It's very peaceful here. When you listen to the sound of the ocean waves, and gaze at the endless horizon, you'll feel like you are a million miles away from all of your cares and concerns. There is nothing like being lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf. Come and experience the tranquility of this beautiful location.

The Kuhio Shores Condominium development, a four floor, 75 unit complex with a sandy beach on each side, is located on Lawai Road, which ends nearby at the Spouting Horn. It is adjacent (we are talking FEET here) to Lawai Beach, the best snorkeling beach on the island, and The Beach House, the best restaurant. Lawai Ro...ad is very quiet, and yet it is only minutes to Poipu Village Shopping, the Sheraton and Hyatt resorts and spas, Poipu Beach and other wonderful beaches, a half dozen other fine restaurants, and the world famous Poipu Bay Golf Course, previous home of the PGA 'Grand Slam of Golf' Tournament. Old Koloa Town, the oldest plantation town in Hawaii, is less than ten minutes away.

We first saw this condo during a business/vacation trip in July of 2003. We looked at a number of condos, including another one in Kuhio Shores, and this one was head and shoulders above the rest. The designer interior was great... but the real selling point was the location and the view... as soon as you walk in the door, you'll say "Wow."

We knew immediately that no guest would ever be disappointed with it, that we would always be proud to own it. We also suspected that we would get a lot of repeat guests, and referrals from our guests, so that the occupancy rate would be high. Still, we weren't sure it would be a good investment, but because of our sentimental attachment to Kauai (we were married on the island in 1996, and have been in love with it ever since), we decided to go ahead, and we closed on the property in October 2003. Kuhio Shores is located directly on the ocean in a mostly residential area on a quiet road that dead-ends about a mile past near the National Tropical Botanical Garden and the Spouting Horn. Lawai Beach, right next door, is often called the best snorkeling beach on the island. Less than 1/2 hour from the airport, Poipu golf, shopping, dining and resorts are less than 5 minutes away. The unit comes with free parking for one car in the Kuhio Shores lot, directly behind the building, which has two elevators.
