We had an excellent nights stay. The wood heater made for a warm cosy night. Facilities were very clean and had everything we needed. Our reservation process was very smooth and accommodating. Location was ideal for our stay and plans over two days.

Just wanted to thankyou for providing us with such a beautiful place to stay in Port arthur last night. After a long days travel from Bendigo, Vic, it was so lovely to arrive to such inviting accommodation. The sun was shining, the house immaculate and the views to die for! Our boys were very impressed! We lit the fire, walked along the sandy shore, collected shells and drank champagne on the balcony overlooking the bay! We had grabbed supplies from the supermarket in Sorrell on the way through and chose to cook a BBQ tea rather than eat out, to make the most of our cosy accommodation. After dinner we attended the Ghost your, woke up to view an amazing sunrise at 6am, then dozed back to sleep until 8.30! So peaceful! After visiting the spectacular Remarkable Cave ( just up the road, don't miss it!) we had an enjoyable day touring the Port arthur site. We travelled on to Hobart, then Launceston. Thanks again, your house is absolutely beautiful and we hope to return one day.

Excellent accommodation! Perfect location, very close to the historic site ( you can actually see part of the site across the water) and right on the water. It is a lovely spacious, clean home with everything in mind. We had two small children and with the main living area upstairs they even have a gate across the top of the stairs. A portacot, baby bath and highchair are all available for your use during your stay. We didn't checkin until late in the afternoon as we had driven from hobart and been to visit the historic site. We wish we could have stayed longer because it wasn't long enough to enjoy what this holiday home had to offer and the serenity of the location. Great value for money!

We can't praise Burilda Waters enough. The house was very spacious with great facilities, wonderful value for money and the position was just absolutely beautiful, overlooking the bay and The Isle of the Dead and Point Puer of Port arthur.
The owner was extremely helpful when a fuse had blown and we could not start the stove - he made sure it was fixed and even offered to pay for a meal if we went out and another night free, which unfortunately we could not take him up on.
We were very sorry we only had the one night - but we would definately stay there again.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my brother, sister-in-law and 11 year old niece in July 2012. The house has everything you could possibly want with a beautiful view and a big fireplace. We were so amazed at such a good find and only wished we were staying longer. I have friends and family visiting Tassie later this year, I know where we will be staying!

Left on 08/23/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We chose this house of the internet and we were very glad we did. It was clean cosy and convenient. The house is barely a 5 minute drive from Port arthur and offers a stunning view of the local bay. Being a cold weekend we were happy to find an abundance of heaters, electric blankets on the beds and a fire set if we wanted a toasty night in. It is a house that will accommodate lots of combinations of guests and my friend and I enjoyed having a double bedroom each. The owners were very helpful during the booking process and were willing to let us have late check out without any fuss. I would recommend this house to any kind of group as it offers enormous flexibility.

Left on 07/31/2012 for a stay in July 2012
From the minute I booked this accommodation back in September of 2011, I had a great feeling about what we would find and we were definately not disappointed.
Everything was done via the internet and all of the details and information were 100% accurate and the response time to my questions were great.
Being there in July, was definately cold and to have the wood fire was a huge bonus. All of the wood is stored in a locked shed on the property which is easily accessed with a key. The kids on both nights had toasted marshmellows and felt like they were camping, but much warmer. The board games and movies were an added bonus that just topped off a beautiful property, including the bottle of champagne in the fridge for us to consume.
There was a BBQ on the deck overlooking Carnarvon Bay which would have been great to utilise but being winter by 4.30pm it was way too cold outside.
Watchiing the sunrise over the mountains and water each morning was a great way to start the day.
As a family of 5 we actually found this property cheaper than staying in a cabin at the caravan park, so great value and so much room.
We wish we had stayed longer. -

What a lovely suprise. The house was fantastic value for money with lots of extra touches that made it all the more enjoyable and our best accommadation that we had found in Tasmania ( we stayed at a different venue each night). Great views and very close to Port arthur. We would definately recommend it to other Travellers and stay there again.

