300 m from the river Trieux, located at the top of a small hill providing nice views of the lovely landscape : the valley, the natural park, and the fields surrounding the house. You will love having a meal at the terrace facing south, or sunbathing on the small private terrace at the back. Very quiet area, no neighbours, almost no cars ...From our house, you can walk to the river, and to the famous castle of la Roche Jagu : you will love the castle and its huge park(free entrance) . Regular entertainments there .

Our house has an ideal centreal location to discover all the beauties of the Côtes d'armor; you take a different route eac...h day and yet never go more than 30 kms to discover all the touristic spots. If you want to go further on, to St malo, Brest, they are still quite near, as the double carriageway is not very far. The nearest beach is 8 km away.

When back from your visits, you will enjoy our spacious and comfortable cottage. As it is also our secondary home, it's very well equipped, nicely decorated, safe, and very pleasant . The house is ideally situated to visit this part of the beautiful "COTES D'ARMOR". It is indeed located near many of the following touristic sites:

-the castle of "La roche -Jagü" and its beautiful park,
-the beautiful river Trieux,
-the lovely little town of PONTRIEUX, 4 kms away, a historical place well-known for its festivals celebrating the places where women used to do their washing by the river, and for the steam train linking the sailing harbour to the city of PAIMPOL on the coast, providing on the way nice views over the TRIEUX river
-PAIMPOL, famous for its fishing harbour, its cockles and scallops, its oysters too, its nice touristic town center, its international festival of sailors’songs(beginning of august 05 )
-TREGUIER, an old religious city, on the river JAUDY, its famous cathedral, important market, monuments and little paved streets leading to the sailing harbour
-LEZARDRIEUX, fishing and sailing harbour)

- PERROS GUIRREC and the well-known "COTE DE GRANIT ROSE" (very special pink rocks!)
- the ISLAND OF BREHAT, a little jewel (so flowery and so much charm)
-the wild coast, and particularly the post-signed circuit leading to the site of "Le Gouffre" (the abyss)
-the SILLON DE TALBERT, a unique geographical phenomenon
-LANNION, GUINGUAMP, picturesque traditional towns
-and not forgetting the unique site of PLEMEUR-BODOU, with its "radôme", now used as a museum explaining the history of telecommunications(other places of interest in the area for rainy days!)

Sandy and rocky beaches : a large choice, scenery always different, particularly with the tide amplitude.

We 've chosen this house (bought in October 2002) for our children and ourselves, to spend part of our holidays. Nice, in a very quiet place, yet not isolated, a preserved area, with a nice view over the countryside, surrounded by fields (horses and various cultures), woods on the other side of the river, a terrace facing south, a nice flowery garden. It’s a functional house,safe, spacious.Very comfortable and well equipped. One extra-large bed. You will love the new bathrooms!
First bathroom: functional, tiled, with a tiled shower and a heater /towel dryer, entirely renovated in 2008
Second bathroom (2008) : with a sauna (latest safe technology), and a Jacuzzi-type hot tub! Modern decoration, all tiled, really nice!
Toilets (2008)are separate

SHOPS: in Pontrieux (3 kms), SPORTS: too many alternatives to enumerate them; of course canoe-kayak (river and sea), (club in PONTRIEUX)sailing, (club in LEZARDRIEUX and other places), fishing ( river and sea),horse-riding and golf, and others.... Numerous walks from the house and nearby.

I have entered a special rate called "canadian rate" especially for your 4-night stay ! Cheaper than the normal night rate ! there will be a tourism tax 0,5 euro per person per night (extra to pay on site)

  Parti pour un nouvel an au calme et dans un esprit romantique, nous n'avons pas été déçus. La maison, spacieuse et bien équipée, et située en pleine campagne, pas du tout de circulation, de bruit (les voisins sont loins!).
  
  La cheminée fonctionne a merveille, tout comme le spa et la balnéo (on y tient sans probleme a 2 ;-).
  Tout l'équipement nécessaire était présent, la literie confortable. Et si nous n'avons pu profiter pleinement du terrain a cause du temps de décembre, la situation géographique est idéale. L'endroit regorge de petits coins très agréables à quelques minutes de voiture !
  
  Si vous cherchez une maison tout confort au calme en bretagne, n'hésitez pas !
