"SPOLETO SPLASH" IS THE STAGE NAME OF THE PRIVATE VILLAGE OF ACQUAIURA, CONSISTS OF 5 COTTAGES, EACH WITH EITHER ONE OR 2 BEDROOMS, SET IN MAGNIFICENT, EXTENSIVE, PRIVATE GROUNDS WITH A GAMES/FITNESS AREA.

Bought by a wealthy Roman, the tiny village now consists of 5 luxury suites, restored to the highest standard and equipped with everything you can imagine that befits a mediaeval setting.

Each suite is at a discreet distance from the other and has its own private garden and/or terrace. This arrangement ensures maximum privacy for all the guests. And, none is more than a 1 minute walk to the large pool.

To date, Aquaiura has been a secret place for world famous celebrities, seeking solace and discretion. Now, however, Borgo Aquaiura has been launched onto the holiday rental market so that you too can experience living like a celebrity – but, not at celebrity rates. Go on, pamper yourselves!

CASA PISCINA :

Casa Piscina is a cute cottage, encompassing a large private lawn, with 1 double bedroom/ensuite in a master suite at right angles to the living area, consisting of 1 sitting/dining room with a fully fitted kitchen (in dish-washer), a bunk bedroom and a shower room. Steps at the side of Casa Piscina lead directly to the pool - hence its name !

Rome is 1 hour, Spoleto just up the road !

The mediaeval, pedestrian city of Spoleto that predates Roma is 7 miles away, along the beautiful Flaminia. Here you will find a private tennis club that welcomes day memberships, several gyms, amongst which Unique is the best, and, a little closer to you, fabulous riding stables, where you can participate in moonlit, mountain hacks or simply train in the paddock.

We also offer a range of services, from a diversity of cookery classes : peasant dishes eg sausage and cheese making, high class truffle and porcini dishes, pizza and pasta making etc, picnic treks with a donkey, truffle hunts and chestnut gathering in pretty woods, then, cooking and eating alfresco, dining at a chef's home at whatever level you require, including sampling an olive oil, the best in Italy that was blessed by the current Pope in recognition of its worthiness.

Importantly, we have ensured that all these activities are done "in-house" within our small partnership group, thereby, undercutting by a long chalk, the often exorbitant rates charged by independent "activity" businesses, who rely on these activities for their living. For us, such activities are "add-ons" to ensure the perfect Italian holiday; we charge no commission; and, our partners are able to work on minimal profit margins because of the volume of guests that we, Umbria Holiday Rentals, attract.

Having been in the holiday rental business for 15 years or more, our partners, some of whose ancestors owned and controlled Spoleto and Umbria since before the 8C, alongside our combined experiences in knowing how best to present culinary delights, accompanied by the best wines and olive oils, means only one thing. Lastly, in response to an enquiry, you will receive a list of restaurants, walks, bike rides and/or hiring, round trips, places of special interest, beauty spars, gyms, day trips with a chauffeur etc…compiled over the years, and, updated each year, on the recommendations of all our guests.

If you have a pet, it should be house-trained, quiet and well-behaved.
