South Shore of the Island of Kauai at beautiful Poipu Beach. The complex is surrounded by ocean on 3 sides, the south, east and west. The main road on Kauai does not circle the entire Island because of the rugged Napali Coast on the Northwestern side of the Island. The road ends at Polihale Beach on the West side and at Haena on the Northeastern side, Poipu is located at the Southeastern side or in the center of the Road as it partially circles the Island thus being centrally located for access to the West and North part of the Island.

Spokane, WAAmazing location on beautiful Kauai
Left on 12/15/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We had a wonderful 8 days at your condo this month. It was our first trip to Kauai and we absolutely loved it. The location of the condo is amazing - the water is so close and the sound of the surf is so relaxing. We saw beautiful sunsets, and the surf was up for a few days, so the surfers were out in force, and we could watch it all right from the deck of the condo or from the kitchen table. We enjoyed the many nice places to eat and shop, which were all conveniently close by. This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. My wife says that we are definitely going to plan a return trip again and will be planning to stay at your condo.

Aloha,
We spent our honeymoon last year at Chuck's condo and loved it so much we came back for our first anniversary.
This time we stayed for three weeks!
We enjoyed sitting on the lanai with our coffee in the morning and with our wine in the afternoon. We watched the turtles, surfers, waves and boats. And the sunsets were breathtaking!!
The condo was very clean and had all the comforts of home. The couch and lazy boy chairs were SOO comfortable.
We were able to make dinner at the condo or were within driving distance to some very good restaurants. One of which is the Beach House, right next door!
We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to again returning to Chuck's condo in Paradise.
Mahalo,
Ralph and Lois Balster

I brought my 87 year old mom on vacation to Chuck's condo. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in three other locations during our visit and this was our favorite. The view was amazing and the condo was very comfortable. It was wonderful having the owner just a phone call away. The only problem we had was we didn't want to leave. We enjoyed most of our meals at the kitchen table watching surfers, sea turtles, sunsets and the rolling surf. Thank you Chuck for sharing your condo. We will definitely return. Mahalo

We spent a week here relaxing and enjoying the great views. This condo is in a great location and lives up to its description. We sat on the lanai and watched the sea turtles, surfers, divers and boats. The ocean breezes and fans kept us comfortable despite a couple humid days. My only caution is this: if you plan to do any cooking you must bring everything including salt, pepper, spices, Pam, etc. and take them home or throw them out at the end of your stay. The owner is very worried that ants will be attracted to them, even spices... Other than that, our stay was perfect.

Mahalo, Chuck, for sharing your wonderful condo at Kuhio Shores! The waterfront location is truly amazing, with surf pounding the shore just feet from the balcony. We spotted whales, watched turtles roll in the surf and investigated the tidepools just feet from the condo. The "bump out" kitchen is the best view, hands down. I appreciated the stocked kitchen; it made cooking for my son with a food inolerance so simple. The place was spotless when we arrived. It was truly like staying with friends.

Fantastic ocean views - could not be better. We loved hearing the sound of the ocean. Unit was clean, well maintained, kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. Living room chairs are super comfortable. Chuck (owner) took personal interest and was very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

My husband and I along with friends spent a week in this wonderful location. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary (a bit late). Had a wonderful dinner at the Beach House. Also had a nice dinner at Brenneke's Beach Broiler; good breakfasts at Joe's on the Green; appetizers and cocktails at Keoki's Paradise and Kalapaki Joe's Sports Bar. Zip lined at Just Live - fun! Drove around the island, played golf, watched Sea Turtles and Manta Rays from the condo, snorkeled...what else can I say?? We thoroughly enjoyed the week!

Condo was very beautiful. Terrific location with no other condos to stare at given how it jutted out from the others. Beds were very comfortable. Everything worked. It was all even better than advertised! Wish we had planned a longer stay!
If you are looking at this condo, don't wait - book it! You won't be disappointed! -

SeattleLet the sea roar!
Left on 06/17/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Upon our arrival at 214, we had no idea how awestruck we would be on entering.
Before our eyes was an expanse of ocean waves. There was a wall of windows presenting to us a field of roaring waves crashing on black basalt rock. The shore not more than thirty feet below and in front of us, we were nearly engulfed in the drama of tossing sea.
Surround sound filled the apartment with the shouts of rushing waters and blue sky in full screen frontal assault. It rivaled any Imax theatre in scope and depth. I stared and listened in complete attention and wonder. This scene contained living things, all moving with the rhythm of waves and the pull of the moon on its strings.
It sings.
I grasped, "It has been made to continually echo varied scales of praise to God, the Creator. His love and perfection moved before us in fascinating pulsing motion. Long before this scene was marred by the footprints of man, this living breathing song belonged to Him. I wanted to read about this more. Not even thinking of whom to "google", I went to open the Bible. It was Isaiah's voice I thought could give me what I desired to hear. I turned toward Isaiah 40 knowing what great thoughts about the universe were contained there. What better place to start? As has happened graciously at other times, when I hoped God would talk and I would listen, the pages gave its urge right before my eyes.
Isaiah 42:10
"Sing to the Lord a new song, his praises from the end of the earth! Let the sea roar and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants."
"From the end of the earth" ... Than here, where else could be farther from the billions of mankind?
I learned that the first humans on Kauai did not arrive until 200 - 800 a.D.
The inhabitants of all that is in the sea and along the coastline have been singing for countless generations before the first voice of the first son of man ever came to join its chorus.
He truly fills the earth with a melodious wistful roar! -

We absolutely loved staying in this condo. The location was perfect and the view was so amazing that when we left for our excursion's we were excited to get back and just sit on the balcony, relax, and enjoy the ocean for hours. With my camara I was able to take pictures of whales and turtles right from the balcony. We are looking forward to our visit next year and will book early in order to stay at this same location!

