Oxnard, CAPoipu area the best!
Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We love the Poipu area and this condo is within walking distance to Brennecke's Beach as wella as Poipu. The complex also has a very nice pool that was barely utilized so you could have the whole thing to yourself if you wanted! Staying in Poipu gives you easy travel access to the rest of the island as well since it is approx. in the middle - you can drive out to Princeville or up to Koke'e...

Check in was a little challenging as we arrived after dark. The lock box was difficult to open and lighting was poor. These problems can easily be fixed.
The unit was clean and well furnished. We enjoyed BBQ most evenings.
It was a great location with only a short walk to the beach.
The only negative was that there was a sewer problem that was very stinky and noisy to fix right outside our unit. I know these things happen and it had to be attended to. Just too bad that it happened while we were there. -

I must say we had a fabulous stay at the Niki Kai Villas. It was more than spacious with many accomodations and services that we sure did use and need along with cable TV. It sure was more than well equipped.
The grounds were beautiful, well kept and perhaps could have been a little more "lit" for security purposes at night.
The bedrooms downstairs were very spacious and the bathrooms were well equipped that elimated my dragging hair dryers etc. along on the trip. The only thing I would like to suggest as far the the bedrooms went is that because they are ground level the doors and windows needed to be more secure from unwanted visitors. Anyone could walk off the street and get in or break the glass. That was a bit scary.
I will seriously say that I would definitely stay here again and recommend your villas to my friends and family.
Aloha and thank you for allowing us the pleasure of staying ! Kay Tadin -

AlbuquerqueGreat Poipu Condo!
Left on 11/25/2008 for a stay in October 2008
Great ocean view from this well equipped condo, which is half a block from the ocean. The kitchen and bathrooms in this unit were recently renovated and they did a very nice job. The only thing this unit needs is new carpet. Parking near unit is limited, so it is either street parking or you have to use the upper parking lot; not a big deal though. Condo complex is older, but well maintained. Cafe Amichi is across the street and is fantastic!

This property was terrific. We felt like we were at home, but on vacation at the same time. My son was so sad to leave to go to the Big Island where we stayed in a hotel..... He loved the room to spread out and relax... (The IPOD speaker thing was a big hit with my daughter, too!)
My favorite things were the breeze, and the fact that every single time we walked out of our door and toward the beach, we saw at least one sea turtle.
The beach is very convenient, lots of restaurants nearby...
Really liked it... Will choose this unit for our next trip. -

Perfect for the whole family

Our famiy stayed at the Nihi Kai villas. From the moment we entered our room -it was wonderful. Since the pics online made us feel that we had been there before. The unit was comfortable, everything we needed was in the kitchen. The grounds and unit were well maintained. Perfect location to beaches and touring the whole island. Loved having two floors. We also appreciated having towels for the beach along with chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards. Can't wait to return.

nice location and views
Left on 08/21/2008 for a stay in July 2008
We held a family reunion in Hawaii in August of 2008. 16 people from australia and US. Unit 405 was one of four units that we rented. It had the most room of all of our units and nicest views from the Lanai. Because it is an end unit it has side windows which help the air circulation. 405 also had a half bath on the main living floor which was very convenient. We decided to use 405 as a gathering place because it is close to parking and is only a short flight of stairs to the kitchen area.
Nihi Kai Villas is one of the best location in Popui. You can walk to the beaches, along the cliffs, and to other resorts - a definite plus if you have older children who cannot yet drive. We had 5 teens in our group and they loved the freedom that walking offered.
The grounds are outstanding, very lush with a gazillion different flowering plants. Nice pool and tennis courts as well. We used the common bar-b-que area twice as well as doing a couple of cookouts at the popui beach park right down the street. -

Beautiful location
Left on 08/20/2008 for a stay in April 2008
The condo is in a beautiful location. View of the ocean and the sound of the waves are very relaxing.
I would recommend this condo, I just would like to see the owners fix the closet doors so one can open them, and upgrade the worn furniture and bathrooms.Response from The Parrish Collection Kauai - 11/07/2008

Aloha Tlbear,
We appreciate your taking the time to review your stay at Nihi Kai. We just wanted to let you know that the owner has remodeled the majority of the condo, which includes installation of a new kitchen and bathrooms. Hopefully you will be able to return soon and enjoy all the upgrades.
