Located within Geejam's property in Port Antonio, Sanwood was designed by renowned British architect Anthony Wade in the late 1960's and is distinguished by a contemporary nautical theme.
Sanwood, the original villa features three guest rooms (SW1-3), two upper deck verandas, outdoor pool, and media lounge, all of which provide a stylish, next-level living environment. A compact digital surround sound system exists in each room, going by the pseudonym of George, which allows you to view Apple iTV (offering an ever-expanding menu of movies to choose from), and play and charge an iPod, all in the comfort of your room.
The main room,... doubling as a media lounge, and featuring an audio/visual library and a private photographic and pop art collection from the likes of Geejam aficionados Banksy and Juergen Teller amongst others, is a place to work, play or recharge in the company of like-minded globalistas.
Geejam is an 'uber luxury' insider escape located in San San, close to Port Antonio. Nominated by Conde Nast Traveler's Hot List Hotels as one of the "top hot tables", the Bushbar follows the overall Geejam mantra of a grassroots approach to relaxation, restoration and reinvention. Whether it be for a vacation, a recording session, a photo shoot, a wedding, a honeymoon or just a fleeting getaway, you are invited to taste this uniquely modern experience. The legendary Grace Jones summed up her Geejam stay in the guestbook, by writing simply, "I came. I saw. You conquered me!"

Meals are served in the lushly exquisite Bushbar, complete with an ambient sound system, outdoor pool table and a forest-to-ocean view that expands the boundaries of even the most vivid imagination. The Bushbar features savory Jamaican and Asian-influenced dishes, which add a level of trans-cultural flair to the already globally infused kitchen. A highly trained team of individuals is ready to cater to your every whim in a subtle, friendly and unobtrusive manner. In keeping with the Island Outpost philosophy, guests are treated first and foremost like family.
Location Details:
The main international airport is Norman Manley in Kingston, which connects via an easily arranged twenty-minute private flight via plane over the Blue Mountains and along the contour of the coastline - a memorable experience in itself - to a local airstrip, known as Ken Jones. Geejam is approximately 30 minutes drive from Ken Jones. Helicopter transfer is also available and the helicopter lands 5 minutes away from the hotel. Geejam is currently a 2-hour drive from Kingston with the newly completed road, or a 3-hour drive along the coastal road.