We had lots of space, as well as comforts of home
in unit 214 . Tv and amenities were great ...but best entertainment was from lanai , where we could sit and watch turtles , whales , and surfers until sunset ! So nice to come "home" to after a busy day of exploring the island !
Nice walks to new village mall , and even to Poipu beach .
Best snorkling is just a few feet out from beach beside condo...like being in a fish tank ! No wonder that Chuck has so much passion and is so proud of his home in paradise ! -

San Jose, CaKs214 - a terrific place for a family!
Left on 03/03/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Ks214 is a fantastic place to stay. Our family has stayed there for several years now and will always request it. In fact, we usually schedule the following year's reservation while we are still there - that's how much we like it and don't want to miss out.
It's got a fantastic view of course, but with the added corner windows in the dining area, the whole Pacific ocean opens up. It's always easy to have kids there as the place is super-clean and well maintained. It's more secure than the first floor units, since there is a railing on the lanai, so we can let the kids go out there without fear they'll jump into the Pacific!
Accommodations are comfy, and make our family feel at home.
The owner is always proactive in checking condition, ensuring we have what we need, and reviewing with us at least once during our stay. He's always available for questions.
If you want a zero-maintenance, easy-to-love holiday, this is the place! We can't wait to go back again next year. -

We first stayed in this condo for our 10 year anniversary 20 years ago, and just returned from our trip last week celebrating our 30 year anniversary!!! We can't say enough about the beauty and location of this condo. Not only is it located at the driest spot on the Island and is central to everything you would want to see, it is one of the only few condo's on the Island with both a panoramic view of the sunrise and sunset. The wrap around windows with the ocean only feet in front of the lanai has the feel of paradise!!! We would highly recommend this awesome condo to any one visting the beautiful Island of Kauai. You will be more than satisfied. We can't wait to return... This condo is a "10"

We thoroughly enjoyed this condo, it was clean, well equipped and had the best views of the sunrises and sunsets. It was so relaxing , we felt right at home. The location is perfect - the ocean is right there and it was so handy to everything , golf, snorkeling or just going out for a walk. From the lanai you could see turtles feeding, whales and even dolphins swim by. And it was nice that the owner, Chuck called us after we all arrived to see if everything was ok, he was extremely helpful with the information on Kauai he sent us ahead of time as we had never been there. It is truly a tropical paradise. We will definitely be back and rent #214 again..

Service: The security and help who took care of the condos were very friendly and helpful.
Home: The home was great. Had everything we needed. Spare towels, internet access, a fully stocked kitchen was used frequently. One of the reasons I enjoyed the condo the most was the floor to ceiling windows all along the south end of the condo and in the dining area. Made our stay very enjoyable. We had planned on eating out at restaurants more but the view from the condo was so amazing we ended up cooking for a majority of the time.
Location: The location was fantastic. Mere metres from the ocean. Beaches within walking distance but grocery stores and restaurants are driving distance. The condo is located in Poipu on the South Shore which is ideal for the winter time, away from the large waves and winds of the North. Theres a snorkel rental place just next door which is convenient since this area is frequently described as the location with the best snorkeling on the island.
Liked Most: The view was without a doubt phenomenal and a highlight of our trip - waking up to the ocean right outside the condo. -

If you want oceanfront, views, snorkling, listening to the ocean then this is the place!! The condo was amazing!! Clean and fully equipped with the convenience of home. We watched whales from our lanai and the sunsets from the dining area! The week we spent there was too short and can't wait to get back. Nice to have internet connection to keep in touch with reality when we wanted to. The owner was wonderful to work with! This was trip was paradise...;)

We have stayed here on two separate occasions. The first time we considered ourselves lucky and the second time we were not disappointed. The views and amenities from the condo are so great you never want to eat out. You would be hard pressed to find a better view from any of the nearby restaurants... not to mention the money you would be saving. When we find ourselves returning to Kauai we will definitely want to come back to this location and condo.

We wanted to be close to the Ocean and this is the place!
Great snorkeling! right next door! We were able to get great underwater shots of a school of fish that a snorkeling instructor said, that day in the water "that it doesn't get better than this!"
This unit is within a couple hour drive of any spot on Kauai. Great owners to do business with. Clean well appointed unit with Great views.. and quiet!!
This is a far better choice for the $$ than the over priced resorts... Definetly a place we'll be back -

Good location, clean, comfortable, well cared for unit. Sea turtles were right off our balcony. Excellent snorkeling at beach right around the corner. We took an awesome aTV adventure & a sunset cruise of the NaPali coastline. Next door Beach House restaurant had great food, drinks & unparalleled sunset views. Owner Chuck Ballard was a dream to co-ordinate with. I cannot imagine a better place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! Would love to return to the same place again someday!
