What Past Guests Are Saying
The condo was great - we enjoyed the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks. Our only complaint was the lack of air conditioning. It was a hot week and the bedrooms would not cool off enough with the trade winds. One other thing which I mentioned to the Parrish rep when we left. The shower has a huge clear plate glass window totally open to the outside. It needs a curtain, as some of the other units have.

we enjoyed Whalers. This had all the conveniences we needed, close to pool and hot tub, which I enjoy when I'm tired.
We cooked at the outside grill, which was great.
The location is good, convenient to food centers and a good neighborhood to walk.
The bathrooms and layout of rooms was really nice.
Our second trip there and we loved the place, and the view.
This was our second stay at the condo and it was wonderful. The view was awesome and the accomodations were perfect. We would go back again.
truly outstanding condo. great location; great interior and exterior. very comfortable and luxurious.

Our 25th anniversary
We had a wonderful 25th anniversary at Whalers Cove. It is very private and quiet. The pool is refreshing and you can still see the ocean from it. The property is well maintained and the orchid garden is nice. The plumeria trees are our favorite. We have stayed at Whalers Cove for several yrs. and would come back.

Hawaiian Experience You Dream About
A hidden gem in a sea of time-shares and huge vacation developments. Not
for those seeking nightlife, recreational activities, or fast-paced
entertainment. Bring a book, swim suit, and relaxed frame of mind and you'll
fit right in. Family and children friendly. Feels like home. Not for those in
need of pampering (you know who you are). After more than 30 years of
vacationing in the Poipu area we believe Whalers Cove epitomizes the ultimate
such a gorgeous home!
So comfortable and wonderfully furnished. We hope to return soon!
Relaxing, beautiful vacation
We are a group of three friends and had a wonderful vacation. Our room had a beautiful ocean view and Whalers Cove was quiet and very relaxing. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. From our lanai we were entertained watching turtles, dolphins and a whale and her calf. We enjoyed the beautiful landscaping on the way to the great pool and hot tub. We especially were pleased that our favorite snokeling beach was just a few blocks away. (And also just a couple of blocks away from the best shrimp truck we've been to!)We loved everything about unit 132 and can't wait to return.

The Ultimate Oceanfront Condo
There is nothing more enchanting than watching the ocean from
this condo. Tropical breezes blow through, the palms dance in the
trade winds, and the waves crash below. If you are lucky, dolphins,
green sea turtles and the occasional whale in season enhance this
This is our third time renting here, and each time we vow to return
and stay longer. One has all the conveniences of home (kitchen,
washer/dryer, beach towels, linens) while offering a quiet and
peaceful retreat. Furniture and decorations add to the feeling of
quality and class, and the newly redone shower in the master
bedroom is a must see for the view.
For those who enjoy snorkling, the stairs at the end of the parking
lot lead to a private entrance into the stream leading to the cove.
It's fun to just walk from the condo to the cove: quick and
All in all we highly recommend this property and look forward to

Breathtaking views, wonderful sea turtles to watch and swim with, great pool and hot tub, peaceful and quite -- all around terrific time for a family of four!!! Unit itself was very well appointed with everything we needed for a 9-night stay. Only issue was with a couple of windows that were difficult to open, which was somewhat challenging because these properties do not have air conditioning. Trade winds and fans worked out very well however. And nothing beats falling asleep to the sounds of the incredible surf below!! A magical place that we hope to revisit many times to come.

We eloped in Hawaii and choose Whalers Cove as our Hawaiian Retreat.
Jan 7, 2008 arrival date - from our Wedding Journal “Walked onto the lanai of our oceanfront condo at Whaler’s Cove and had a moment of disbelief … how could this gorgeous place be ours?!? The reddest sunset of the trip lit up the sky on cue as this thought crossed my mind.”
“We saw Humpback whales, dolphins and sea turtles everyday from the Lanai.”
“very very nice
We intend to come back again

Perfect in every way!!!!!
We have stayed pretty much everywhere on the island of kauai. When we had children it was important to start staying in a condo, villa or house. We finally found the perfect place for both mommy( who likes the over the ocean quiet, luxury . not a bunch of ill behaved screaming kids, just not my idea of a vacation and let's face it mommy deserves one too, right?)and kids( who ..well just want fun)!! Granted our kids are pretty mellow ,however, if there were the other, the waves are so loud it would drown the occasional melt down out . So if you are honeymooning ,no worries cannot hear your neighbors. This was our 3rd time back!!! Nowhere else on the island can you have the luxury and be right over the ocean w/ a pool . At night sleeping to the waves crashing down below. Tradewind breezes through the condo so no air needed...beautiul infinity pool over the ocean . Walk down w/ the kids to the seaturtles and great snorkeling!!!! Kids beaches a 5 min. ,if that ,drive w, playground or a 5 min. walk to a good beach. Parrish has the best condos at this resort very well appointed w/ everything incuded right down to step stools for the kids . And yet the adults don't feel like they are staying at a kid resort!!!!! We feel like We are home when coming here and wish it WAS ours!!!! All the agents at Parrish have also been amazing ,easy to deal with.
Re: Review Whalers Cove, Unit 132
We found the location ideal and the unit was generally in good condition but a few issues are worth noting.
The unit does have the feeling of being dusty and the presence of the many air cleaners attests to the owners concern as well. It is my opinion that a big source is the many artificial plants, especially the large ones which are covered with dust. If the plants are retained they should periodically be taken outside and thoroughly hosed down.
Windows in the master bedroom are difficult to open and the left window was frozen in a half open position. When a Kona wind is blowing, the screens on these windows and the one in the master bathroom blow in. Retainers should be added for the screens.
As a suggestion, it’s time to replace the cushions on the wicker furniture.
Response from The Parrish Collection Kauai - 11/07/2008
We appreciate your taking the time to review your stay at Whaler’s Cover 132. We agree that the location is ideal. We wanted to let you know that the unit was scheduled for a deep clean to help combat the dust from being an open unit on the ocean, which includes a thorough clean of the artificial plants. Also, the windows have now been repaired and replaced (this was part of the homeowners association maintenance). Lastly, the owner is looking to replace the cushions once they pick a new fabric. Thanks again and we look forward to hosting you on island again soon.
