This brand new community is just outside the center of Port Aransas. It offers a fabulous slope entry pool, gas BBQ grills and is close to many of the restaurants, bars and shops that Port Aransas has to offer. Itis a single story unit that has two bedrooms both with king size beds and a queen size sleeper sofa in the livingroom. There are two full baths, with hair dryers, and the kitchen has everything you will need to cook your catch of the day. I was happy with the property until I discovered that while staying at a high end property, I was expected to not only provide toilet paper & garbage bags, but if I didn't take my garbage out back, I would be fined $50.00!!!! I have stayed many places & have never encountered this. I will not recommend this property for this reason.

In all seriousness, Ahoy Matey is a great little cottages to stay in on your trip to Port A. The building is recent construction, 2011 I believe, and it looks it. Everything is new and crisp, with none of that Texas coast decay feeling to it. The management company was a delight to work with, first the online reservations are easy and intuitive, arriving to pickup the keys at the office I found very friendly people who are knowledgeable of the area. Patrick is the guy running the show there if you are interested in any extras (like buggy rental) be sure to ask him, he knows where you can at least find a relative deal. (It is a tourist town, remember). The only reason I gave 4 stars on the location is because the property is a bit far from the beach, though you could still easily walk there in 15 - 20 minutes. I would gladly stay at this property again.

This was the second stay we had at Pirate's Bay and both times it was great. The price was just right and the place was great. It’s new, clean, and up-to-date. We will be back.

Great property. Had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Great pool for the kids. Quiet and not crowded, which makes a big difference in the quality of a spring break stay. Ample parking and great amenities like a private outdoor area and great outdoor shower. Would most definitely stay here again.