It is only few minutes drive from the Port arthur historic site. The home is right in front of the beach with no obstruction of sea view at all. The house has been built that you can enjoy this beautiful view in the lounge in the upper floor. There are almost everything you need for staying here e,g, oven, dish washer, double sink, quality dinner sets, entertainment unit and fire place.

Left on 02/23/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We travel a lot, but dislike the noise and "sameness" of hotels. So we always look for something a bit different, hopefully a place where we can deal directly with the owners.
Burilda Waters exceeded our expectations. It was quiet, well positioned and beatifully appointed.
We are happy to pass on our impressions and recommendation.

This is an ideal spot from which to visit this area. The views over the water are beautiful, especially at sunrise with the mist on the water and the swans swimming along. It is a short walk to Port arthur through the bush.

Left on 02/19/2012 for a stay in January 2010
We loved staying at Burilda Waters. Everything that we needed was there.
The house was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and nicely decorated.
We had breakfast on the balcony each morning, looking at the ocean only a few metres away.
The walks in this area are quite amazing. It's only a short walk along the beach to Port arthur.
One day we took a exciting boat ride along the coast, stopping to look at the seals perched on the rocks and many other interesting things along the way.
The fresh, unpolluted air and sunny days helped make our stay perfect. -

Our booking was extremely well handled with all information provided promptly and with a personal touch. House was extremely clean and the complimentary sparkling wine, (and chocolates for Valentines Day), added that extra touch of magic. The beautiful views over Carnarvon Bay and it's proximity to all the attractions of the Peninsular ensured a relaxed but active visit. Burilda provides excellent accommodation for four adults with double bedrooms and bathrooms/toilets on both levels. The views and privacy added considerably to the experience, our guests from the UK and Spain were mightily impressed. We could find nothing negative to report. We will be back

Left on 01/04/2012 for a stay in October 2011
We recently stayed at Burilda Waters and found the property very relaxing and charming. Our timing allowed us to enjoy the last of the cool weather and the wood shed was full of chopped wood for us to enjoy the flicker of the fire with the view to the bay across the road. The kitchen was well stocked with plates/pots etc which made for a pleasurable and easy stay not far from the historic site of Port arthur. As this was our first visit to Tasmania and we are planning another visit later this year, we will book in again to this very convenient/well presented property

Left on 12/16/2011 for a stay in November 2011
The house lived up to our expectations and more. It was very clean, very comfortable and our hosts have taken the trouble to add a couple of very handy items for guests to use. A pair of binoculars helps guests study the wildlife and the boat life as well as scanning the back door of Port arthur Convict settlement. You lean over the balcony and can imagine the convict ships arriving with their cargo of desperate people. Videos and board games make the the stay entertaining as well as restful. We are happy to recommend this accommodation and we hope to return.

Left on 10/07/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We stayed at Burilda Waters with some local friends and 2 friends from Scotland. Although the publicity states that the house can accomodate 5, there were 6 of us and the owners were happy to cater for us as there is a sofa bed downstairs.
The location is great with a wonderful view across the bay and only 5 minutes or so from the Port arthur Historical Site.
The house has everything you could possibly need and is extremely well fitted out and comfortable. We were extremely happy and couldn't recommend the place highly enough - just wished we had more time to stay an extra few days. -

Left on 08/23/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Burilda Waters really exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect - amazing water views and super close to Port arthur. It was a lot bigger than expected and allowed the children to have their own space downstairs whilst DH and I enjoyed a (rare) glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the water. Everything was provided (even down to binoculars for bird watching) and it was a great place to relax for a few days. I thoroughly recommend Burilda Waters and would suggest at least 2 nights to give you time to explore the area (there's a lot more than just Port arthur we found some amazing deserted beaches for the kids to play on).
