic place to stay on Kauai! We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The views were amazing and the location was perfect. The price was very comparable to hotel costs in the area, but without the hassle of crowded parking lots, hundreds of people coming and going, and an overcrowded hotel beach. One thing I really appreciated about the condo was that you could not hear a single noise from any of the surrounding neighbors. The condo was well built and made for the ultimate privacy. The owners, Rick and Kathy, are extremely helpful, quick to answer questions, and very honest and on top of things which made it an even better experience. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you Rick and Kathy for sharing your beautiful condo!

Ricks's place is top notch. Top of the line Tommy Bahama furniture and decorations. Everything you need is there. Great location and a fantastic view. My wife and I spent 8 days there for our 25th wedding anniversary and couldn't have been happier. We'll be back and reccomend his place to family and friends. Kuhio Shores is clean, secure and very well maintained. It's quiet and the staff very friendly and helpful. Great place to snorkle right out front and walking distance to good surf. A can't miss...

We stayed at Kuhio Shores #407 for two weeks in January. The condo is decorated very well and has everything you need for your vacation of a lifetime. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the aminities.
We spent countless hours on the Lanai watching the sea turtles right below us. In addition there were quite a few Humpback Whales just off shore that we really enjoyed watching. One afternoon we counted six in a pod that were fairly close.
There are two very good snorkeling spots right next to Kuhio Shores, again one right off the Lanai.
In our opinion this is the nicest condo at Kuhio Shores and was spotless when we checked in.
Kuhio Shores is in a great location with one of Kauai's best restaurant next door. There were many days it was raining in Lihue and we were sunny at Poipu.

We have stayed in Rick and Kathy condo #407 at Kuhio Shores twice. We were among some of the first people there after their remodel and we were there again in September of 2009.
It was perfect each time. The views from the large corner lanai are stunning, commanding ocean front and mountain views. They have brought the outside in with nice attention to mirrors, floor to ceiling sliding doors, and just the right amount of Hawaiiana in their tastefull furnishings. The quality kitchen is great to cook in as well as having beautiful views.
This condo is comfortable for four and would be great for a family as there are turtles and sealife swimming right below your lanai.
The neighborhood is great, close to good shopping, restaurants, as well as fantastic snokeling outside your door. the famous spouting horn and botanical gardens are a lovely walk down the road.
We have stayed in beautiful throughout the Islands and this is one of the nicest by far. We have wonderful pictures from #407 all over our house. Rick and Kathy are very helpful and are great to work with. Mahalo to them for sharing their beautiful home with the world.

From the moment we walked in the door we were in awe. I've stayed several times at Kuhio Shores. It's my personal favorite place to stay while visiting Kaua'i. But the upgrades that this condo has are absolutely out of this world. It is by far the most beautiful unit that I've stayed in thus far. All this coupled with the spectacular ocean views that take your breath away. This is paradise at its best!

Unit #407 is absolutely our favorite, and we have stayed in many units at Kuhio Shores. Perfect for a party of four, with the early morning sun helping enjoy that first cup of coffee. The scenery is great, and the owners couldn't be better to work with...just an email away, and the unit was ours. Will be back for years to come...we hope!!!
