The home we stayed in was great, it had everything we needed and was extremely clean, we loved it. Thanks to the owners.
The area around there was also very beautiful and lots of things to see and do. It is a beautiful place there.

Overall, the service, location, and value for this property was excellent. We liked having a kitchen and washer/dryer available for use, and the condo had many extras that we borrowed (cooler, beach mats, beach towels, etc). The service was also very good at the front office. Location was convenient - within a 2 minute drive of Poipu Beach and just across from an upscale outdoor mall. The grounds of the property are also very nice - you can tell that the gardner puts a lot of work into maintaining the plants and koi ponds.
Unfortunately, we did come across large cockroaches in the kitchen (in the cabinets and roaming around), on the first day of our stay as well as later on during the visit. We did not have food lying around on the first day of our visit, so I'm thinking that the cockroaches were already in the condo. If it was not for the cockroaches, I would recommend this property to other visitors.Response from The Parrish Collection Kauai - 01/18/2013

The home owner association does have the property on a regular preventative maintenance for insects and other pests, but unfortunately, as with any tropical paradise, there are times when they do sneak in, however it is rare. We apologize and ensure that we have had the unit directly treated to ensure they do not return and have not had any reports of them again. We do apologize for any inconvenience.

This unit is fabulous. My husband and I stayed here in april 2011 and I came solo in September 2011, absolutely lovely! We are coming back in april 2012 for 2 1/2 weeks, can't wait!!

Gale and I honeymooned at Waikomo and had the most wonderful time. It is located within walking distance to several nice beach spots and a great little shopping center. We had such a great time we are returning in October/November.

Great accommodations! The condo was beautifully decorated, clean and the furniture was all functional and comfortable. We already have our vacation scheduled for next year...three weeks of Heaven!

I had never stayed at the Waikomo Streams before but as soon as I opened the door to our unit I knew I had made the right choice. The unit was beautiful, clean, well stocked and quiet. The location was perfect. My husband and I had a great time and will be back again.

Our stay at Waikomo was wonderful. Unit 420 was better than we had hoped for--comfortable, clean, large; new appliances and a well-outfitted kitchen. The location is very good--not far from beautiful beaches and close to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. Regarding service, the DVD player didn't work when we arrived; we reported the problem and received a replacement machine the same day. We didn't have a ton of interaction with the staff, but that was because everything was so well organized. One small recommendation would be to plant a couple more trees in front of the lanai--the road behind showed through the foliage in a couple of spots, and I am a big fan of the garden immersion feel that the villas promote. Overall, we loved it and couldn't have been happier with the experience and the great value.

I didn't want to publish a review because I would love to keep this
place a secret as much as possible, but I feel the owners deserve a
super review- it exceeded all expectations, and they even put a guava
birthday cake in the fridge at my husband's request to surprise me- it
is a wonderful place to stay. -

My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing time in this lovely home. We felt so at home. Everything was provided and we lacked for nothing. We loved hearing the birds sing, the frogs croak and the wind sweeping through the palm trees and beautiful foliage. We spent a lot of time on the lanai; reading, resting, and restoration. My father had died within the week before coming and we needed a place to calm our nerves and feed our spirit. Our home away from home did just that

After hours of searching on the Internet I found the Waikomo Stream Villas of Poipu, Kauai and #420 on the second floor, end unit. When we arrived for our 7-night stay we were more than pleased with our choice. The villa is very large, with up-scale island-type furnishings and updated kitchen and bath. There is no A/C, yet, with the fans on and the windows open the breese is wonderful in the evenings (we were out during the days). I especially loved the well established and large/tall tropical plantings of the interior circle of the buildings. A walking path wanders through the lovely gardens and stream. The plants provide privacy for open windows and the sound of "rain" nightly when the sprinklers come on. The owners have provided a cooler, short beach chairs and a couple beach mats, which we used each day for our island trips. Within a couple days we were glad we selected Poipu as our place to stay since it is central to driving in both directions around the island. It was not important for us to stay on the beach (or pay the much higher rates) so we found the Villa's to be a perfect selection.

The Waikoma Villas were one of the most beautiful vacation rentals I visited out of several in Poipu. I think it is not only because of the cute & comfortable living space but the gardens throughout the property are what I imagined Kauai to be like! And the upkeep of all of the trees, plants and flowers is quite impressive!
And the staff are EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating! From booking all the way to checkout!!
The only bit of negative feedback are the birds. I never knew there were so many (loud) birds in Hawaii but then again, I am an especially light sleeper!
