South Bend, INBreathtaking!

Our island hostess met us at the house with a pitcher of Mai Tai's. What a welcome! It's a beautiful vacation home and with the snow we are getting in South Bend, Indiana, I wish we were there! I would highly recommend this home to others seeking a quiet location for a very wonderful vacation.

My family and I stayed at Hale Naia over Thanksgiving week. It was our first visit to Kauai and we enjoyed ourselves hugely. The house is perfectly located. A short walk left of the house brings you to a snorkelling beach which my partner and 9 year old visited daily. A five minute walk the other direction brought us to an upscale shopping center featuring great restaurants (Josselins, Tortilla Republic, Lapperts Icecream) and a natural foods store/restaurant. We spent quite a bit of time sightseeing around the rest of the island so it was great not to have to use the car on our designated 'local' days. The house itself had gorgeous views -- we saw turtles, monk seals and spinner dolphins from the lawn. The upstairs suite especially is fabulous -- light and airy with great surf views and sounds. Our daughter loved using the beach access off the back lawn to explore the tide-pools at low tide. And we loved being able to keep an eye on her from the house/back yard as she explored. One caution for families with toddlers is that there is an 8ft drop off from the lawn to the shore-line below, with only a very low wall (about one foot high) at the edge of the property. The lack of a wall made for a gorgeous, unobstructed shoreline view but it would be stressful for families with very young children. Christie at the Parrish Collection was a pleasure to deal with and gave us lots of good tips about where to eat and what to see on the island. The agency is a top notch operation and we highly recommend them.

Frankly, the best vacation my wife and I have ever had - solely due to the fantastic house. Wonderful location.
We really liked that only a sliver of beach was behind the home, as it kept the riffraff away for the most part. As such, was very private from neighbors due to nice shrubbery. Could walk down the stairs to the beach from the private beach entry when wanted. Fun to watch the waves crash against the beach wall during high tide, but then be able to walk on the beach most of the time.
House was modern, up to date and what one expects from a high-end rental. Fully stocked, including surf boards and bicycles. Nice kitchen. Truly first class.
Master suite is very nice. Views are panoramic.
Honestly, I hesitate to give this review as I don't want others to take any more available time slots.
The only thing the home lacks is a pool/hot tub.
The worst thing was the groady barbecue. Needs to be cleaned and a couple of the burners fixed - probably easier to buy a new one.
I'm not easily impressed, but this house exceeded expectations. Will return as often as possible...

We have traveled to Kauai numerous times in the past and by far this home was the best. The completely stocked kitchen (including spices for cooking and paper products such as plastic and foil for wrapping up left overs), the gas grill and utensils, snorkeling equipment and bikes in the garage, sound system, books, everything you could possibility include for a wonderful home away from home. And the location on the water with the secluded yard for relaxing made our stay perfect.

The Hale Naia was way above and beyond our expectation! The house was gorgeous and stocked with everything you could need. The view of the back laini was amazing and the sunset the sunset stunning. My husband snorkeled right our the backdoor and saw sea turtles, beautiful fish and a seal even surprised him for a swim one day. We watched whales swim by and local fisherman fishing with their nets right behind the house as well. It is the perfect place to either relax at the house or take plenty of adventures. We will definitely go back and stay at the Hale Naia

We enjoyed every moment we spent at Hale Naia. It was a beautiful place to come home to after fun filled days exploring the island. The location was perfect for us and the home was equipped with everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed the backyard area where we spent our mornings having coffee, our evenings sipping wine watching the spectacular sunsets and after dark gazing at the gorgeous night sky. We so appreciate the time we spent there and look forward to going back.
Maholo to the owners of the property and to the great folks at The Parrish Collection Kauai in Poipu. -

This home was absolutely beautiful and located on the most spectacular ocean front on Poipu. The snorkeling right outside the back door was great. The views from this home were fantastic. We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer. Keiko's restaurant and The Beach House were our favorites as well as a rafting tour of the Napali Coast and a trip to Hanalei Bay.

We had a great stay in Kauai, at Hale Naia, we rented this house for one week and got married in the back yard overlooking the ocean. It was beautiful! The house had all the amentities I could have asked for, all my family and friends really enjoyed themselves lounging around the house and yard. The outdoor shower was one of my favorites! My Jaw was dropped the first time we walked in, it was just so amazing! Thanks to the parrish collection for all their help, contacts, and really their hospitality will defienetly try to rent from them again!

This was our first time visiting Kauai and spent 9 wonderful days in this house. We loved it! The location, the setting, the interior and house amenities were fabulous. We had a great time using the kitchen and preparing our own meals if we wanted to. This house was centrally located on the Island and whenever we returned to the house we wondered why we ever left! For easy snorkling experience we could go to the beach in front of the house! This is truly a paradise! We would love to come back again!

Our stay at Hale Naia was better than I had imagined. The house is nicer than the photos online. It is spanking clean, new, modern and right on the beach. The upstairs bedroom is large, spacious and the view is panoramic. It even has an office space in case you need to check email. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more and one week was not enough. I would definitely rent this home again--beautiful!

This is absolutely the most beautiful home and location on Kauai. We rented this home for my 50th birthday and it surpassed our expectations. This home has eveything you need and more. My family will never forget this trip nor will I.
Beaches close by, surfers, sunsets what more could you ask for. The Parrish collection helped us with all our activites and made everything so easy. This home provides everything a family would need. We cooked in the most fabulous kitchen and ate our meals on the lanai. The views were unbelievable. The neighborhood was very quiet.
We found nothing wrong with this property and our stay with the Parrish Collection. -

Left on 08/24/2008 for a stay in July 2008
we very much enjoyed our stay at Hale Naia in Poipu. The house with the beautiful interieur (great style) is well located in Poipu, and offers spectacular views and some nice visitors in the evening (see turtles). It is a high quality house with everything available you need to feel at home. From kitchen equipment, music dolby sourround to beach towels. The access to the beach is great. You hardly want to go out in order to enjoy more of the property.
WE very much recommend the Hale Naia, which gives you privacy and at the same time quick access to interesting places on the Island.
We would like to come back again (we are from Europe) and will defenitely book that property again!

This is the second property managed by the Parrish Collection that we have rented and it did not disappoint us. From the minute we walked in the front door, we knew that we were in for a treat. You could see right out the back doors to the ocean in all its splendor. The sound of the crashing waves put us to sleep at night and woke us in the mornings.....there was a wonderful beach just a few steps away and we fished right in front of the house. We spend two glorius weeks there and certainly would rent it again and again. The island of Kauai is our personal heaven and this house just added to our enjoyment of this wonderful place.

Great vacation house for families with young kids.
Left on 08/19/2008 for a stay in July 2008
We stayed at Hale Naia for a week in July, and we had the best vacation ever. We have two young boys, 2 and 6, so we preferred to stay at a house that has a full kitchen. The house had all the amenities that made our stay here very comfortable. Not only was the house comfortable, but it was also very luxurious. My husband who wants only the best was very satisfied with every single aspect of the house. Being a few steps away from the "private" beach was just awesome and so convenient. The island of Kauai was so beautiful and laid back. We have been to Maui before, and we thought it was way too busy. Staying here Hale Naia in Kauai, we found everything we wanted from Hawaiian vacation. We will be back.
