The south shore of Kauai is famous for being warm and sunny, averaging 75 degrees F year-round. Our condo is located just 3 blocks from what Travel Magazine rates as one of the top 10 snorkle beaches in the world! We think the Regency at Poipu Kai is the perfect, low-density beach resort. Walk out our front door, turn left, and in a few minutes you can be at the beach watching the sunrise. Walk out our front door, turn right and a short stroll will take you to the beach to watch the sunset. Paradise! Ample free parking and easy access to condo without needing stairs or an elevator.

This ground floor condo was a great value. Its a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath. The owner, Bob, was easy to communicate with via email and very friendly. The kitchen is fully stocked (the knives are very dull though, and obviously they don't provide the food except they did have salt, pepper, olive oil, and sugar), and they provide beach/swim gear, which proved to be useful (no need to rent snorkel gear! they've got it!). Bed was comfy, they had cable tv and free Wifi! Its a 10 minute walk through the condo resort to Poipu Beach, a 10 minute walk to the Hyatt / shipwreck beach, and 15 minute walk to Poipu shopping village (Starbucks, Gelato, Puka Dog).
Why didnt i give it 5 stars? I wish this place had more of a view. The lanai looks out to the front walkway/path and the lanai in the bedroom to another path/bush. There is no aC, only ceiling fans...now this didnt bother us too much since it was low 80s the whole time. Also, every night we could hear our "upstairs neighbors" doing god knows what but it sounded like a circus. It did end at 10pm every night though (kids bed time?). Also, the pool area was very close to the condo but it was tiny...we didn't spend any time there.
All in all, great value for just the 2 of us (couple in their late 20s). -

When my wife and I decided to try a vacation in Kauai,we had no idea how great it was going to be.This condo had all the comforts of home plus the great Hawaiian-style decor,super comfortable beds,close proximity to the pool,Jacuzzi, and BBQ, and easy access to beaches and golf courses. Our relaxation was enhanced by the soft breezes in the Palm trees accented by the sweet songs of tropical birds.
The friendly local manager and the helpful owners were extremely responsive to our every question and/or need. We look forward to a return visit in the near future. -

Spending two heavenly weeks in this condo didn't feel like enough time. The ceiling fans in each room kept the tropical breezes flowing with the aroma of luscious Hawaiian flora growing just off the lanai. Every amenity found at home is here, including washer/dryer, multiple tvs, a large fully stocked and appointed kitchen and lanai adjoining each bedroom as well as the living room. It is spacious and comfortable enough to accommodate a few adults or a family. The beach is a short walk away and the pool is practically outside your door. While there we enjoyed the drive up Waimea Canyon, Spouting Horn, Wailua Falls and the botanical gardens to name a few attractions. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to relax, read, sightsee and just love life.

We just got back from 8 days at your condo and we had an amazing time. Your home is exactly as you described, only better because it has clearly been cared for and decorated by someone who knows what they are doing. The location was excellent - steps away from the pool, a 5 minute walk to the famous Poipu Beach (Boogie Board Beach is where our kids (5&7yrs) had the most fun!) and a 10 minute walk to the breathtaking Hyatt Resort (for a special dinner/cocktails). Your home was clean, spacious, and I really appreciate how quickly you got back to me with my million questions (thanks for your patience!). We really loved relaxing on the lanai with our homemade mai tais and listening to the Hawaiian music you provided. The ground-floor location was an added bonus we didn't really appreciate until we returned after a long day with arms full of snorkel gear, wet towels, a cooler and tired kids. Our kids really enjoyed walking to the beach in the morning to feed the chickens (though the locals aren't big fans of them), the 9am feeding of the koi at the Hyatt, snorkeling at Poipu, surfing lessons at Poipu (ask for Nelson) and swimming at the pool. My favorite day was our drive to the north shore where I watched the girls jump into Queens Pond (I was too chicken). But I'm really glad we stayed in Poipu. Hannapepe is a really cute little artist's town and driving to the end of Polihale beach was an experience we will never forget. I'm hoping we find a way to make an annual trip to Kauai - if we do we will definitely stay at your condo because it felt like a home away from home!! Thanks again, Monica
