This beach house was everything and more, clean and well maintained. The elevator was very helpful, for some of the folks that stayed with us. The folks at Starkey Properties were helpful as well, easy check in and out. Would I stay there again, you bet.

We rented this home for an anniversary celebration. There were 10 of us including a toddler. The home was lovely with a lot more amenities than the basic requirements. The kitchen was well furnished with cookware, spices, and dishes. The elevator was great for the older of us with a bad hip. It was easy to operate and reliable. The master suite on the top floor was awesome! It was a short walk to the beach on the boardwalk. We would definitely rent this home again!

We had a great time, and the property was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come again.
The mosquitoes were really bad and forced us on to the screened porch, they seemed to be in the grass, so one step off the pavement could leave you anemic. The only other issue was we went during the memorial day holiday and the property was right next to the "adult" swimming pool. There was all manner of life in and out of the pool, from dogs to schools of small children, not to mention the adults who were loudly celebrating the holiday till 3am. This was a little more festive than we could appreciate. I do not want to end on a negative note, a little better enforcement of the "rules" and some pest control would have gone a long way to making the overall experience more enjoyable.
On the whole we do recommend the property and appreciate the hard work of those who maintain it. -

We really enjoyed our stay at the Redhead Lodge. We stayed the weekend when my daughter graduated from Tamu-cc and had our grown children and spouses. The house is roomy and comfortable and has everything you would want. The rooms are spacious and the elevator makes unloading and loading your car easy. The fridge was not getting cold and they were very prompt about bringing a new fridge for us to use. The management was very helpful. The beach was close and not crowded. We just had an ideal experience. We would definitely rent this house again.

The facility was very much as described, clean, spacious, stocked very well, and near enough to the beach, very nice neighborhood. Directions were not easily conveyed, if you were with the party that did not pick up the keys, there were no directions unless you specifically requested.

Great property. Have stayed in a rented house in Port Aransas for the Thanksgiving week for the last nine years. This equals or betters any we have stayed in. Well appointed and nicely furnished down to the dished and linens. Only complaint: First floor bedroom is very noisy when someone just walks across the floor in the living room above. Starkey was very easy to deal with. Certainly will look into this house for next year.

The house felt as if you were visiting a friend's home. I would give it six stars if I could. Everything was above expectations. Better furnished and equipped than any other rental on the island. The people at Starkey Properties were great to deal with.

We have been to many Starkey Properties in the last 5 years, but this was by far the best! The two large bedrooms were like two master suites so no one feels shortchanged. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at how stocked the kitchen was, and according to the survey the owners keep it that way. What a nice touch! The less I have to pack and remember to bring the better. Loved the bar around the kitchen everyone wants to be there anyway!

We absloutely loved the stay at Redhead Lodge. It was beautiful and everything we needed right there. It was a bit of a walk to the beach, but not too bad. I loved the layout of the rooms and the private captain's quarters downstairs. We would stay here again. The service was great and we had a wonderful time.

We rented the house over Memorial Day Weekend and had a great time. The house looks exactly like the pictures. Everything was clean and has been well maintained. The beach is very close, but was crowded on Sunday and Monday. If you go, drive your car to the beach early so that you can save a spot. If we are ever back in Port Aransas, we would definitely consider renting this house.

We chose this house because one person in our party uses a wheelchair (motorized). Yes, the wheelchair fits in the elevator with no problem. Yes, all the doorways in the house are wide enough. The downstairs bathroom has a roll-in shower stall with bench but it could use grab rails. There is a small step of about 2 inches to get to the downstairs bedroom and about 3 inches to get out onto the decks. The owner provided some ramps after we got there but more would be helful so all areas are accessible. Starkey was helpful and responsive to our needs. We liked the peaceful neighborhood and relative solitude of this section of the beach. There's not much view from the house unless you are on the deck so I don't think the ad should promote the view all that much, but we still loved our stay.

Finding a good, w/c accessable vacation home is always a challenge. The ground floor "Captains Cabin" was perfect. The bathroom has hand rails, and a roll in shower. The elevator worked beautifully, and made the visit enjoyable. We had 8 adults and 7 children, so the sleeping arrangements were tight. The home had blow-up mattress's that were helpful. As we looked around the area...I don't think there were anything better for miles and miles. This home is highly recomended.

