We had a lovely one night's stay here and we arrived with no booking. The room was well appointed and the hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Its is very central and convenient and we would definitely stay here again.

Macrossan House is the best kept secret in Port Douglas, it has everything,.Quality accommodation, location, clean friendly and a great location in the center of town. Best of all is the price, we have stayed in five star accommodation in P.D for $250 per night and this beats it hand down at $99 per night. The units are self catering and have a separate bedroom plus a balcony. Trev and Pip are fantastic, nothing is to much trouble for them, we highly recommend them. We shall definately stay with them next time we go to PD.

We stayed at Macrossan House for 5 nights at the start of May. It was a great base for doing stuff around the area and very close to restaurants and bars in the evening. Trevor, who manages the place and runs the information office, was very helpful. He recomended places to eat and companies to tour with all of which were excellent.
We didn't use the pool or barbecue so can't comment on that, but there is enough to do in and around Port Douglas that sitting by a hotel pool was never in our plans. -

We were very pleasantly surprised when we opened the door of our apartment, it was so spacious, light and airy, everything was there that we needed. We had a bathroom with shower and a large double bedroom with wardrobe space, a kitchen area with all the pots and pans etc. A comfortable lounge with large TV, a balcony, air conditioning. Everything was clean and ready to use. The apartment is a few minutes walk from a large supermarked, so we were able to self cater if we wanted to. There were bars and restaurants all around. Port Douglas is a very up market area and it's easy to make trips to all the places of interest. Trevor (the landlord) arranged everything for us before we arrived, so we were picked up at Cairns airport and taken back after our 4 nights in Port Douglas. I would highly recommend Macrossan to anyone wishing to go to Port Douglas, you have everything you need including washing and drying machines in the basement.

My partner and I stayed in the garden view appartment and we've had a great time in Port Douglas. Macrossan House is situated right in the middle of the main street so the location is very convenient : 1 minute walking distance from the supermarket, 5 minutes from the marina, 7 minutes from the beach.
The appartment was very clean and well furnished, ideal if you like cooking your own food. It had a confortable bed and we could not hear any noise because it was not facing the street.
The hosts were lovely and very helpful : they booked our cruises and tours for us, gave us good advice and were always available when we needed information.
All in all, we would definitely recommend Macrossan House for holidays in Port Douglas. Just make sure you are aware of the cancellation policy which is quite restrictive. -

We were so very happy in our apartment in Macrossan House. We were on the ground floor facing away from the street so at night time the only sounds were the birds who seemed to enjoy singing and chirping.Our apartment was really well appointed in every way and we had our own deck area where we ate breakfast and sometimes take-aways if we were eating in.
Nothing was too much trouble to Trev and Pip who worked really hard to make sure the guests were happy
We found the advice we got about tours to be exceptionally precise and very helpful.
Port Douglas itself was a joy. We hope to return some day -

I liked the friendly welcome and good advises of Trevor. The appartments are very clean and very good organised and have all the necessary equipment to make the stay a success. The location is excellent with the most important spots at walking distance.

Pip and Trevor were excellent hosts. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and very good value. Swimming pool was great. Close to all amenities in Port Douglas.
