    Reservations

Unfortunately we cannot hold dates for you while you confirm other travel arrangements. We receive many inquiries and respond to all with information that is current at the time. We must always accept the first reservation received. Reservations can only be confirmed by paying the deposit.

    Payment Terms

A deposit of 25% of the charges is required to confirm a reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to the arrival date. Full payment is required if making a reservation within 30 days of your arrival date.

Charges incurred by us on your behalf prior to your arrival will be charged to your account and settled when incurred.

Any other charges you incur during your stay will be charged to your account and settled on your departure.

    Payment Methods

We prefer all payments are made by direct deposit to our bank account. We also accept Visa and MasterCard (a credit card fee applies).

    Cancellations

If you cancel at any time and we can re-book your dates in part or in full, we will refund the value up to the value of the re-booking less our Standard Administration Fee. Unfortunately, however, we cannot give refunds if cancellation leaves the property vacant during your booked dates so we strongly recommend that you take out insurance that covers your pre-booked accommodation / function.

Check In / Check Out Times

To ensure Rainforest Estate is in pristine condition for your arrival, check in time is 4pm. We request you check out by 10am on the day of departure.

We will whenever possible, try to accommodate any special requirements you have to suit your travel arrangements.

The timing of functions will be discussed in consideration of our accommodation bookings and your specific requirements.

    Children

Well-behaved children are welcome at Rainforest Estate. We provide many DVDs, CDs, games, books and other activities suitable for children of all ages. We also provide cots, high-chairs and play pens for the younger ones (a small charge may apply).

While we do welcome children, Rainforest Estate is a luxurious property with quality fixtures and fittings and as such is not “child proof”. There are many things that are accessible that young children should not “play with”, so if you are uncomfortable or feel you will be unable to relax in this environment we recommend you consider a more suitable accommodation / function venue.

    Pets

Because the property is near World Heritage national parks with a wonderful variety of bird and animal life (some very rare or endangered) we cannot accept domestic pets of any kind. We can recommend nearby accommodation for all domestic pets if you wish to bring them with you to Tropical North Queensland.

However because large areas of the region are National Parks, pets will be very restricted where they will be allowed to go. We therefore recommend you find suitable accommodation for them closer to home.

    Smoking

Rainforest Estate is a no smoking venue to ensure the comfort of all our guests. On request we can set up an outdoor designated smoking area to ensure smells and debris from smoking does not impact the property or future guests. There is absolutely no smoking indoors or within proximity to open doors or windows. Failure to follow this policy will incur additional charges.

    Noise

We want you to thoroughly relax and enjoy yourselves in this peaceful valley. The property is in a small rural residential area, a predominantly very quiet neighbourhood with just a handful of medium acreage properties. It is not suitable for noisy parties or noisy outdoor activities that are likely to impact on the residential amenity of the neighbours.

    General

Rainforest Estate is a private residence and is available on a sole occupancy basis only. That means its all yours for the duration of your stay / function.

All prices quoted on this web site are in Australian Dollars. They are subject to change without notice.

Our family and friends are still talking about it

Left on 10/21/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We had our wedding at rainforest estate with about 40 family and friends attending and they are all still talking about this amazing house. The wedding day could not have gone more smoothly, with Christine and allen discretely taking care of all the little details both before and on the day, leaving us to simply enjoy the experience.
The photos of the house on the website are amazing but still don't do it justice and the beautiful colours of the garden and grounds shone through in our wedding photos.
We couldnt have asked for anything more and are looking forward to returning again for future anniversaries (as are our family and friends).

      Paradise!

Left on 10/17/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We stayed at the rainforest estate as a family group for our wedding nearby and had a wonderful experience. The house was just as it appeared in the pictures and was well equipped. The pool and hot tub were a big hit and the gardens were absolutely beautiful. The beds were divine and the bathrooms stunning. The indoor water feature was fabulous too, although because of this I couldn't recommend the house for families with small children for safety reasons, however as a group of adults with only a very young baby it was a lovely design aspect.

