Portofino is a lovely cottage located right in the middle of Port Aransas. It is an easy walk to most of the bars and restaurants. The lower level of this home contains the livingroom, dining, kitchen and a half bath. The room is decorated with a coastal flare and it is open and airy. There is also a screened porch off the back of the house that overlooks the pool. The up stairs has all four bedrooms and two full baths. My friends and I have been going to Port A for the last 7 years. This was our first year not to stay in a hotel. The condo was great and very clean. Plenty of room for everyone. There were seven of us. Will be staying there again.

Everything was clean and the location makes it convenient to everything in Port A. My only issue was that we did not have access to the garage, the pantry and a closet upstairs as these were all locked and could not be opened. Similar properties in the area seem to have access to the garage.

This facility is probably great for a young family or very mobile people. My comments reflect the views of an older couple with limited mobility.
1. Curb is to high and vehicle scraped paving going in and out. (Cheap builder)
2. Rock entry walkway not good for unstable walker. (Cheap builder)
3. Refrigerator door faced wrong direction. Not owner fault. (Cheap builder)
4. I actually had to laugh at the first motel we stopped at on our return home. After 69 days, I could actually see my face while shaving. The lights in the master bath are set behind the person using the lavatory, making shaving and I'm sure makeup application a problem. ( Cheap builder)
5. The 17 steps to the second floor were pure torture for my wife. Not anyone's fault, just old age. -

Had a group of friends meet here for the weekend. Everyone loved the place, the closeness to the beach and the pool right in our backyard. We're already talking of making it a yearly trip!

We had a total of 8 people in the house, there was plenty of room and very clean. Our only complaint is that the garage and pantry in the kitchen where locked and we didn't have access to them. It wouldn't have been such an issue if they had stated in the description that those areas where not included, especially the kitchen pantry, we stayed for ten days and had to store all of our food on the counter tops. Overall our experience was good.
