Perched on a crater overlooking the Poipu Resort area, yet close enough to walk to both Poipu Beach and Shipwreck Beach, this home offers it all.This home also offers an additional unattached fully stocked two-bedroom guest home, offering accommodations for an additional four people.Located directly behind Hale Hapuna, this two bedroom two bathroom guest house may be rented along with the Hale Hapuna main home.There are 3 beaches within a 10 minute walk or a few minutes’ drive; Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach to the west, perfect for swimming, (with a separate lagoon for young children), snorkeling, surfing and beach parties. Shipwreck Beach to the east, is best for experienced swimmers and surfers. The short walk along the coastline is breathtaking.

  I just got back from a 10 day trip to Kauai with a group of friends. We rented the main house. This description says 2 beds/2 baths but that is for the small house next door. This one has 4 bedrooms/4.5 baths. The 4 bedrooms are downstairs. Room 1 has a king bed; room 2 a queen or double; room 3 has 3 double beds and room 4 has 3 double and 2 twin. We were a group of 8 so had plenty of room to spread out. The upstairs is mostly 1 big open room. There is a nice kitchen, 10 person dining room table, and two seating areas.
  Down 'under' the house there is also a 'carport' area, probably room for at least 2 cars, but it's blocked off, you can't park. There is also a laundry room with a very nice washer & dryrer, and a 2nd fridge, that we didn't use. There are 2 more shower rooms, great places to wash up when coming home from a hike or the beach so you don't track sand into the house.
  The lanai is also wonderful. It wraps around 2 sides of the house. Plenty of chairs and several tables. You can choose where you sit according to which way the breeze is blowing. We spent most mornings on the lanai drinking coffee and watching the whales spout and breach off Poipu Beach.
  It's an easy walk to both Poipu and Shipwreck beaches. There are also several places to watch turtles, particularly just before Shipwreck.
  The house is well supplied, just stop in Lihue and pick up some groceries in case you feel like cooking :-).
  We did have an issue with one of the showers, turned out it was a broken valve, which can happen to anyone. I emailed Pat at Parrish about it in the morning, and it was fixed when I came back in the afternoon. They were very responsive, which we appreciated. The gardener usually comes by on Saturday or Sunday, he was very nice too. And someone comes by and picks up the garbage so you don't have to put it out on the edge of the driveway.
