Our family stayed here for a few weeks in February, 2013. The home is general is very nice, with a well-equipped kitchen and close to the beach. The neighborhood dune cross-over is quite long and many steps...would be a challenge for anyone over 60 or with small children...but there is an alternate sidewalk that goes out to the Beach access Rd. and then a short walk to the beach. Biggest drawback to the house is the living room area. It's furniture is very uncomfortable (a wooden bench with a flat cushion on it; no other comfortable chairs). The setup is good for looks, but very non-functional...especially for a group of people staying together. That's the main reason we'd probably not return to this particular house.

This was a great location for large families. We didn't actually use the boardwalk, just loaded everything in the truck and drove around the block onto the beach. The house was great, large very functional kitchen. The only drawback for us was the living room furniture was very uncomfortable.

I stayed here with a group of friends for a long weekend and it was a great house! Just a 10 minute walk along the boardwalk that crosses the dunes and you're on the beach. We would typically have 1 group take a car to get the chairs and coolers out to the beach in the morning then let others walk out when they like. The only complaint I had was the furniture in the living and dining rooms. My friends and I all agreed we had never sat in chairs that were that uncomfortable and it was really disappointing considering that was the only area large enough for everyone to hang out together. Honestly that's my only complaint but it was enough to make me look for another house for my next trip.

This house worked out very well for all of us. The location was so close to a walk on the beach. Dinners were a breeze to prep for all of us between the beautiful kitchen and barbeque. Plenty of bathroom space and a great laundry facility. Great outdoor balconies for intimte conversations or large games. We all had a wonderful time. Best of all I liked the closed coldesac,it made it so easy for loading and unloading beach trips and store pick ups. Everything was easy accessible including Sunday mass. The boardwalk was a little precarious with a few minor miss haps and getting up to it from the beach was not idle but, overall a great time was experience was enjoyed by all of us.

The home we stayed at was wonderful. Very roomy & perfect for several families to comfortably stay in. The kitchen is amazing. We did wish it had it's own private pool. The only real complaint I could say is that the living room furniture was not comfortable at all. After a long day at the beach, it would've been nice to nap on something comfortable. We would definitely look to rent this property in the future.

This is a beautiful, spacious house with generous porches that overlook
the Gulf. We found the house stocked with lots of extras to make our stay
more comfortable and felt more like we were visiting in the home of a friend
than renting. The kitchen is a dream if you enjoy cooking...obviously
outfitted by an excellent cook. Every kind of cooking appliance, a
wonderful collection of cookbooks and a Wolfe six burner gas range with a
grill and double ovens made this very large kitchen a pleasure to work in. (A
big disappointment was the condition of the grill on the stove. Someone
had left the grill a nasty mess, caked with burned on sauce and food scraps.
Though we immediately reported this to Starkey Prop., the promised clean-
up never occurred during our one week stay.)
Laundry room has very nice front-load machine and dryer. Plan to bring
"HE" laundry detergent, which is required for the front loader.
The house is in a very convenient location with quick access to the beach
or Port Aransas by car, but is also in a very quiet cul-de-sac.
The thing we liked least about the house was the very uncomfortable
furniture in the living area...especially the bench with a wooden back in
place of a couch. In a house that sleeps ten, the living area needs to seat
more than four or five. This did not diminish our enjoyment of our stay in
this house, but we did find it odd.
Highly recommend a stay in this house. It is a great place if you are
staying a week or more, because there is room to get away for some quiet
time or reading. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful home. Decks were enjoyable to use, and so many!
The bathroom showers were incredibly well done and the rooms comfortable.
The kitchen was well-stocked and user friendly.
