Description from the manager
Finca Ros y Trota is a beautiful Mallorcan country house with luxury throughout. It's an old olive farm, restored and redesigned as a family retreat, with a sauna and an outdoor heated swim-spa pool (in addition to the large swimming pool) and tennis court. It has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms and all the rooms are bright and airy with elegant antique furniture.
The villa is in a private location - set down a long track off from the main Palma road and surrounded by fields, farmland and wooded hills. Beaches, a golf course, and the town of Pollenca are just a few minutes' drive from here. For larger groups of up to 22 people on ho...Read more

Stirling, United KingdomNice but some things let it down

Positive's - Absolutely gorgeous villa, beautiful gardens. Bedrooms are all good sized with plenty of en suite bathrooms which is important for a large group of people. Pool setting lovely and the grounds big enough that if people wanted space away from the crowd they could do this easily. Close to Pollenca/Puerto Pollenca/Supermarkets if you have a car. Villa lay out well thought out with interesting nooks and crannies which give it a nice rustic feel. Surrounding farmland nice.
Negatives - lot of road noise from the busy main road not far from the villa which reduced the feeling of relaxation if you're not used to traffic noise, kitchen appliances sub standard which makes it difficult for a large group e.g. dishwasher filthy and does not clean the dishes well, toaster very small and only does 2 x slices at a time which is useless for a large group. Not enough shade provided at the pool. Take plenty of insect repellant as lots of biting insects. If you don't like the noise of farm animals this place is not for you (though I found them lovely to have around - sheep, pheasants, goose & Cockerel) Many of the lights need bulbs replaced which was annoying when using the central table. Men frequently appeared in the garden without warning e.g. gardener and someone who seemed to be the local farmer or owner and seemed to be just looking around. I found this very intrusive and could be unerving for people who have booked specifically for privacy. Hot tub didn't work properly but enough to still be pleasant. -

Lancasterlovely bedrooms, poor quality kitchen appliances,no outside shad

We stayed here in a family group of 11 in august. Having paid much more than before with villaparade, we were disappointed by this villa which did not represent value for money. There was nowhere to eat outside in the shade and only one parasol by the pool.No seats by the pool for older people only loungers.
The coffee maker was broken and the dishwasher wasn't working properly which resulted in all the pots being grubby. The toaster provided 2 slices of toast per time for 11. The previous people's chips were still in the oven. All this was reported to villa parade staff on monday but no further contact was received.
This said, the villa has beautiful bedrooms, ensuites, and gardens.Presumably they assume you bring servants to use the kitchen! -

Bit disappointed I'm afraid

Booked through Villa Parade many times and this villa did not live up to my expectations. It looks so fantastic in the photos and perfect for a large group of friends. I think the outside of the property is what let's it down the most. Pool area is a joke, awful old sun beds, one umbrella between 14 people! No where to sit and eat whilst overlooking the pool either, always needed when you have children. In fact there was no proper outside dining area full stop and no where during the day to eat in the shade. Could have all been designed much better.
Inside the property is more impressive, very large and bedrooms are spacious. The property was not very clean when we arrived, the cleaners just give the place a quick sweep and spruce up but it really needs a deep clean particularly in the kitchen area which was pretty dirty when we arrived. We should have complained at the time but when you are in a large group you don't really want to be the one to start the holiday off on a bad note. However three people in our group immediately came down with stomach bugs and I swear it was from the grubby kitchen. You expect much more when paying that amount of money. if you paid £5k a week for this villa you would be very upset I think! there was also some road noise when outside as you are fairly close to the main road into Pollensa.
However as a place to stay Pollensa is fantastic and we have visited many times, great restaurants and a really lovely town. Not too keen on the port, it seems to get worse each year, but the old town is beautiful. -

We were lucky enough to be invited to share a holiday in the villa with our friends Paul and Nikki, their little boy Ben, and their friends and relatives. The villa itself was a marvellous space with lovely rooms, sitting and dining areas, good kitchen, super pool and a good sized hot tub. Listening to the Scops Owl at night, watching a Hoopoe family nesting 10 years from the property in an Olive tree were just added extras to a great relaxing holiday at the north of the island away from the tourist hoards in Palma.
Only little negatives - quite a lot of road noise from the main highway to Pollenca, and the hot tub didn't fully work, but was perfectly usable all the same. Nothing which would put us off staying here agin in the future.
Would recommend as a good place for an extended family or large group of friends to share a holiday - there were nine of us but we never felt crowded - there was plenty of space for all of us to have some privacy if we wanted it.
