An initial payment of $1000.00 required within 10 days of booking. The full amount plus security deposit is due 90 days prior to arrival. Minimum 4 nights booking; one week minimum booking during Christmas holidays, unless calendar allows otherwise.

Our holiday season extends from Dec. 17- Jan. 6 with a one week minimum stay (2 week minimum if the stay includes both holidays). We divide the season into two periods with some flexibility on dates and length of stay. For the first week (Christmas) we ask our guests to arrange their departure date to fall between Dec. 26 and Dec. 28. This gives our second week guests a full week around the New Year’s celebration.

This is a delightful, cozy, and spacious home that was perfect for our family party of 8. It has a large kitchen with everything one needs, and a very nice deck with private front and side yards to enjoy the beautiful foliage and flowers all around. Beach towels and water sport items very available to use also. It is located a pleasant walk or short drive from the Poipu Beach areas.

We stayed here with 8 adults and 1 infant. Jim and Juliana prepared everything before our arrival and it was perfect! Large kitchen and dining room easily accomodated our group, and the location was close enough to the beach for easy access, but not so close we were overrun by tourists. It felt like an authentic Kuaui experience!
Amenities were exactly as described and super helpful!
If we ever go back to Hawaii, we'll be sure to stay here again! -

Excellent accomodation in a great location away from usual tourist areas. Everything provided for beach and snorkeling use as well as house needs.Great for overseas visitors like us. Owners friendly, helpful but not intrusive.
Great base for exploring Kauai and for relaxing.
Would recommend a car to get around the island. We hired and returned to Lihue airport and drove with no issues, even though wrong side of road for us! -

We had such a great time in Kauai, this house was perfect for us. It's in a great location, close to everything. But secluded too. The Cherry's are very respectful of privacy. The house has everything you may need from kitchen utensils to beach mats, bikes and snorkels. We will definitely be back to this house! Thank you so much!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the ala Muku Home in Poipu, Kauai. We were traveling with our teenage kids and another couple so we needed a place that we could all spread out. This place was fabulous and provided just what we were looking for! The layout was great; we had our bedrooms on one floor and the second master bedroom was upstairs at the other end of the house with plenty of privacy for the other couple. There was ample space when we were all together and all the rooms were very comfortable & spacious.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood that is about a 2-minute drive or 10-15 minute walk to Poipu Beach. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need to cook your meals and the grocery store was just a short drive away. They had bikes for use and about 10 different sets of snorkels, which saved additional money. We were able to find a set that fit everyone. They had plenty of extra towels for the beach, along with umbrellas, floaties and a cooler. Everything is there that you would need for a day at the beach. And the laundry area in the garage was great for drying out wet items and washing as needed.
It was lovely to come back from our adventures each day to unwind and relax in this comfortable home away from home. Juliana & Jim were very helpful and easy to work with on the rental. We had a wonderful trip and would highly recommend this house for large families or groups vacationing on Kauai! -

My husband and I traveled with our friends and their two (teenage) children. We wanted a place that was big enough to house us all and large enough for us to have space. We were so happy with the ala Muku Vacation Home! It had everything we needed down to space, kitchen details, games, bikes and all the beach gear you could want.
I would recommend this place to anyone! It is a short distance to a great beach that offers wadding, snorkeling and swimming. And the bed's were super comfortable to boot! -

We (all 9 of us) all loved our stay at this spacious and beautifully decorated home, a two minute ride to Poipu beach by car or on one of the six bikes available. The house had everything from a well stocked kitchen to a table we could all sit around at once to tons of beach equipment from chldren's sand toys to boggie boards and beach towels and chairs. The beach was great, with some of the best snorkeling on the island. Shops and stores were nearby in every direction. The owners were very professional and responsive to us.

I recently stayed 10 days here with my mom and dad, sister, my husband and our 3 kids. We loved everything about this home from day 1! It was super clean, beautiful and extremely spacious. One of our favorite things were all the ammentities like the washer and dryer, all the beach/baby gear, the bikes and the fully equiped kitchen :) The neighborhood was clean and the neighbors were pleasant, and it was awesome being only minutes from Poipu Beach and a great kiddy play area! The owners were super nice and helpful and the backyard/seating area was beautiful-it had 2 lounge chairs tucked away behind the house by the master bedroom's backdoor that was so nice to just relax in in the evenings :) The home is also close to 2 nice shopping malls, old Koloa town, the spouting horn and botanical gardens and more! We loved everything!

