The house was nice and we really enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The sound of the ocean was wonderful as you walked out to the deck. A great time was had by all!!!

We decided in August to have a family reunion for Thanksgiving. After searching many sites, numerous emails and intense reviews of what the state has to offer, I knew this was the house, in Lost Colony would be our meeting spot. Everyone converged on the warm and inviting home from hundreds of miles away, we were greeted by a completely functional house to enjoy, reminisce and share new memories. The home was everything we needed, wanted and expected, we hope to make this a family tradition, and this lovely home will always be part of that tradition. We appreciate the opportunity to experience life on the island in this wonderful house. The most important factor is that it is a rainbow friendly home.

The home was great for our family vacation/get together. The deck was my favorite part of the home, being able to sit outside and listen to the ocean and feel the cool breeze. We really liked the fact that it was only a short walking distance to the beach, so everyone could come and go when the wanted to. The house was fully equipped with small appliances, making it convenient for us. We will be recommending this home and the rental property company, who was really accommodating to us.

We had 2 families staying at the Casita del Playa (8 people) for 3 nights, and were very comfortable. The dining room table was the perfect size. There were TVs in every bedroom and the living area.
This house is a short 8-10 minute walk to the beach by the time you walk past the other beach houses that are sitting right on the dunes. There were about 2 areas that you can view the water from the Gulf from the decks at the house. The house is close enough to the beach to still get a nice breeze on the decks.
One note: There were 2 small/medium sized charcoal BBQ pits at this house. We brought our own, since it was not listed on the home description, which took up unnecessary space when packing.

Was great, much more then we expected. We will return as soon as we can. The house was very nicely decorated, had very thing we needed, we loved it. Just walking distance from the beach.

The house was wonderful...needed a few cosmetic repairs but didn't take away from our enjoyment of the house. Plenty of room for four couples and a couple of visitors. The management team took care of all our questions & concerns. It's close to the beach has a great deck and plenty of room outside for all of us while grilling. Every one of us want to return next year. I've already made reservations for June 2010.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in your beach house. The location was perfect proximity to the boardwalk/ beach. The house was charming - very tastfully decorated, thoughtfully appointed with all the extras one may need on vacation - spa foot scrub, a variety of great novels, good blender, etc. Loved the extra large deck for feeding seagulls and enjoying the ocean breeze and perfect spring weather! The bedding was super comfy, plenty of towels, great dining room table! We will know where to stay next time we come!
My only criticism is that it was not disclosed that the downstairs had no interior access from the upstairs. We had planned to put the kids downstairs and couldn't follow through with that plan. It actually turned out great because my parents enjoyed the privacy (and early morning quiet) of being downstairs and we were up with the kiddos. It was just different than I anticipated.
Again, LOVED the house and plan to be back again in the Fall! And Starkey made everything easy and convenient! Thanks to all!!
