Walk to beach. Large porch and kitchen. Clean and up to date. Plenty of parking. Great for a family gathering.

Kyle, TXChristmas at the beach
Left on 01/13/2010 for a stay in December 2009
This was a wonderful space for our family retreat. The living area was big enough for us to all gather in. With private bedrooms for naps and quiet time. Close walk to the boardwalk and down to the beach made our stay completely wonderful.

Katy, TXGood property

Houses were clean, well-stocked and quiet. Good location. easy access. Only issue: some ceiling fans were wobbly and one door knob fell off.

San Antonio, TXA fun weekend with friends...
Left on 07/05/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We had a great time in this townhome! We were two couples with two kids
each, ages 3 and 5 - total of 8 people. The downstairs entry floor was
mainly the kids' floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom w/ shower in
between. They had fun sleepovers there - nice enough bedrooms, though
perhaps a bit dated decor... There was also a kitchenette setup and laundry
area down there (we used the washer and dryer, but not the kitchen). The
middle floor had a master bedroom w/ bathroom (shower only), another
bedroom, a separate bath w/ tub and shower, living room, and kitchen with
breakfast nook. The kitchen was roomy and nice, but lacked for decent
pots and pans. The master bedroom was the nicest of the four bedrooms.
The living room had lots of comfy furniture and a TV, and had a balcony
outside that overlooked the neighborhood. The third floor was a large
bonus room with lots of sofas, tables, TV, etc... Our girls turned it into their
"secret treehouse" and it was great for them to have their own separate play
area. Everything in the house was clean and well maintained. Despite
technically being a townhouse and being attached to another home, we had
no issues with noise from next door. The beach was nice and clean, and
was only a short walk away, though we usually drove to accommodate all of
the stuff that little ones require (Port A parking permit required). We had a
wonderful, relaxing time and would certainly return again to this house! -

Austin TexasGreat Family get away
Left on 11/11/2008 for a stay in July 2008
My family stayed at this home in July for a family vacation. It was actualy more like a reunion. We had 12 people including infants and children. There was plenty of room and the kids had a great time in the loft. The house was just a short walk to the beach and we loved going shelling in the mornings. We will most likely be back again for future family vacations.

San AntonioWonderful Weekend
Left on 11/11/2008 for a stay in June 2008
We arrived in mid-afternoon. We had 4 boys and 2 girls (grandkids) in tow. The boys immediately found the 3rd floor and claimed it as their fortress. The girls found their own rooms, and we settled in for 2 days of fun.
Wifi kept the five oldest kids busy during indoor times, and the walks to the beach were easy and short. We went to the beach twice daily, then used the convenient outdoor showers before hitting the pool.
The open look and multiple windows kept the house bright and cheery. Despite a full house, we never felt overcrowded in any way. The kitchen was fully equipped and made it easy to prepare several big meals. The beds were quite comfortable. We arrived in 2 cars, and the garage accommodated both.
We had a great time. We would rent this property again in a heartbeat, and when we return, we'll probably ask for it again.
Thanks, Starkey. You've gone the extra mile many times to accommodate our needs, and we'll continue to call on you for our family vacations. -
Port Aransas Summer Renter
Austin, TXNice house, but ammenities were not as represented.
Left on 11/11/2008 for a stay in July 2008
Three couples stayed here with our kids this past summer. The house is conveniently located near the beach and is a nice size for this amount of people. However, there were no kitchen towels, cleaning sponges or dishwashing soap. There were not enough pots or pans to make more than one food item at a time.
The bathrooms did not have enough toilet paper, towels or washclothes for the amount of people the house claims to sleep. There were also no sheets, blankets or pillows for the pull out couch.
There was also a pickets broken on the upstairs living room balcony, making a hole big enough for a child to fall through.
The house was clean and updated, but needs to have enough necessities to make it through a weekend. If it can be properly stocked and maintained it is a great place to stay.
