The plantation style architecture at this small island oasis by the sea is surrounded by swaying palms, tropical flowers, fruit trees, orchids, and mature plumeria trees accented by well manicured lawns.

Just steps along the shoreline, Nihi Kai Villas is the closest condominiums to the world-famous body surfing Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach State Park. Some units are just 50 yards from the ocean with others terracing up the gentle sloping hill to the upper panoramic ocean view units 300 yards from the ocean.

We decided to try a different location this year and were very pleased with our decision and your recommendation. The unit had a nice layout and was very comfortable. Our only minor complaint would be the tv in the living room. The cable would randomly lose the signal and the screen would go blue. Very hard to unwind from a long day of fun and sun.

I grew up on Kauai and still have family there but when we need a little extra space we have rented at Nihi Kai Villas. We love this place, the location is perfect. Poipu is our favorite spot and its nice to be in walking distance of the beach so that when one child needs a nap we can do that without having to pack up the whole family. There were 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 younger kids and we fit perfectly in the unit. Thanks!

Our stay in #503 was wonderful, nothing was wrong with the unit. But we had crying children all around us. Mother's and father's that needed some child training. It was perfect when they were gone or we were gone. We had children and have grandchildren. Don't let our age make you think we're cranky.

We were very happy with Nihi Kai 503. We had a beautiful view, the unit was large (bigger than where we currently live), it was clean, and provided everything we needed. In addition the beach and a food establishment was within walking distance. We will definitely stay there again. Even though it wasn't one of the more updated units, we felt very comfortable and happy there.

The service from Parrish was great. The condo was nice. The location to the beach was great, Poipu is one of my kids favorite snorkling spots. The only thing I would have liked was an air conditoner for those muggy days.

We have rented condo 503 twice now and highly recommend this location for families. It has 2 levels which is nice for when you have children who go to bed earlier than the adults.
The grounds are always clean and the pool is spotless. Walking only a little way down the road you pass by the famous turtle viewing spot and quickly reach the poipu park. At this park you have several different types of beaches.
There is baby beach which is so shallow that even the smallest of toddlers can enjoy a walk about. And then you have Brenikies beach for the older tweens/teenagers to boogie board or just play in the waves.
While most of the rental units do not have air-conditioning, you have several fans and a cool ocean breeze to keep you comfortable.
The kitchen has all you need to prepare meals. With a quick shop at Costco you can save money on the expensive restaruants and eat at home for most meals.

We stayed in this unit for 5 nights. We rented through Parish
Kauai, which were very professional and easy book with. They
allow you to pick which unit you want and their website provides
photos and floorplans of the units. They did require paying the
balance two months prior to arrival, but that turned out to be a
good thing because our dollar tanked 20 cents after we paid the
balance. The after-hours check-in was really easy.
The unit was two levels, had two bedrooms and 4 lanais. The main
lanai was very private and had a slight view of the ocean. It was a
two minute walk to Brenneckes/Poipu Beach, which is great for
swimming, boogie boarding, snorkelling and (sometimes) surfing
The villas also have a pool, but it's only open 8 to 8.
It was an "Island Casual Unit" so while not at all fancy it did have
everything we needed, even a boogie board, lawn chairs and beach
mats. There was also a washer and dryer in the unit. The unit was
pretty clean, except for a moldy dishscrub brush under the sink. I
would reccomend this unit unless you like to be surrounded by
luxury. It was great for us, as we came to be outside, not inside. -

We spend a week this place. They had everything what we need.
The beach is so beautiful. And we saw many turtles and a monk seal.
I recommend this place to stay and wish come back again. -

We have been staying at the Nihi Kai Villas almost every
Spring these past 8 years. We return because of the excellent
accomodation, each unit is unique, each has its charm.
The location of course is second to none, out the condo door,
through the luxurious gardens and you are at the ocean,
Poipu Beach, spectacular! The pool is situated with a clear
view of the ocean.
The wonderful staff of the Nihi Kai Villas are always available
to help during the day as there is an on-site office.
Apt. 503 had a snippet view of the ocean and 4 lanai(s) to
choose from, great for quiet time or trying to catch sight of
dolphins or whales.
The unit is spacious, clean and nicely stocked with books to
read, even some recipe books if I recall.
(There was however no flashlight and I would like to
recommend the owners put one in, just a little thing, but nice
in an emergency, as many of the other units have one.)
Bathrooms were again very clean, nicely tiled.
I would happily return to this unit, two floors really let a
family spread out and have their space, perfect for ourselves
and our teenage children.

Nice unit, a bit dated but clean. Close to beach, and in the perfect area of Kauai for families - great beaches and turtle watching just down the road.