Christine and allen were friendly hosts and responded promptly to our needs whilst we were staying at the property. The check-in was a little lengthy for our tastes although it was thorough in terms of the operation of the key features of the house.

As you would expect a house of this quality does not come cheap, but we were happy overall with what we got for our money. There were a number of special touches that we much appreciated as well, especially the provision of a baby bath and cot to make our stay with our baby more comfortable.

If you are looking for a luxury getaway with all the comforts of home (and then some) this would be the place to stay. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer!

Sensational, sublime and the most amazing home ever !!!

Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Our wedding week at Rainforest Estate was magical and the most memorable week. Our first moments of the estate were amazing taking in the beautiful tropical grounds and then the house just blew us away. Our wedding guests were in total awe of Rainforest Estate and appreciated the hospitality of Christine and allen,, nothing was a dramas and our wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to Christines management. The accomodation at Rainforest estate was sensational while we were just a couple staying for the week a large group or family would be extremely comfortable in the extensive accomodation.
Rainforest estate is close enough to Port Douglas for an evening meal but far enough awy from the hustle and bustle to be relaxing.
It was extremely hard for us to say goodbye to Rainforest Estate but we hope to return for future anniversaries

      Luxury in paradise!

Left on 10/10/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We recently returned to Rainforest Estate to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The property is still as beautiful and as immaculate as it was on our last visit. The house and the gardens are just magnificent and create the perfect environment for an indulgent and relaxing break. We had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, be it an excellent coffee machine, a well-equipped gourmet kitchen or barbeque. Everything was quality and immaculately presented. The pool is amazing at a warm 30 degrees and we spent much of our time swimming or just sitting by it, relaxing in the sunshine and watching the birds and butterflies. Although it is difficult to leave the front gates, we did venture out to Port Douglas to sample some of their excellent restaraunts only a short drive away.

In 2009 we had the most perfect wedding day and honeymoon at Rainforest Estate and we could not have imagined a more amazing place to be married. Christine and allan were so helpful in assisting us with the arrangements and provided all the advice we needed to make the day run smoothly. Organising a wedding from the other side of the country can be stressful, however we felt as though nothing was ever too much trouble. Christine assisted us with all the preparations, recommending a wonderful photographer and caterer who both did an outstanding job. It is the perfect spot for the ultimate destination wedding and/or a private and secluded honeymoon.

We feel so lucky to have found the place and cannot recommend Rainforest Estate enough and we are already dreaming about our next visit.

      Something very special

Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in June 2012

I have stayed at this property 3 times now and each time I did not want to leave. The photos on the web make it look fantastic but really don't do it justice. It is just spectacular.

Our last group of 12 had plenty of room and plenty to do. There are lots of games, videos, music CDs and entertainment options, including a heated pool (great in June) and a hot tub. The only problem we had was doing all the things we had planned before we went. Once there, we didn't want to leave even for a few hours.

The house is very high end luxury, immaculately presented and you want for nothing. It has every conceivable luxury even a 15 foot high indoor waterfall. Even the pantry was well stocked with all the little things you need to cook up a storm including lots of spices and sauces and stuff. The huge kitchen was the centre of activity every night and we ate in a different place every night.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite so privacy is assured, even with a large group. It also made getting out, when we could drag ourselves away, quick and easy.

The lawns and gardens have to be seen to be believed. It was like living in the botanical gardens in Singapore with literally hundreds of orchids, gingers, heliconias, birds, butterflies and other wildlife everywhere. The gardens were seriously damaged by a large cyclone last year but have now fully recovered.

But the highlight is certainly Christine (and you too allen). She is a gem and always on call when you need something. Nothing is too much trouble, even when it really is. On our last visit one of the dishwasher drawers stopped working but Christine organised its repair within 24 hours. Try getting that done in Sydney.

Its not cheap, but certainly worth the money and impossible to fault. Our group will certainly return again, hopefully many times more.
