The Trigg is part of a building, known as Beach View, which was purchased by my family, who have always lived in the village, in 1870. Throughout the years it has been a complete property (known only as Beach View), in which both my mother and grandmother were born and grew up.

In the 1950’s it was been split in to two properties, the bottom one of which was rented out, on a long term basis until the early 21st Century, when it was renovated, renamed ‘The Trigg’ and made a holiday let in 2006.

It is decorated to a high standard, has under floor heating throughout, modern fitted kitchen appliances, satellite TV, internet...Read more

Additional Location Information

Port Isaac is the backdrop to many a film and the television series including Poldark, Saving Grace & Doc Martin and is one of the treasures of Cornwall. It is a beautiful fishing village nestled in steep sided valleys, retaining its charm by remaining unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in previous centuries.

The Trigg forms part of a residence that overlooks the harbour, opposite the ‘Pentus Wall’ in Fore Street and is situated within easy walking access of all the village amenities, including numerous restaurants & shops.

The working harbour provides a great place to swim when the tide is in, protected from the worst of the Atlantic Ocean’s swells by the two ‘break walls’ at its entrance. These are an attraction in themselves, used as places to dive, jump and fish from by many of the village’s residents and those who come for a holiday alike. When the tide is out and the sandy beach and rock pools are exposed Port Isaac provides plenty of places for crabbing and beach combing.

Although quiet and one of the less commercial villages in North Cornwall, Port Isaac is located nicely for access (both by road and the well walked South West coastal footpath) to places such as Rock, Daymer Bay, Padstow and the well-known surfing beach, Polzeath in the South and Port Gaverne, Tintagel, Boscastle, Trebarwith and Bude in the North. The market towns of Camelford (with access to Bodmin Moor), Bodmin and Wadebridge are also easily accessible from the village.
