Only a small patch of lawn separates you from the ocean, so take the elevator down from this fourth floor condo --our Moon Glow suite-- and you are ocean side. The glass-walled living room and the lanai of this large condo look straight out at the ocean. As you relax --inside or out on the lanai-- watch sea turtles, dolphins, and whales swim by (don't be surprised if you look up and see a cruise ship passing in distant waters)...

Our building is on a promontory that juts into the Pacific Ocean, and even though you are oceanFRONT with a 100% view of the water, entertainment is just minutes away.
Two golf courses are less than five minutes away - Kiahuna and the championship Poipu Bay Resort course, site of multiple PGA Grand Slam events.
There is excellent snorkeling and scuba diving right outside your door; sign-up for open ocean dives, sport fishing, sailing, and ocean tours at locations nearby.
A variety of restaurants and shops are just a few minutes away in Poipu Shopping Village, Old Koloa Town (circa. 1830), and the new Kukui'ula Village.
Some of the best food on-island is served right next door at the Beach House Restaurant - THE place for fine dining and a magnificent Po'ipu sunset; Merriman's and Josselin's Tapas in Kukui'ula Village; Roy's in Po'ipu Shopping Village; and Casa Di Amici near Po'ipu Beach Park.

We came to Hawaii to be a part of a friend's wedding. The first 3 nights we stayed at a hotel in Kapaa with the wedding party and were very disappointed. We did not get the Ocean Front view we reserved and were given a partial view. This was beginning our vacation on a very sour note. Finally we were able to go to the condo. We drove through the Tree Tunnel, into Old Koloa town and then to Poipu. Passing the shore and into Kuhio Shores, we were really getting excited. Beautiful flowers and trees surround the parking lot. We went upstairs and when we opened the door, we were thrilled!! To describe it, would be to say it's home away from home. We immediately felt comfortable and ready to settle in.
The condo is complete with everything as described by the owners. The bed is wonderfully comfortable!
The glass wall facing the ocean gives you an amazing unobstructed view of the ocean. Opening the door and window, the sound of the ocean fills the condo and can even be heard in the bedroom, making sleep dreamy. From the very private lanai, you can watch the whales in the distance and the sea turtles swimming in the surf along the shore. We watched the sunrises and amazing sunsets while lying on the chaise lounges from the lanai. We spent every evening on the lanai listening to the ocean, watching the moonlight playing on it and looking into the non-light polluted sky at the stars.
Denise and Gordon made the reservation process so easy and had great communication. They even sent an email that gave great information about places near there and around the island to eat, shop, sightsee and snorkel. That was greatly appreciated!!
We have decided definitely to come back and plan to stay in the Moon Glow suite again!! Thank you so much for making our vacation as great as we were hoping for!! Would recommend this unit to everyone!! -

This comfortable, perfect-sized condo has a fantastic location. The views are amazing and there are so many fun things to do nearby - beaches, Kuhio Park, Spouting Horn, local grocers, restaurants, and even Starbucks :-)
The condo itself had everything we needed to have a relaxing, fun time and the view from the lanai and even inside can't be beat. We had a small issue while we were there but the owners very graciously and quickly dealt with the matter. We have already, and will continue to recommend the Moon Glow suite (409) to friends and family.

The Moon Glow Suite is well maintained, thoughtfully equipped, very comfortable unit with stunning ocean views. The constant sound of the crashing waves is incredibly relaxing, whether you're outside on on the lanai, or inside in the living room or kitchen area. Even from the bedroom in the back of the unit, the sounds of the waves are clearly heard and will lull you to sleep at night.
You'll never get tired of watching the turtles from the lanai by day, or the stars by night.
The unit is equipped with every attention to detail. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you may need; it even has a coffee grinder. There's tons of beach gear, including big plush towels, comfortable beach chairs, umbrellas and some snorkel gear. Bedding and bath towels are of top quality.
This unit has the added bonus of an extra bath in the master bedroom; very handy when both guests want to shower at the same time!
The property is well maintained, with manicured lawns facing the ocean, and tropical flowers adorning the tree-shaded parking area.
Next door is a lovely little beach, great for snorkeling and with unparalleled sunsets.

The condo was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The view of the ocean was wonderful, you just wanted to sit and gaze at it all day! The location was close to shops, nice eating places and great beaches. It was a place I'd love to return to again.

Wonderfully private and quiet 1 bedroom condo. Literally right over the ocean. The loudest sound is that of the waves breaking. Fully furnished with everything you might need. I had a fairly long stay for business, and it was always relaxing to come "home" and see wall to wall ocean. Perfect location with snorkeling beach right next to the condo, as well as a restaurant. With more shops and restaurants just down the street. But when you are in the unit it is as if you are in Hawaii alone!

If you're looking for a home away from home and not just another "rental accommodation" look no further. Not only is Poipu the place to stay in Kauai but Kuhio Shores is the place to stay in Poipu. We have stayed at other units in Kuhio Shores and can say without a doubt this is your best bet. The most private unit with the most amazing views, Moon Glow suite has all you are looking for. Beautifully outfitted from the dreamy bed to the luxury beach towels with all the toys you could want or need. Denise and Gordon, the owners, were wonderfully helpful and a breeze to deal with. We will definitely be back for another stay here in paradise.

I love Kuhio Shores and #409 is a wonderful unit. Being on the 4th floor provides you with privacy and an amazing view. We watched whales, dolphins, turtles, and surfers from the lanai daily, and hearing the sounds of the ocean constantly was a joy. The condo has everything you need to be comfortable.
The location of Kuhio Shores is perfect on the sunny side of the island. It's the best spot to enjoy the sunset and there's a great snorkeling beach right next door. While there aren't many reasons to leave the lanai, a great little beach and grassy area is within steps of the condo, and there are many sites to see which are very close (including Spouting Horn and the McBryde Garden)
Denise and Gordon were great hosts and stayed in close contact with us to make sure we had everything we needed. I'll definitely return to Kuhio Shores #409 -

My husband and I just spent 12 days in the Moon Glow Suite for our honeymoon and loved every minute!! We even had a full moon on our last night there, and the whole ocean and apartment was bright!! The Moon Glow Suiteis absolutely the correct name. :)
The ocean crashes on the rocks and sea wall below- a sound that never grows old...the trade winds create a nice cool environment throughout the apartment. The furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need, including a dishwasher! Step out onto the balcony and look for the Whales off shore, or look below to the sea wall and see Sea Turtles!!! Walk to either side of the building with your snorkel gear (some provided in this apartment), and jump in with Parrot Fish, Angel Fish, corals, sea turtles and all sorts of sea life!! There is a Snorkel Bob's rental store on the west side beach where you can rent Paddle Boards/snorkels/boogie boards etc etc.
The apartment is a 3min drive from the closest store, 5mins from Old Koloa Town which has a Post Office, and several stores for t-shirts or groceries...There are multiple resorts within the area if you are looking at for a Spa.
Denise provided us with a list of things to do, stores she recommends, and places we "must see", it was wonderful to have 'insider' knowledge of this location.
We had an incredible time at the Moon Glow Suite and will definitely be back!!
