Description from the owner
106 is the "best of the best" Kuhio Shores (ranked #2 by TripAdvisor for Po'ipu condos) offers.
Why settle for less than being right on the beach? Where else are you going to find the beach at such a great price with all the comforts of home?
Located right on the beach, Kuhio Shores provides snorkeling, scuba, surfing, swimming, sunning, and beachcombing without having to get in your car or even cross the street. You are five minutes away from Po'ipu Beach and old Koloa town; with excellent shopping and restaurants between the condo and those destinations.

Additional Location Information
Kauai offers all the benefits of a Hawaii without feeling overwhelmed by tourists. I spent a few years living in a rural area in the tropics in the 60's... and Kauai reminds me so much of the way things were back then (of course, with internet access).
The island has many micro-climates, from jungle to desert; this is the dry side. It is common for the entire island to be engulfed in rain, and just as you reach Koloa, the rain subsides.
Kuhio Shores is right on the beach; you can't build this close anymore. There's a reef ~200yds. out where the waves break, so the water is normally tranquil by the condo.
Lawai beach is most popular on the other side of the building, in front of the Beach House restaurant (where the good surfing is). This side of the building faces Ho'ia Bay with a small patch of beach that attracts the turtles and not the tourists. There are only 8 ground-level units on this side of the building which gives it a sense of privacy. If you want to see and be seen, then the beach on the other side of the building is only a short walk.
The condo faces east for the sunrise. There is a year-round breeze coming from the east, providing near constant flow-through ventilation.
Inside the unit, the wood and art remind me of the tropics back in the 60's... so I'm a throw-back for nostalgia in this respect. It adds to the sense that you're on a remote rural island.
We've never looked at renting the condo strictly as a business; it's for our fun and our guests fun. The greatest reward we get is in helping our guests have the best possible vacation. It sounds "sappy" but it's true: it's been our most intangibly rewarding venture, and we love doing it.
One additional benefit has been the best, most diligent and hard-working housekeeper imaginable!

This condo was absolutely perfect for us. We were so happy to walk in and see the amazing view. Its on the ground level so you can walk right out to the ocean and watch turtles. Snorkeling is right there too as well as the Beach house restaurant. We we very happy with the thought that went into setting this condo up for people to feel comfortable and have everything they need. The decor was well planned and flows through the whole condo that is sparkling clean and well equipped. We couldn't have been happier there and will return many times :)

Hey everyone! We had a great time staying at Kuhio Shores 106. This side of Kaua'i was the sunniest and it was amazing being so close to everything. We saw sea turtles, manta ray, double rainbows, and wonderful sunsets all from the vicinity of the condo. The colors in the sky in the day and the visible stars from end to end at night were truly breath taking. Chris was more than helpful with tips, directions, and answered all of our inquires. The condo was also stocked with everything we needed for our 11 day holiday. Kuhio Shores was just a drive away from Poipu sights, Koloa Town, several farmers markets, Waimea Canyon, Shipwrecks Beach, and Spouting Horn. There seemed to be a lot of rain on the north side of the island so we're glad we chose to stay in the south. We hope to be back again some day! Staying there was a real treat and made our holiday the experience of a lifetime!

We would like to thank Chris and Becky for letting us use there condo. It was heaven. The best place on the island. We could look out our on our lanai, and See the sea turtles. The accommodations were immaculate, and the decor Beautiful. We were close to all the amenities that Kauai can offer. we went snorkeling, tubing, atv. And coming back to the condo was great at the end of the day. the bed was so comfy, and my 12 yr old son slept on the futon. Comfy. and working with Chris and Becky about the rental was above and beyond. Plus it was so quiet. just what we needed. Aloha. will see you again.

The condo was even better looking in real life than the photos express. It seemed like every need we could think of was provided for and it was an excellent base to rest comfortably between the adventures we experienced all across the island of Kauai.
Some of the highlights of the condo for us were the great snorkeling just outside the back door, cooking dinners in the kitchen that had everything we needed, and spending a lazy day watching tv episodes on the netflix provided while it poured outside. -

Santa ClaraSix stars out of five... truly a VIP experience beginning to end

If we could give this place six stars we would! First, great experience booking it. Chris is very thorough with information and made sure we had every piece of info we could possibly need to smoothly get into the condo and know about all the great places to visit in Kauai. When we arrived, we enjoyed a warm welcome with an unexpected welcome basket. It contained fresh fruit, mac nuts and a whole lot of aloha! Everything in the condo was sparkling clean. The condo is decked out with beautiful seaside decorations that made us feel very much at home. We could tell that a lot of care and love was put into the place to make it beautiful, and we really enjoyed these details. Not only were there beach chairs, plenty of towels and reusable shopping bags to use, there were even snorkeling gear and sunscreen. Though we brought our own gear it's very nice to be offered these. There was a nice guestbook to sign and it was fun to read about other people who visited. Highly recommended. Caught glimpses of other condo units in the same building and definitely feel like we scored the best one! Book with the Worley's if you can!

We stayed at Kuhio Shores #106 early October 2011. The condo is beautifully furnished, we arrived to a welcome basket of Hawaiian goodies (nice touch Chris!) the view is stunning, the condo comfortable and everything you may need for a vacation away from home is provided. You will find beach chairs, coolers, patio furniture and a comfortable place to stay. We will definitely go back, will pass onto friends how easy it was to plan this trip with Chris Worley and encourage others who are looking for a pain free vacation to do the same. ***We were also provided with detailed information about the condo and Kauai that helped us plan our outings in advance, it was great!