The house was amazing. The supplies for housekeeping were more than adequate. We loved being able to take our pet with us and ejoyed watching her enjoy the beach as much as we did. It was great to be able to fix breakfast the first morning after getting there without really needing to go to the store first. I would certainly rent from Starkey Properties again.

We went to the coast with 2 other couples, one of which couldn't navigate stairs. Most beach homes are more than one story so we weren't sure if we could find something suitable. We were so lucky to find this amazing property. The elevator made it accessible to all! On top of that the rest of the home was wonderful as well. We enjoy cooking when we go to the beach and this home was extremely well equipped. I highly recommend this vacation home.

The home was very nice and comfortable.The elevator was fantastic[previously stayed in three story with no elevator] no sore leg muscles.Furnishings were nice and comfy.Master retreat was quiet and private with terrific bath.Access to beach by private walk was a nice bonus . I would recomend this place to anyone.

We spent a wonderful week at the Red Head Lodge Beach House. It had all the amenities we needed. We loved the 2 master suites as it allowed quiet separation at night and during naptime for young children. The place was decorated beautifully and the two master suites were extremely roomy. The kitchen also met our needs as we stayed in and cooked all our own meals. We loved the galley style kitchen and long bar where all the adults and kids sat to dine. The multiple decks to view the ocean and take in the sun and wind were great. The community pool was fun too. Not that big but still fine for us to enjoy away from the beach. The children LOVED the elevator and the ping pong table.
My advice is to bring your rake for the seaweed on the beach and keep the doors of the house closed as the wind will suck all the A/C out of the house and you have to wait until it cools again. Otherwise the place was great! -

Our family spent a wonderful week at the Redhead Lodge home and had a fabulous time! This home offered everything we needed including a ping-pong table for true family fun.
This was our first time renting a home instead of staying in our usual hotel --- we will definitely do it agin!!!
We had a slight problem with the air conditioning but the property management company expedited our issue and had someone out that day. Talk about amazing customer service.
I was impressed the pictures displayed on the Internet were an exact representation of the home. Actually, the home was prettier in person. And the master suite, like a vacation on it's own---spectacular!
I highly recommend this home and would love to come back next year to create more memories. Thank you!

Our family of 7 spent another wonderful long weekend at the Redhead Lodge in Port A, and I must say that I will make this our beach destination every year! We have vacationed in Port Aransas every year for the past 5 years and were lucky enough to have found this property last year. The elevator was essential for my mother who just had knee surgery and the house suited every need that we had! We grilled on the bbq every night and stayed up late playing board games on the spacious kitchen counter/breakfast bar. It was a quick walk to the beach if you cut right through the neighborhood and headed for the boardwalk. The outside shower was great for when we returned with sandy children! The staff at Starkey Properties was very professional and communicated well with me via e-mail & telephone prior to our trip--even when I asked for little details such as where we should exit for the closest HEB when coming into town! Very helpful & accommodating. The house is gorgeous and very comfortable. We won't stay anywhere else when we make our trips to the beach!

If you are tired of the unnecessary fees and cramped quarters of
the area hotels, give the Redhead Lodge a shot. We stayed there
with three other couples and it was very affordable (and this
was peak season, too).
The place was very stylish, very clean and was just a short walk
to the beach. The neighborhood the lodge was in was very
quaint and, simply stated, when it came time to leave, we didn't
want to go!
We definitely plan on staying here for future trips to the coast. -

We spent 5 days with our family from all over the country. It was a special time for us and we made some good memories. We relaxed and enjoyed each others company. The home was just as pictured, very clean and neat. The walk to the beach was a little farther than we expected and when you're hauling chairs, umbrellas, ice chests, etc. it makes a difference. We hope to return and stay again.

The house was even better in person. Plenty of room, and things to do. Beautiful decorating makes you really feel like you are on vacation. The room is exactly as described in the description, even better actually. Checking in and out was very easy. I would highly recomend to others, and will stay there again when we come back for a visit!!!