We stayed for a week in this great house. There were five of us, and the house was large enough for us to be very comfortable. Everyone kept saying how much nicer it was to be staying in a house, compared to a hotel, or even a condo. The neighborhood was quiet and very centrally located, for our purposes. The kitchen was especially nice, with all the conveniences and appliances you could want. The wi-fi was fast and worked great for all three of the computers we had with us. The beach equipment was used and appreciated. The description is accurate and I can't really think of any criticism at all - it was just a wonderful place to be based for our first visit to Kauai. We happened to be there at Halloween, and we had been warned by the owners that Halloween is a big holiday in Hawaii. We had a great time sitting on the porch and handing out candy (thank you Costco!) to over 250 trick or treaters.

We rented ala Muku as a group of nine friends on vacation for a wedding. The house was exactly as promised. The house itself had everything we needed to enjoy the nearby beach (about a 5-7 minute walk) including beach towels, boogie boards, and bicycles. The kitchen was very nice and had everything we needed to cook a couple of nice dinners. The location was great, with easy access to the south shore of Kauai, about 25 minutes from the airport, and close to a supermarket and some good restaurants (highly recommend the fish dishes at The Beach House).
Jim and Juliana were very friendly and, although they lived next door and were on call for any advice or questions, they let us have our own space. We all had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this house. -

There were eight of us that stayed here for a week. The house is exactly what is advertised. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beach accessories were wonderful to have on hand, and we even used the bikes that were available. The beach really is only two minutes away by car. We had two small children with us, and the beach nearby was wonderful for the whole family. The house was emaculate when we arrived. Jim and Julianna were wonderful to answer questions that we had, and they certainly made us feel welcomed. I would high recommend this to anyone traveling to Kauai.

We had a remarkable time at this Kauai retreat and we found this place just as the photos and listed information are described on the website - the stay was perfect for our family of 10, 4 families including 2 children and we had plenty of room. We especially enjoyed the dinning room set up that could handle all of us comfortably and the nice spacious kitchen for preparing meals. Really enjoyed the front deck and the back yard that are well landscaped and perfect for taking a break or eating a snack. The amenities of washer/dryer, bikes, and beach stuff also made our stay so comfortable and convenient as we had many trips to the beach - just a short walk or ride, and then easy clean-up when we returned. We had 7 days and wish we could have had several more days to explore all that is in close proximity to this lovely home. We would love to return to this part of the island and would definitely recommend this to families! Very clean and well maintained property!

Kauai is beautiful! Our stay at Jim and Juliana's home was wonderful. The home on a quiet cul-de-sac was perfect for our family vacation. The master suite on the main floor was perfect for my son, his wife and two children with a king bed and day bed in the same suite. My eighty year old mother enjoyed the "hula" bedroom, which was conveniently right next to the main bathroom. My 23 year old son and my brother were buddies in another bedroom which had twin beds. I loved the upstairs master suite with my own king bed and personal bathroom. It was great! You can easily prepare family meals in the huge kitchen, complete with up to date appliances...if you like coffee, there are three coffee pots! A large dining room table offers a great place to dine, or play board games/ cards later in the evening. The home is conveniently located 1/2 mile from Poipu beach. Easy walk. The roosters are plentiful, and we were amused by the "rooster relief" ear plugs left on the night stands beside each bed. :) Nice touch! The living room was large and comfortable, with two love seats and a sofa, along with TV, DVD and CD player. The garage was easily accessible with a convenient washer and dryer, six bicycles for guest use, boogie boards, and an array of beach toys, beach towels, beach mats, coolers, etc. This place left you wanting for nothing! The onsite owners are very available, should you need anything. Another nice touch was the offer of fresh bananas and limes which grow on the property. My daughter-in-law made a limeade, from the fresh limes, that was enjoyed. I was a little leery about traveling across the country with seven others, to stay in a home that I had never seen, (other than photos) that I had rented online. Needless to say, once we arrived, all of my fears were replaced by comfort, cleanliness and excitement of our week ahead in beautiful Kauai. Thank you, Juliana and Jim for our wonderful place to stay!!