Issaquah WAOcean View, Warm Wood Decor Evoke Feeling of a Hawaiian Home
Left on 04/05/2011 for a stay in March 2011
Chris is prompt, thorough, and helpful in his response to renter inquiries. His information allows vacationers to prepare well for the trip and get there directly. We really enjoyed the push button lock on the main entry. It makes coming and going relaxed and convenient, not having to be sure the key is in one's pocket/purse before locking up.
This condo has a lovely Hawaiian home feeling with much warmth from the natural wood trim, carved wooden doors and varied shell collections and island art. Sea theme etching is on glass windows between rooms and over doorways adding visual impact and light, giving the condo an open feeling without sacrificing privacy on a ground floor unit. The stereo system with numerous Hawaiian, Jazz and Classical music choices adds a pleasant ambiance.
The bedroom and bathroom are well stocked with nice linens and towels. King size bed is very comfortable. Kitchen is very workable.
The grounds at Kuhio Shores are well kept. The parking lot is a real advantage. We've always been able to get a parking space. Traffic and noise are not an issue even with a restaurant and park and two beaches adjacent. The park is another plus and there are street side paths for running or walking.
What we enjoy most are the trade winds which blow consistantly through the east facing unit, keeping it so refreshing. Additionally, we enjoy that there is no afternoon sun and one can soak in the aloha warmth and bright sun bouncing on the sea in the adjacent bay all afternoon while relaxing in healthy shade. Then walk a short distance around to the other side of the building and watch the sunset from Lawai Beach area.
Sea turtles are frequently sighted and snorkling in either bay is nice. While a pool would be an added amenitiy, its absence defines some of the serenity of the place. The thing we like the least is leaving. -

We've just returned from our 3rd trip to Kauai and we are so pleased with our accommodations at Kuhio Shores #106. The owners, Chris and Becky, went out of their way to ensure we had all the relevant information to make our stay pleasant and anytime we had any questions, they replied the same day! The condo itself is comfortable and it's supplied with everything you could possibly need to have a relaxed and enjoyable vacation. The location is top notch and we can't think of anywhere else we would rather stay while visiting Kauai. It's close to shopping and good restaurants in both Poipu and Koloa Town. The view from the lanai is amazing and on a daily basis we've watched turtles, spinner dolphins and humpback whales swim by. Just around the corner from the unit you get the most amazing sunsets- what a fabulous way to end a day in paradise! The snorkelling on both sides of the complex is the best in the area for seeing both turtles and a large variety of colourful fish. We are so pleased with our vacation and our stay at #106 we are making plans to return again next year. Thanks Chris and Becky!

Jefferson City, MOA Wonderful Kauai Vacation a Kuhio Shores 106
Left on 02/25/2011 for a stay in February 2011
My wife and I rented Unit #106 for the week of February 11-18, 2011. What a beautiful condo in an absolutely great location!! Chris and Becky Worley are wonderful hosts and provided great information prior to our trip which really helped us prepare. Their pride in ownership is evident in their beautifully decorated, comfortable condo. Comfortable bed, WiFi, streaming Netflix, beach chairs and towels, every appliance and kitchen utensil you could think of -- all made for a very pleasant stay. Great ocean-front location, close to shops and restaurants. Being able to walk a few yards to enjoy great snorkeling with exotic fish and sea turtles was a definite plus. We already miss morning coffee on the lanai listening to the soothing surf sounds. The Beach House Restaurant right next door made for a great Valentine's Night dinner. We could not have found a better place to spend our time in Kauai. If we make it back to Kauai, we would definitely stay at Kuhio Shores #106. If you are planning your Kauai dream vacation, this is your spot!!

We rented Kuhio Shores 106 for 13 days in January of 2011. Had a great time & loved Kuhio Shores & Kauai. Ks 106 is nicely decorated with a Hawaiian theme. The kitchen was well equipped which was important to us as we prepared a lot of our meals in the condo. I especially liked being on the ground floor and being able to walk right out on the beautiful lawn. The bedroom is of average size and is located in the rear of the condo away from the ocean sounds. We found the bed to be comfortable and we had no trouble sleeping at night. The condo's lanai faces east with a nice view of an ocean bay and partial ocean view. I enjoyed several beautiful sunrises while having my morning coffee sitting on the lanai. We also loved the sunset's but would take the lawn chairs and a beverage around to the front of Kuhio Shores. The only significant negatives I can say about ks 106 is that we didn't find the couch to be comfortable and I am used to larger TV,s. The condo's owners - The Worleys are fantastic and really helped make our Kauai vacation the success that it was.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this condo. The location is great, with snorkeling of both sides of the building. Especially enjoyed snorkeling with the turtles. Liked the ground-floor convenience, and the condo was well equipped. A great extra was the streaming Netflix.

Left on 01/24/2011 for a stay in January 2011
This condo was absolutely fantastic! Not only was it exactly what we were looking for, but the cost was very reasonable too. I was a little unsure about staying on the bottom floor, but if I went back to Kuhio Shores, I would have it any other way. Nothing beats being able to relax on the lanai and then just step out to go snorkeling. The condo had everything we needed and we really enjoyed the futon in the living room. We even slept on that a few nights as opposed to the bedroom so we could wake up to the sunrise in the morning. The condo is in a great area as far as snorkeling/sunbathing beaches go, and everything else we wanted to do was just a short walk or drive away. The owners were incredibly helpful as far as sending tips on things to do on the island and they went above and beyond to make sure our trip was exactly as we wanted it. If we go back to Kauai, we will definitely plan on staying in Kuhio Shores 106!

an extremely well-equipped, comfortable, quiet, condo with obvious pride of ownership in an ocean front location with snorkleing literally steps from the wonderful lanai. Nothing like sound of surf to lull you to sleep at night! Very convenient location for south Kauai/Poipu area exploration; nice new upscale shopping center 10 mins walk. Very professional nautical/maritime decor, lots of mirrors make that make it seem larger.
