Kauai Family Vacation
Downers GroveNice accomodations with good location for family
Left on 08/23/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The island is just beautiful and we were happy with the accommodations at Nihi Kai #403. It was adequate & what we expected. It was well represented from the on-line photos. The bathrooms could use updating. Great location, nice grounds, helpful knowledgeable personnel, great products and starter supplies. Could use plastic wear and some other basic items. A little musty the first day. Enjoyed the beaches, pool and view.

We liked our condo at the Nihi Kai Villas. We loved that we could see the ocean and the close proximity to the baby beach and boogie board beaches. The pool was immaculate and housekeeping, if you needed them, was very attentive to our needs. We look forward to coming back! Mahalo.

Sacramento, CAThe one vacation spot we return to year after year.

Poipu Beach and Nihi Kai Villas has become one of our favorite places to stay, and we have never been disappointed in our times there. We always enjoy the quiet, relaxing pace, yet Kauai offers everything for a perfect Hawaiian visit for all ages. We've reserved a condo for our next visit in February 2012 with the assurance that we'll have another great time, and look forward to our return. Mahalo for it all!

Great location and overall very clean. The mgmt company was responsive to any issue. The unit is a little tired (needs some updating) but for a week with sand between the toes it's great.

Service and communicating with the Parrish Collection personnel was very good. Downside was we thought we were getting an ocean view and sadly it really wasn't. Due more to tree trimming than location. The unit was outdated and lacked a fresh feeling. Pleasant stay and wonderful location.

Vancouver, CanadaComfortable but with some issues
Left on 04/13/2010 for a stay in February 2010
The location and view were great. The suite was well appointed with towels, dishes, outdoor chairs etc. The decor is dated for the amount being charged. The smell around the pool area and when sitting on the lanai was disgusting, it was often like sitting in a latrine. Also our neighbours with 3 young children living there full time; I think it was a challenge for them as the walls are not sound proof and distracting and noisy for us.

My company sent me to attend the Hawaiian Eye Convention and it was more that I could have ever dreamed of. I grew up in a small town with nothing and I never thought Hawaii was a place that I would have the chance to visit. When the company told me I was going, they told me to stay at the Nihi Kai Villas. We rented 403 and I felt like I had gone to heaven. Every day I got done with training, I ran back to 403 to sit at the pool, get something to eat, play tennis, or just relax. I cried all the way home to Wisconsin.
Thank you for everything, Dawn -

THe complex was wonderful, ideally located, and easy to get to. The unit was well kept, with plenty of room for six. It could have used some updated beach equipment but there were plenty of other options where you could rent.
The beach was great - definitely in the top 3 worldwide - and an easy walk from Nihei Kai. There were plenty of places for dinner within a mile or within a short car ride.
The folks at Parrish were extremely helpful in setting up the stay at the last minute and were readily accessible during the visit.

The location is great, with close access to great beaches! The layout worked great for us, with the two bedrooms down, and the living/eating areas up. For a scenic short hike, go around the corner, and over the hill east towards Shipwreck Beach, and find the trail - beautiful rocky views!

I've stayed for 2-4 weeks in Kauai every winter since 2000, and I've
always stayed at Parrish villas in Poipu. I've enjoyed every one of these
villas -- Waikomo Stream #332, Poipu Crater #6, and this spring Nihi
Kai #403.
All of these are large units with either a secluded natural setting
(Waikomo Stream), a territorial view across a volcano valley (Poipu), or
an ocean view and easy beach access (Nihi Kai). These villas have
always provided more space than my group needed, and the prices are
the most competitive in Poipu. -

We stayed at 403 for two weeks and loved every minute of it. We found the condo to be well-maintained and it provided plenty of space for our family of 6. The beaches were a close 5 minute walk and we found ourselves out on the "wall" every night to watch sunset and meet/talk to folks. I did a great deal of research prior to booking this condo and I must say that it was the best deal out there.

Granite Bay, CAGreat condo
Left on 09/16/2008 for a stay in August 2008
We rented this condo as one of two units for the week--the other being occupied by the in-laws. Nice open layout with good view from the upstairs out to the ocean. Very clean. Well equiped kitchen.
It was a short walk to the beach (Brenneckes) where the kids went boogie boarding almost everyday. Just farther down (but easily in walking distance) we could snorkel (Poipu beach). There were green turtles out by the beach that we could watch every day. The tennis courts were barely used and so we were able to go out whenever we wanted to use them.
We would certainly go back to these condos if/when we go back to Kauai.
