This well-maintained, tropically landscaped, one-story triplex is nationally rated as a Superior Small Lodging. It's on the East side of A-1-A, just one short block to our award-winning beach with lifeguards. Miles of shoreline allow for long, uninterrupted runs or walks. Looking north, you'll see our fishing pier and lighthouse.

It is just a short walk to dozens of restaurants, shops, nighttime entertainment, public fishing pier, snorkel/dive boats, charter fishing boats, jet ski and boat rentals, gym, day spa, drug store, gourmet fish market and more. The closest 36-hole golf facility is a five-minute drive. I-95 is a 10-minute dr...ive for easy access to all South Florida business centers, attractions and shopping.

Sunny Place is very clean, and a White Glove Award-winner by the Superior Small Lodging Association. The 1/1 apartment is fenced and semi private with lush landscaping. Each one-bedroom apartment has a full kitchen with all utensils, cable TV/, phone/voice mail, free Wi-Fi, all linens, iron & board, family games, popular videos, books, beach gear, BBQ grill and more...everything you would find in your own home. A laundry facility is in the building.

Sunny Place is in the heart of Pompano Beach's oceanfront community, just south of Atlantic Blvd. on A-1-A. It is centrally located 15 minutes north to downtown Boca Raton, and 15 minutes south to downtown Fort Lauderdale. We are 20 minutes north of Fort Lauderdale International Airport, 45 minutes north of Miami International Airport, and 40 minutes south of Palm Beach International Airport.

Local Activities:

Water: Walk across the beach road to award-winning Blue Wave beach with picnic and play areas and lifeguards; snorkel and dive trips 3x daily; charter fishing boats, party fishing boats, public fishing pier, surfing, jet skis and boat rentals, gambling cruises.

Restaurants: some of the best restaurants in all of South Florida are a short walk or drive away. Dozens of really good ones, including waterfront dining, in all price ranges.

Shopping: walk to local beach shops. Enjoy the new Pompano CitiCentre with Macys, Sears and JC Penny. Drive to many high-end shopping malls, trendy Las Olas Boulevard, also Sawgrass Mills outlet mall, Swap Shop world's largest outdoor flea market, Festival Flea Market (giant indoor flea market).

Cultural: walk or drive to local establishments with live music, drive to world-class Broward Performing Arts Center, Discovery Museum, Art Museum, IMAX theater, nightclubs, dancing, comedy clubs, and all sorts of local and regional festivals.

For longer stays, every 4th consecutive week is discounted or free. Rates for holidays & special events may be higher. We accept all major credit cards.

A 50% payment of the rent, exit cleaning fee ($100) and 11% state and local taxes is required to confirm a reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. A $500 security deposit is due prior to arrival, and is placed as a temporary hold on the funds not a charge to the credit card.

*Rates are subject to change until confirmed. **Nightly rates include the exit cleaning fee.

  There are always pros and cons to wherever you stay. Sunny Place, Unit 2 is a wonderful small one bedroom apartment style lodging. It is close to all amenities, including the beautiful Pompano Beach only 1 block away. Leave your car in the parking lot at the apartment and walk to the luscious sandy beach with beautiful views and ocean breezes.
  
  The apartment itself is lovely. It isn't a 5 star however you will find everything you need there. All kitchen supplies, laundry facilities, free parking on site are supplied. The large private bedroom with a king size bed is a welcome surprise. We didn't find anything that would stop us from recommending this cute haven.
  
  There are some areas that can be considered opportunities for a better experience. The internet connection was beyond flakey. It only worked about 20% of the time. The connection itself was not the problem but either the cable supplying the service or the fact that the hardware is located in a humid, unairconditioned area may be the cause. But it definitely was an issue for us as this was a partial family vacation as well as a working vacation. If traveling on business of any kind this would absolutely not be adequate. We tried at various times during the morning, afternoon and evening. The connection was connecting but the service just did not recognize it.
  
  We traveled with our small son and found that the pull out couch looks and works just great until you pull out the mattress. It really could be updated so that the mattress doesn't fall when sleeping on it. I can't imagine two people sleeping on there. Our son slept sideways on the mattress to enjoy a comfy sleep.
  
  Other than those two obvious possible upgrades the place provided an excellent mini vacation for our family.

  Thank you for your nice review of Sunny Place. We enjoyed having you and are pleased that you found the apartment attractive, well supplied and in a good location by our beautiful beach. It is not typical at all for us to have Internet problems, and I'm very sorry that you experienced trouble with it. I think it was just a case of bad timing. We bought a new router to replace the one that had served us for quite a while, and feel that the many business travelers who stay with us can count on having reliable service as we've always had in the past. I was also not aware of the sleeper sofa problem until reading this review, and wish we would have known right away so we could have taken action to fix it. We like to keep all of our furniture new or like new. Please don't hold back telling owners when there is a problem, no matter how big or small. I especially take every concern seriously and prefer to take steps qulckly to more than satisfy our guests.
