The historical Chateau de la Flacelliere is located in the Western Loire and is available for booking by the day, the week, the month or longer. Both of the magnificent Pavilion and Keep buildings next to the main chateau are available for self catering lets and can be hired together for groups of up to 22. The Pavilion can sleep up to 12 guests and the Keep 10. Each has a private garden with exotic trees and flowers, a barbeque area, dining terrace and plenty of garden furniture. The extensive grounds of the estate house a swimming pool (for guests use) and superb manicured gardens. Please note that the chateau itself cannot be rented on a... self catering basis.

Pavilion The Pavillon is an independent wing of a medieval Chateau Flacelliere, integrating an ancient defensive tower which was transformed into lodging in the 17th century.The accommodation has a ground floor and a first floor. Ground Floor: - The large dining room is in the corner tower. Do note the remarkable "canoniere", an opening in the thick walls dating to the 15th century from which the castle could be defended. - The dining room has a table for twelve settings and opens onto the exterior. - The kitchen is largely open plan (American style kitchen)with the dining room and is well equipped. - A guest toilet and sink are in the entry hall. First Floor: - The living room is in the corner tower, with wood beams and an ancient stone chimney. Five Bedrooms: - Alcove: double bed accommodation (160cm x 200cm), shower and WC. - Charette: double bed accommodation (160cm x 190cm), a sofa bed and sink. - Rose: double bed accommodation (160cm x 200cm) with en suite bathroom. The beds can be transformed into twin beds. - Trianon: small accommodation with a bed (120cm x 190cm), and it shares the bathroom with the Rose room. On a half floor you have a family room with a large bed and a canape for 2 children, small shower and WC. Keep The Keep (a medieval tower) spacious medieval keep, dated from the 11th century offers refined and bright suites. The waxed parquet floors and family antique furnishings are combined with discrete and modern comforts in harmony with the history of the property. Fine linens and top quality bathrooms. The keep has 4 levels which you reach by a large granite staircase, quiet easy to use. Expansive views of an idyllic landscape of gently rolling hills, woodlands, pastures, old stone houses, cultivated fields and also an ancient tower Ground Floor: Entrance and a medieval dinning room with antique tapisseries on the walls and a gothique renaissance fireplace. Nearby a well equipped kitchen for 10 persons which a splendid view on the charming, sheltered french garden , enhanced by colorful flowers and a trellis laced with climbing roses and on the hilly Bocage First Floor: The medieval suite for 2 persons will enchant the guests who are looking for medieval period. A splendidly painted domed ceiling. Large four poster bed of 160cm x 200 in suite with a bathroom with an Italian shower, a bathtub and a separate toilet. The view from the bathroom is romantic. Second Floor: The Maillé suite for 2 or 4 persons. An apartment with a large double room , a king size 4 poster bed with nearby another smaller room with 2 poster bed ; single beds and in suite a large bathroom with two sinks,a bath tub,a separate shower and 2 toilets.( The king size bed can be separate into single beds.) Third Floor: The Belle Ecossaise suite for 2 or 4 persons. An refined apartment with a large double room , a king size bed with nearby another smaller room with a king size bed and in suite a large bathroom with two sinks,a bath tub with shower and a separate toilet. (The beds can be separate into single beds.) Outside Grounds Each property has a private garden with exotic trees and flowers, a barbeque area and plenty of garden furniture. We recommend you enjoy a picnic by the pond! Also within the grounds of the estate you will find the swimming pool with sun loungers. You will find ample parking in front of the Chateau.

*Please note, locations shown on the maps are approximations only There is a village close by where you will find small shops and a supermarket. There is also a bank, cash machine, a doctors clinic, chemist, restaurant, café which is in Pouzauges 7km away. There is a tennis court in the village which is within walking distance. There are excellent golf courses and horse riding possibilities within 25 minutes of the castle. Nantes International airport is 70km away. Trips to the famous Loire chateaux and vineyards are of course possible.

Should you wish, you can also enjoy fine gourmet dining with the Viscount and Viscountess in the main chateau. Exquisite table settings, antique silver, sparkling crystal, fine porcelain and fresh flowers from the chateau garden will adorn the table. Facilities available for weddings, special events, honeymoon, seminars, etc. Wedding at Flacellier Entire Estate - Reception fees for a wedding in the castle area (maximum of 30 guests). This includes the rental of the reception garden, the stainglass gallery for the dinner and the dancing area in the vaulted gallery, chairs, table and table cloth : 1000€ - Dinner in the castle prepared by our chef: from 60€p/p - Cocktails with 6 canapes and champagne, Martini, Gin, wine, etc: 20€p/p - Open bar after dinner: 20€ p/p - Wedding cake, a reproduction of the castle in nougatine and choux pastry priced accordingly to the number of guests and number of towers: 10€ p/p - Wedding ceremony in the chapel of the castle or grounds: form 50€ - Blessing with a ceremony lady: Reading the text in English: 100€ - Maid or babysitters: around 15€ p/hour - Optional musicians, violinist, harpist: from 300€ per musician + meal. - Accordeonist: from 100€ - DJ: from 600€ - Horse drawn carriage with 1 or 2 horses: 450€ - Fireworks on request. - Taxi transportation, hire car, bus on request and round trips possible. - There is a nice restaurant within walking distance in the village. It is ideal for a wedding rehearsal dinner or group dinner the night before. The Pavilion has a telephone and the phone bill must be settled before you leave the castle.
