This property is well suited to families or couples looking for a fuss-free getaway in the lovely village of Porlock. Centrally located in the village, you have a great selection of restaurants, pubs, cafes and tea rooms all within easy walking distance, as is the village bus stop which means you do not need to have your own car to make the most of the location - quite a rarity for Exmoor!
The property consists of a large double bedroom (with king-sized bed), two single bedrooms and family bathroom (shower over bath) upstairs. Downstairs is the well-equipped kitchen and an open-plan dining and sitting room, with patio door leading down... a flight of steps to access the private courtyard/garden to the rear. Archways is part of a development which was built in the 1990s, therefore benefits from double glazing and modern heating.
Archways kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, combined washing machine/tumble dryer , fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, electric oven and ceramic hob. Other equipment includes cookware, toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A television and DVD player is provided in the living room and wireless broadband is available throughout the property. There is a high chair and pressure fit stair gate in the property for guests with babies.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Archways is fitted with modern electric ecopanel heaters that are individually controlled and can be adjusted to suit your preferences. There is also an electric flame-effect fire in the sitting room that can be used to boost the temperature when required.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.
A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.
Archways benefits from a private and enclosed garden/courtyard to the rear of the property, which is accessed from the living room down a short flight of steps. Outside table and chairs means you can eat and relax in the privacy of this garden. Off-road parking for one car is available in the car park to the rear of the property. If you have more than one car there is a pay and display car park nearby.
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only (maximum of 2). A supplementary fee of £25 will be added to your invoice to cover additional cleaning costs. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave them alone in the property at any time.

We had a lovely stay in porlock. The house was nice with everything that we needed. We stay in porlock a lot but usually camping so this was a nice change for us . We really like the royal oak pub , the food is very good and at a good price . The ship right across from the house is very good as well . We did some lovely walks from the village which was handy as we didn't need to get the car out. Would defiantly stay in this house again .

Perfect location and scenery. Perfect accommodation with everything we could need. Perfect range of local amenities. Perfect price. Perfect pub just across the road with perfect food. All in all a perfect getaway and we definitely hope to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Mon-Fri break in Porlock. Accommodation located at one end of the High St so walked everywhere. The house was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend and stay again.
