      Wonderful stay in Kauai!

Left on 12/03/2012 for a stay in November 2012

We had a wonderful stay in Kauai. The property is in a fabulous location. The gardens were beautiful and provided privacy. My daughter and I enjoyed the 1.3 mile walk to Lappert's every morning for Kona blue coffee. The sounds of the ocean lulled us to sleep every evening. The breezes kept us cool and comfortable without air conditioning. We would recommend this property to family and friends.

Relax and Forget about the Rest

Left on 07/25/2012 for a stay in July 2012

This vacation rental was fabulous in every aspect. While it doesn't have air conditioning (which we didn't know when signing up), it is extremely comfortable with the windows open and fans on. The sound of the waves was a constant relaxing sound. Very clean and comfortable! Management was very helpful in helping us find tennis courts to use.

The only issue with what would have been a terrific stay was the loud "COCKLE DOODLE DOO"! every morning, like clockwork, from 4am to 6am right outside the master bedroom. Despite many suggestions from locals and attempted solutions ranging from earplugs to rum soaked bread, nothing worked for more than 30 min or so. Most in the house just prepared to endure, then eventually fall back asleep. Kauai needs to get these overpopulated pests under control. This problem turns an A+ visit into a C-

      A Wonderful Vacation Spot

Left on 04/14/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Always nervous when renting over the Internet this exceeded our expectations. The house itself is well maintained and equipped and the views were spectacular. It was incredibly peaceful to be able to sit on the patio watching the turtles visit every day and the whales in the distance. Everything is close by from groceries and a great wine store to activities such as surfing, snorkeling and horseback riding. Great restaurants are also near. It truly felt like the perfect tropical getaway. Mahalo.

How many times can you say, wow!!!

Left on 02/14/2012 for a stay in January 2012

This place is awsome. The photos on the website were hard to decipher but once we walked in we were awestruck. Every day whales glaore, turtles over and over, we even saw a Monk seal cruise the oceanfront. In short we loved it more than we put to words. The kitchen was great the baths also and having the large patio to lounge on no matter where the sun was located was fantastic. I only wish that frank had fixed the light in the pool. That would be the only suggestion. We walked nearly daily to the beach a short 10-15 min. and swam with some of the most friendly ocean dwellers I have ever seen. There were shops nearby and house was quiet for those romantic evenings alone. What a refreshing experience. Mahalo from Mark and Jeanine

      Christmas and New Year 2011

Left on 01/03/2012 for a stay in January 2012

Villa lived up to expectations with regard to location and space. Kitchen, bathrooms and laundry were all well equipped, subject to comments below. Did not hear from the agent except when we requested a new kettle! For the rental price we would have expected the pool to be heated, so cold it was not used in two weeks, and the hot water to be turned on, not requiring us to go on a 45 minute search for the reason why there was no hot water upon our arrival. The villa is "tired"; it needs a new kitchen, new bathrooms, screen replacements, and other updates to bring it into the 21st century. The property is for sale; this may explain why no money is being spent on up renovations.
Great location, short walk to beach; but charging top dollar, without the back up.

      Fabulous family vacation

Left on 09/01/2011 for a stay in August 2011

My husband, 3 children, and I stayed here for 11 days in August, and it was truly the perfect house. The layout was terrific-- plenty of space, beautiful furnishings, gorgeous views from every room. The grounds were perfectly maintained, and it was pure
luxury to sit on the patio in the mornings watching the waves crash while the kids swam in the pool! The location was terrific-- 5 minutes to Poipu, shops, beaches, restaurants, etc, but the grounds and house design felt very private! Sitting in the back yard,
you felt as though you were on your own private piece of the island. The house was immaculate-- it was truly a piece of heaven!!!

      Great"Garden Isle" Getaway

Left on 07/28/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Stunning peaceful seascape where the days are sun drenched, breezy and lulled by singing birds. Sitting on the pool deck reading, playing cards or watching the sea turtles frolic in the waves with a Pina Colada in hand is my idea of time well spent. The yard is layered with Orchids, Bird of Paradise and all types of beautiful foliage indigenous to Hawaii. Hike up the road about a half a mile and you'll find more fabulous foliage at Allerton Botanical Gardens. Take a look around their gift shop for that special piece of memorabilia and be sure to find the Monster Taco truck and enjoy some Mexican flavor Hawaiian style. Spouting Horn is located right across the street from the gardens. View this natural wonder and then visit the outdoor shopping pavilion. For the more adventurous there are numerous places to surf, snorkel, dive, paddle board, boogie board, hike, cycle, ATV tours and horseback riding all within a 2-4 mile radius. The sunsets are magnificent and the starry nights mesmerizing poolside at Ho'o Wale'a or at the end of Lawai Rd., just past Spouting Horn.
Wonderful wine shoppe and fish market in Koloa and the best Gelato located in Poipu Plaza!! Not to mention great dining options from $-$$$ and it's all good!
Ho'o Wale'a is our home away from home and Vicki Agor is our favorite realtor. Aloha
