A path to Koloa Landing, Poipu’s most popular shore dive location with great snorkeling is easily accessed from the resort. A few blocks along the coast in either direction will bring you to beautiful swimming beaches. Going west you’ll find the white sands of Baby Beach, a great spot for children’s swimming, and to the east is the soft sand beach fronting the Kiahuna Plantation and Sheraton Kauai, adjacent to Poipu Beach.

Our stay at Whalers Cove was wonderful. The location is beautiful. Just a few feet from the ocean and the most awesome shower with a window to look out to the water. no beach at the condo but Poipu is a quick drive. We would certainly stay here again. Kauai is also our favorite island.

My husband and I stayed here during the second week of our honeymoon. The pictures online did not do it justice! Amazing ocean views right from your balcony! It was clean, quiet and well equiped with anything you could need (even beach chairs and a small cooler). The shower even overlooks the ocean! We snorkeled right in front of Whaler's Cove and saw several sea turtles and on our last day, saw dolphins while eating breakfast on the lanai. The pool is lovely and not crowded, just what you need to relax. The only negative is that we wish it were closer to a beach (Sheraton Beach is a decent 20+ min walk). Would highly recommend this unit!

It was a wonderful vacation and a beautiful vacation. We have been there a number of times and keep coming back. Only issue, it would have been nice to have blinds or drapes in the master bedroom as dawn does come a little early.

clean,great view, lots of whales, pool was empty most of the time which we loved. Barbeque area was not up to rest of units standards. Also like to see the kitchen better stocked with a few funtional pans and a broiler pan. The unit itself was very nice, spacious, clean well designed. Had a great time and would go back.

Really enjoyed our time at Whaler's Cove. The place was nice, very big, and had incredible ocean views (right on the water). The shower in the master bath is awesome with a huge window. Loved sleeping with the windows open. We had some kind of critter in our kitchen that ate some of our food on the counter (actually opened bags), but never saw it. As for the island in general, I'd stay on the north shore 100 times if I ever go back. It's fantastic. But, I'm not reviewing that, I'm reviewing this condo. It's a great condo, would recommend to anyone staying in Poipu.

This was our 4th time to Kauai (Po'ipu area), but our first time at Whaler's Cove. We stayed in unit 137 which was nice and fairly roomy downstairs. There were two upstairs bedrooms. The master bedroom was nice - spacious with a large bathroom. The guest bedroom was fairly large as well. Our only complaint is that there was only a small bit if air circulating through there (even with the trade winds blowing). A fan or aC would have been nice. Also, the beds were pretty uncomfortable; the sheets were scratchy, the mattresses were stiff and the pillows (there was only one per bed!) were lumpy. That was kind of a bummer.
Other than that though, the rest of the unit was great. More than enough dishes, cookware, etc for us to make fabulous dinners each night (we even entertained guests three nights). The TV was a bit small and awkwardly placed, but no big deal (you're not there to watch TV right?). The unit was ultra-clean, which is something we've had issues with at other properties in the past.
The only real complaint we had overall was the lack of access to a nice swimming beach. We had to pack up each day to drive over to Po'ipu Beach Park (normally we stay over by Brennekkes and walk to the beach). However, there is no denying that the view from our unit was absolutely breath-taking (you could literally see sea turtles from our balcony and incredible sunsets each night). As well, the pool at Whalers has to be one of the nicest ones on the island. Another benefit to the location is that it is only a short walk to Kukui'ula Village (where you can find a host of great eats and shops). -

It is a great place to stay. My only concern is when something goes wrong and you need assistance, it is not available. We had all our money locked in the safe and the safe stopped working. Parrish Collection told us we had to wait for the people at Whaler's Cove to fix it and they were not available for a day and a half.
It might be good to just rent this unit from Whaler's Cove directly unless a rental agency can guarantee 24 hour assistance if the safe stops working or any other problems that migh arise. -

We had a fantastic time. Beautiful views. Very quiet except for the waves crashing below us. The location was perfect with restaurants, shopping, and beaches all nearby

This is the second time we have stayed at this condo and we absolutely love it! The location is terrific - right next to the ocean. We saw whales and sea turtles while sitting on our lanai. The new shopping center a block away is a terrific addition to the neighborhood, which has a great grocery store with fantastic baked goods and an espresso bar to visit after our morning walk. We plan to go back whenever we can!

I rented this property on line and didn't know what to expect but it was everything and more. We had a wonderful time and the condo was absolutely great. Now to remember the first look from the lanai to the most wonderful bath essentials, oh my, what I wouldn't give to be back there. The folks at Parrish went out of their way to be there for us at every turn. If you want to rent a property this is the place to be and the best agents ever. Get ready to feel the tradewinds, watch the whales, taste the fruit, listen to the surf and relax for your time there.
